"Heh, I always thought you would be a gentleman like me." Baron Strucker wasn't angry, and said with a faint smile, "But you're right, I do have some things I'd like to ask you for a favor."

"It seems you've got one thing wrong. We're enemies now." Adam stared at the man on the screen and said coldly, "I don't have the habit of cooperating with enemies!"

"Don't rush to refuse. What I want you to do isn't difficult," Baron Strucker said calmly. "And I don't know if you've truly forgotten something or are just pretending, but you should know that Spider-Man is still in our hands."

“As long as we keep working hard, Hydra will cease to exist. Then we can rescue Spider-Man, right?” Adam said coldly. “Besides, being captured by the enemy is a disgrace to superheroes.”

Seeing Adam's indifferent expression, Baron Strucker laughed and said, "It's ridiculous that you're trying to act so aloof, Superman. Let me show you what your friend looks like now, and then we can continue our negotiations."

Then, Baron Strucker's figure disappeared from the virtual screen, and what appeared was a beautifully decorated little room, where Peter Parker, the Spider-Man and New Yorker's good neighbor, lay on the bed, seemingly bored, and did nothing except occasionally glance at the camera that was monitoring him.

"Well, we treated your friend very well and ensured he wasn't harmed in any way." Baron Strucker reappeared on the screen, looking at Adam with a smile: "This is our sincerity."

"What are your demands?" Adam asked after a moment's thought.

“Haha, that’s more like it.” Baron Strucker seemed quite pleased and said, “Only when both sides are willing can negotiations proceed.”

"Time, place, and conditions!"

Adam said something brief, then stared at the other person with a cold face, not saying anything more, because he really didn't want to listen to this person anymore. He was extremely uncomfortable. In Chinese terms, the person in front of him was a pretentious person.

“Mr. Superman is certainly outspoken,” Baron Strucker said, his smile fading. “In return, we will have the Avengers halt their attacks and sign an agreement with you that we will not engage in any terrorist activities that endanger the safety of Earth for the next thirty years.”

"Oh, so these are your conditions? If so, I might consider it," Adam said casually.

"That was the first condition. There's another one. If you agree to both of our conditions, we will refrain from any terrorist activities against Earth for the next thirty years, as per the agreement, and we will also return Spider-Man to you," Baron Strucker said calmly.

"There's another condition? Tell me about it," Adam asked, looking interested. "If your second condition isn't too difficult for me, perhaps I can consider agreeing to it."

“I need something, and it just so happens to be in your hands,” Baron Strucker said, looking at Adam.

"What? You don't mean the Watchtower, do you?" Adam looked at the other person with a half-smile and said, "If that's the case, it's a real shame. A Spider-Man isn't that valuable."

“Of course not, we don’t have such an appetite,” Baron Strucker shook his head and said, “I only want the gem at the top of the staff in Loki’s hand. We were planning to take it while you were fighting the aliens, but your robot army blocked us.”

"You've confessed without being asked. So it was your men who used the electromagnetic pulse to interfere with the watchtower and disrupt the robot forces' defensive perimeter that day." Adam shook his head and said, "But you're being too naive. I won't agree to your request. That thing is far too dangerous and not suitable for leaders of terrorist groups like you!"

“Don’t refuse so quickly,” Baron Strucker said calmly, maintaining his composure. “Negotiations are about reaching an agreement through disagreements. These are my conditions; perhaps you can discuss them.”

“It’s rare that you’re so sincere. Alright, I’ll discuss it with the members, but don’t get your hopes up too high, because almost all of my members are the kind of people who can’t stand being threatened.” Adam nodded slightly at the other party and said, “Alright, let’s end this pleasant meeting here. Contact me again in a few days.”

After Adam finished speaking, he hung up. Turning his head, he saw Athena giving him a victory sign.

"All done?" Adam asked with a smile.

"Yes, we now know where Spider-Man is being held." Athena said with a grin, "It seems your strategy was correct, Master."

"It's just a simple guess. They kidnapped Spider-Man and then sent these easily identifiable robots. I knew they definitely wanted something from us," Adam said calmly. "Plus, you mentioned last time that they tried to infiltrate the Watchtower, which further confirmed my idea. And today he said he needs that Philosopher's Stone that can control people's minds."

