Yes, you can indeed do whatever you want once you gain power, but the consequences are often unbearable for you. Take the Extremes, for example; they can't act recklessly because there's a group of Time Wraiths within the divine power specifically responsible for hunting down those Extremes who act recklessly. There's even a group of Death Gods specifically there to greet Extremes who are about to die, in order to prevent their corpses from being studied.
These are all divine protective measures, but they are only activated after the extreme beings cause trouble. Moreover, they only care about capturing the extreme beings and do not care about the disasters the extreme beings bring to the world.
Moreover, the impact of an extremist changing the world is actually quite significant. For example, if you change an ending, when you return, you will suddenly find that everything around you has undergone subtle changes. For instance, someone who was originally alive will die, or a friend of yours who had a son will become a daughter when you return. Such things are not something an extremist can bear.
Having discussed a lot of the potential dangers brought about by divine power, we can sense Adam's feelings at this moment. Of course, Adam is not the kind of person who regrets something after doing it. He thinks this way only because his morality and sense of responsibility urge him to think of the worst-case scenario first, and then take precautions to prevent such things from happening.
Everyone is responsible for what they do. This is not some kind of saintly spirit, but simply because people have to take responsibility!
Everyone knows the consequences of thinking during battle. Sure enough, Adam was slightly distracted, and ***1 was once again knocked down from the sky. However, as a human with a body of steel, such a small amount of damage could not cause him any harm. He took off again to fight X-1. In the end, human wisdom finally defeated this low-intelligence combat robot.
At this moment, Phoenix flew over from a distance, with Logan standing beside her. However, Logan looked somewhat disheveled, and it was clear that the previous attack had caused him indelible damage, weakening his self-healing ability.
Adam landed next to Logan and Phoenix and asked, "How are you two?"
“I’m fine, Logan is just a little exhausted.” Phoenix supported Logan and said, “Last time, because of that alien, the Phoenix Force within Logan disappeared, so he’s having some trouble fighting now.”
"It's alright, I had a good time today," Logan said, shaking his head slightly to comfort him.
"Don't worry, I'll figure something out," Adam said, looking at Logan.
"Haha, don't worry about me, Adam. Besides, I'm feeling a bit tired too. Since this world doesn't need us, Jean and I have decided to go live in another world." Logan's voice revealed a hint of disappointment and relief.
Adam paused for a moment, opened his mouth, but ultimately didn't try to persuade the two. It has to be said that the US government had indeed crossed the line for mutants this time. However, because the sudden attack killed most of the mutants, Logan and Phoenix didn't mention any revenge. But they were definitely disappointed with this world, and thus had the idea of leaving it. After all, they already knew that this world was not just the one they lived in.
To be honest, if it weren't for these things, Adam would have decided to go to the Divine Realm to find Christine as well. But now is not the time to talk about these things. There are still so many Xiao Bing robots waiting for them, and so many teachers to rescue.
"Can you still fight?" Adam asked.
Logan, puffing on a cigar and slowly exhaling smoke, said, "No problem, I've recovered."
“I’m fine with it too, but I don’t think it’s necessary to continue fighting. Too many teachers have already sacrificed themselves, and we must leave some sparks for the academy,” Jean Grey said to Adam.
“That’s what I meant too, but we need to clear out the teleportation location.” Adam nodded; he knew the casualties were already high enough and they couldn’t continue fighting.
Just then, Quicksilver appeared silently in front of them. Looking at Jean Grey and Logan, who were slightly surprised, Quicksilver smiled and then told them about the Divine Crystal.
"Is this what you got in another universe?" Logan looked at Quicksilver and said to Adam, "Why does it feel somewhat similar to that Barry Allen?"
"The divine power is Barry Allen's power. I don't know how Janata brought it here. She originally said it was a snack and asked me to keep it safe. I never expected it could be used to enhance Quicksilver's abilities. I have to be glad that Quicksilver has gained the recognition of the divine power." Adam shrugged slightly and said.
“Man, I’ve rescued some of the injured teachers. What should we do now?” Quicksilver asked Adam.
“The three of us are going to clear out the teleportation point. You wait for our signal, then bring everyone over. We need to leave,” Adam said, looking around.
"They might not be willing to retreat," Quicksilver said with some concern.
He had encountered several people who refused to retreat no matter what he said, so Quicksilver had to knock them unconscious in the end.
"If you don't want to retreat, just bring them here by force. Don't worry, no one else can move inside the divine force field," Adam said calmly, adding in his mind, "except for that glutton, Janata."
“I like this,” Quicksilver laughed and said.
"Then let's get moving, everyone. I'll contact Athena," Adam said with a slight smile.
Phoenix and Logan nodded slightly, then Phoenix left with Logan, while Quicksilver smiled and said, "Yes, mission accomplished," before disappearing in a flash of lightning.
Adam also leaped off the ground, reaching a height where interference was less intense. He then called Athena. Once he made contact with Athena, he wouldn't have to worry about the interference anymore. After all, future communications would be conducted through magic, and these Xiao Bing robots couldn't block or affect them.
"Master, you finally contacted me! I was so worried!" Athena's anxious voice came from Adam's ears.
"Oh, what's wrong? Why are you in such a hurry?" Adam asked curiously.
"A nuclear missile! The US military has already launched a nuclear missile toward your area!" Athena said anxiously. "According to my prediction, this nuclear missile is about to reach your area."
"What? A nuclear bomb? These ruthless guys, can you intercept them?" Adam asked instinctively.
“No, their nuclear missiles this time are different from the ones they’ve used before. I can’t intercept them from here in the watchtower,” Athena replied.
“Understood. We're clearing the teleportation site now. Maintain contact. Prepare the teleportation chamber and await my orders. I'll figure out a way to get that nuclear bomb,” Adam said through gritted teeth.
Chapter 413 Mushroom Cloud
Just then, a nuclear missile was heading towards Academy Island. Adam panicked. Although he had never tried it before, he was confident he could withstand a nuclear attack. The problem was, he wasn't alone on Academy Island; there were so many teachers who hadn't had time to evacuate. He had to find a way.
Of course, the best solution would be to rush out immediately and remove the nuclear bomb, but Adam worried that he wouldn't be able to evacuate without the teachers, since he was the only one who could contact Athena. The teleportation array couldn't be kept open indefinitely, otherwise the Xiao Bing robot would take the opportunity to enter the watchtower. Although Athena was there, Adam wasn't entirely sure what trouble the Xiao Bing robot might cause.
Therefore, they must stay here and wait for everyone to leave before they can intercept the nuclear bomb. Of course, if it were before, Adam might not have been able to do this, but now that Quicksilver has gained the Speed Force's approval, with his help, Adam can still buy a lot of time.
With time of the essence, Adam didn't hesitate and immediately returned to his previous position. Although the area was surrounded by several Xiaobing robots, Adam wasn't afraid of them at all. He flew over and knocked one of the robots away.
This was not the time for a continuous battle, so Adam did not choose to fight Xiao Bing's robots to the death this time. After all, even he could not kill these robots instantly. He could only use his wits and throw all the robots out.
"Athena, get ready!" Adam cleared out the Xiaobing robots here, then noticed that Phoenix and Logan were already blocking the approaching enemies on the other side, and immediately said to Athena.
“Ready, Master!” Athena had already made preparations, so she replied immediately.
Upon hearing this, Adam immediately threw a signal flare into the sky and then instructed Athena to open the teleportation portal so that the people could be teleported as soon as they arrived.
Upon seeing Adam's signal flare, Quicksilver immediately hoisted the people he had rescued earlier onto his back, carried a few more in his arms, and then ran towards Adam's location. He dodged the pursuing robots along the way, making several sharp turns before finally reaching his destination.
"Four people? How many more?" Adam asked, seeing the four people Quicksilver had brought.
“There are still more than a dozen wounded, and no fewer than forty are still fighting. The rest are all dead,” Quicksilver replied.
"Move the wounded as fast as you can, then bring them back starting from the furthest point. A nuclear bomb is coming." Adam didn't hide the fact that it was a nuclear bomb.
"A nuclear bomb? Are you kidding me? These people are really going to detonate a nuclear bomb here?" Quicksilver exclaimed, clearly not wanting to believe it.
“I don’t want to believe it either, but it’s true. And if they’ve wiped out millions of mutants and left less than five hundred, what else are they incapable of?” Adam said calmly, having completely lost faith in the military.
“Okay, how much time do we have left?” Quicksilver asked.
"Based on the speed of the nuclear bomb, I think we have about ten minutes left. As long as you evacuate quickly, I'll figure out a way to deal with the nuclear bomb," Adam said calmly.
"Alright, I'll have to go all out this time." After saying that, Quicksilver suddenly asked, "Can I pass this message on?"
“Yes, if you encounter anyone nearby, tell them. If you don’t, don’t go looking for them. Just bring back the few people on the outermost edge,” Adam nodded slightly and said.
Quicksilver didn't say anything after hearing this, and once again turned into a bolt of lightning and disappeared.
In the next five minutes, Quicksilver ran back and forth across the battlefield several times. His accelerated metabolism due to the Speed Force left him in a state of extreme hunger, but he still gritted his teeth and brought back nearly thirty-five people from the battlefield. There were still some nearby people left, but at this moment he was completely unable to run.
Adam said to the two teachers who were helping Quicksilver, "Hurry and help him inside. Athena has already prepared an energy meal for him."
Quicksilver asked weakly, "What about the other eight people?"
“You don’t need to worry about it. I’ve got Jean Grey and the others helping. We can already see the nuclear missile. I have to go intercept it myself.” Adam looked up and glanced into the distance, his eyes narrowing as he saw the nuclear missile flying towards them through his super vision.
“Superman, be careful. Or you should leave too,” a mutant teacher said. “You don’t need to risk your life for us. You’ve already helped us a lot. If those guys don’t make it back, then forget about it.”