"Should I inform everyone?" Athena asked. "I can see that everyone is holding their breath and about to explode."

"Okay, let's inform everyone to meet at the Watchtower at noon." Adam said, then pondered for a moment before adding, "Oh, and let Tony know too. We're cooperating with the Avengers this time. After Christine rescues Spider-Man, we'll immediately attack Hydra's base!"

"Understood, Master. I will notify everyone immediately!"

Athena disappeared after she finished speaking. The body she had been in before was just a projection of Athena. Because the watchtower was of great importance, Adam had Athena personally oversee the watchtower base and take charge of everything related to the watchtower.

“Wait a moment, Peter, we will definitely get you out!” Adam said firmly, “and then let these guys who dared to kidnap you taste the wrath of our Justice League!”

Chapter 321 Saving the Superhero Spider-Man

The watchtower, because of Athena's notification, was where the Justice League and the Avengers gathered. They sat around a large round table with the Justice League logo, and then everyone waited for Adam's explanation.

Adam didn't say much, but simply recounted what had happened, saying, "It seems what we did before was indeed effective; the enemy is starting to get anxious."

"So, Superman, you're planning to take down Hydra in one fell swoop this time?" Captain America frowned and said, "But believe me, Hydra isn't so easy to defeat. Seventy years have passed and Hydra is still around, which is proof of that."

“I know that if you cut off one head, another will grow back,” Adam smiled and said, “but what I need to do now is cut off the newly grown heads. Do you want to participate?”

“Of course, I’ve always wanted to see this ugly thing off.” Hawkeye shrugged and said, “Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find their real base.”

"But can we now be certain that the place Athena found is Hydra's true stronghold?" A black man, who seemed to have joined the Avengers because of his admiration for Captain America, was fighting in a single-person flying machine, which they called Falcon.

“Although we don’t know if it’s a real base, it’s definitely a very important one,” Athena explained. “Moreover, your attacks these past few days have been very effective, and it seems you’ve gotten close to their bottom line. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have suddenly brought up Spider-Man to negotiate with us at this time.”

"So what's the plan?" Tony asked.

"The plan is simple: first, have the Sun Goddess use teleportation to rescue Spider-Man, and then we can attack from both sides!" Adam said calmly.

"Uh, it really is quite simple." Captain America shrugged, then suddenly whispered to Tony, "Does your brother always do this?"

"Huh?" Tony looked at Captain America with a puzzled expression.

"He looks very confident," Captain America whispered.

“Well, firstly, you don’t need to speak so softly, because no matter how softly you speak, my brother can still hear you.” Tony finished speaking, looked at Captain America’s somewhat embarrassed face, smiled slightly, and then explained, “Secondly, it’s very simple. My brother is very powerful and currently has no rivals on Earth.”

“The last one!” Adam said to the embarrassed Captain America, “It’s because so many of us are working together that our strength far surpasses that of Hydra. Except for a few of you who need to be careful with your stamina, there shouldn’t be any problems.”

Captain America looked around and thought to himself, "That makes sense. It seems that only Hawkeye, Falcon, and the Punisher are ordinary people. The rest are either mutants, superpowered individuals, or even legendary gods, demons, or demigods."

"Maybe I'm worrying for nothing," Captain America thought to himself.

"So is there anything you don't understand?" Adam asked.

"No, when do we leave?"

Logan had a cigar in his mouth, but didn't light it. He knew he was in a meeting, but he was used to having cigars, so this time he was just biting it unconsciously.

"Athena, how many minutes until the watchtower reaches the destination?" Adam asked.

The watchtower isn't always stationary over the United States. When it needs to be teleported to other countries, it first needs to be moved to the destination before being teleported. That's why Adam asked Athena this question, since it would take at least half a day if it started from the United States.

"We will arrive over the country of our destination in five minutes, at which point we can teleport," Athena reported to Adam.

"So, we're going to airdrop directly in front of their base?" Dr. Bruce Banner asked with curiosity. "I'm really curious about this teleportation technology. May I take a look at some of the equipment in your teleportation room later?"

"Once all these things are finished, the professor can visit when he comes back."

Adam didn't refuse, after all, these teleportation techniques were based on a combination of Martian and Kryptonian technology from his memories, and were completely different from Earth's technology. Without some basic knowledge, no one else could understand them.