Although he said these words, tears kept streaming down his face. Among the people who hadn't returned were his younger brother and sister-in-law. Although it was cruel, he still didn't want Superman to risk his life for them. Nuclear bombs were no joke.
"Don't worry, I'm fine. What can a mere nuclear bomb do to me?" Adam said confidently.
"At worst, she'll just faint," Adam thought to himself. He'd never actually tried anything like this before—well, it wasn't something he should even attempt, but he couldn't say that now. The more confident he appeared, the better. As for being called a saint, well, I'm Superman, I'd love to!
Upon hearing this, the mutant teacher opened his mouth, thanked Adam, and then helped Quicksilver into the teleportation array, disappearing. Meanwhile, Phoenix and Logan had already reunited with Adam and had overheard the previous conversation.
“Let me go. I might be able to turn that nuclear bomb into molecules,” Phoenix said to Adam.
“No, I’ll go myself. This operation was specifically designed by the military for mutants. Who knows if this nuclear bomb has that capability too? So you can’t take the risk.” Adam shook his head and said, “This is Athena’s communicator, Jean. You take this. With this, you can communicate with Athena. After rescuing those people, don’t wait for me. Retreat immediately!”
"What about you? I experienced an atomic bomb attack from a distance once, and that feeling is something no human can endure. Even though you're Superman, I'm still worried about the radiation from the nuclear bomb and whether it will pose any danger to you," Logan said, frowning.
"Alright, no need to argue anymore. The nuclear bomb is almost here. I don't know if these guys are designed to explode on contact, so this is the safest spot. I'm leaving!" After Adam finished speaking, he flew away from the scene without waiting for the two to finish their conversation.
"Adam!" Logan called out, but could only see Adam's figure getting further and further away. He sighed and said, "I shouldn't have let him help us. It's all my fault."
"This isn't the time to talk about these things. We need to believe in Adam!" Phoenix tilted her head slightly, stopping her tears from flowing, and said, "He's Superman!"
“Yes, he’s Superman!” Logan breathed a sigh of relief and said, “I’ll stay here and guard the teleportation point. You go and bring those people back. We can’t let Adam’s good intentions go to waste.”
"Okay, be careful!" After saying that, Phoenix Girl sprouted two wings made of flames from her back and flew away.
-----------------far away--------------
"Ha, they thought I was going to die," Adam said to Athena with a forced smile.
Well, as for the communicator, you didn't think there was only one, did you?
"You're being too reckless, Master. While you're not in any immediate danger, we don't know what other consequences might arise," Athena said, somewhat angrily.
"Don't worry, I'm wearing the protective magic gear you and Christine gave me, and didn't you already know from the data in another world that Superman can't be killed by a nuclear bomb?" Adam shrugged and said.
"Yes, we have seen such intelligence, but the problem is that this nuclear bomb is fundamentally flawed. Perhaps the military specially manufactured it for you." Athena couldn't put her mind at ease because the person about to do such a dangerous thing was none other than her lover.
"I have to do this. I have to leave some seeds for this world, for mutants. The military has such technological power now because of me." Adam said calmly, "So, I have to do something, even if I know it's dangerous."
"You must return safely, or I will kill all of humanity in the world!" Athena suddenly said in a ferocious manner.
"What kind of joke is this, Athena? Take good care of those mutants for me. Don't worry, I'll be fine." Adam didn't take Athena's words seriously at all, thinking that Athena was just making a bad joke because she was angry.
Athena replied with only two words to Adam's words before unilaterally hanging up.
"That's really reckless," Adam chuckled dismissively, then stared at the nuclear bomb before him and said, "Let's hope everything's safe!"
Adam reached out his hands to the unremarkable-looking nuclear bomb and immediately noticed a line of text appearing on an electronic screen on its surface, roughly meaning: "Farewell, Superman!"

Chapter 414 The Ultimatum from Athena
On Academy Island, Jean Grey had already accelerated to her maximum speed. Before Logan was surrounded by the Xiaobing robots, she brought back the two closest people. Then, the three of them worked together to repel the surrounding Xiaobing robots.
"Athena, it's ready, open the portal!" Jean Grey shouted.
"No problem, you need to hurry so that the master doesn't have to take any risks." Athena's voice came through the communicator, and then the portal opened.
Jean Grey knew this wasn't the time to talk, so she immediately sent two people into the portal and then flew out, leaving several others waiting for her to rescue them.
This continued for a while. By the time Adam was close to the nuclear bomb, Jean Grey had already rescued six people. At this moment, only the last three people remained on the other side. Although Quicksilver had warned them, the hatred in their hearts made it impossible for them to give up the fight.
"Are you done yet?!"
Just as Jean Grey saw the two off, Athena's slightly indifferent voice came through the communicator.
"Athena, what happened?" As a daughter, Jean Grey was very observant and quickly noticed that Athena's tone was a bit off, so she immediately asked.