“Thank you, Mr. Adam,” Dr. Bruce Banner said with a smile.

Adam didn't say anything about it, sipping his coffee and waiting for Athena's message. He was very confident about today's operation. If he, leading the world's two best superhero teams, still couldn't handle Hydra, then Adam wouldn't need to continue being Superman; he could just leave Earth and wander around.

Five minutes passed quickly. Adam finished his coffee, and Athena had already informed him that everything was ready. Everyone went to the teleportation room and were teleported directly to a valley not far from Hydra's base in a mountainous region of Norway.

"It's really cold here."

Dr. Bruce Banner is a scientist when he is not the Hulk. Although he has learned some yoga and other things in order to control the Hulk, he does not dare to do too strenuous exercise due to his own reasons. Therefore, he is the weakest among the people who came here today. He complained about the weather in the mountainous area as soon as he came out of the teleportation array.

“Perhaps the Doctor should call Hulk out now, since the weather here might get even colder.” The Sun Goddess smiled at the Doctor and said, “Even if I were to rescue Spider-Man, I would have to see Spider-Man himself before I could use the teleportation spell.”

“Okay, okay, then see you later,” Dr. Bruce Banner shrugged.

Although Dr. Bruce Banner has decided to face his own power, he still separates the Hulk from himself. In addition, when he becomes the Hulk, the doctor's consciousness does fall into a semi-dormant state, which is why he says goodbye.

Because the doctor had completely controlled his anger, after saying goodbye to everyone, he frowned, gave a soft shout, and began to transform. First, his entire body swelled up, and then his skin began to turn green. In the end, the hero Hulk, who had displayed great power in the Battle of New York and made the evil god want to cry, made his appearance.

Tony was already dressed as Iron Man at this point. He glanced at Hulk and suddenly said, "Perhaps we can contact Mr. Fantastic and the others to make Hulk a suit. Otherwise, I'm worried that the Doctor might buy a fake if he keeps testing the elasticity of the jeans like this."

"Hmph~~~ Don't laugh at me!" Hulk said, somewhat annoyed.

"Calm down, bro, I'm doing this for your own good," Tony waved his hand and said.

"Alright, stop arguing. Now, Sun Goddess, you should begin your operation." Adam stopped the two from arguing further and said to the Sun Goddess, "Athena will give you the map over there. Once you find Spider-Man, come back immediately, and then we'll launch our attack."

"Shouldn't we go over there and make some noise to attract the enemy's attention?" Captain America asked.

"No need," Adam shook his head. "I'm worried they'll know we're here to rescue Spider-Man, and might harm him." "Besides, the Sun Goddess can go in alone without anyone noticing. Trust her!"

Captain America realized Adam's words made sense, so he didn't say anything more. Then he saw the Sun Goddess, clad in magnificent Greek-style armor, suddenly disappear in a burst of purple light.

"Huh, is this... magic?" Captain America asked, somewhat puzzled.

“That’s right, so let’s wait for her to return successfully!” Adam had a lot of trust in Christine. After all, she was a genius who was skilled in both magic and martial arts. A mere Hydra stronghold wouldn’t pose any problem for her.

And so, Adam and his group lay in wait in a place where they could see the castle built by Hydra on the mountain, awaiting news from the Sun Goddess. Soon, a flash of magical light appeared, and the Sun Goddess appeared alone in the valley, looking somewhat disheveled. What angered Adam the most was that bright red blood was continuously flowing from her abdomen.

"What happened?" Adam appeared beside the Sun Goddess almost instantly and asked, "Who on earth, who hurt you like this?!"

Adam could hardly believe his eyes. The sun goddess Christine was wearing the armor given to her by the goddess of wisdom, Athena. He had never imagined that Christine would be injured. Therefore, Adam was furious and no longer cared that Christine's identity had been discovered.

"It's Spider-Man! He seems to be under control. I wasn't prepared and he stabbed me!" The Sun Goddess said before fainting.

Chapter 322 Storming the Castle

Adam never imagined that Christine would fail, let alone get injured in a Hydra stronghold that he completely despised. Although Christine had just said that Spider-Man was being controlled, simply controlling Spider-Man wouldn't be enough to hurt Christine, since she was wearing protective gear given to her by the goddess Athena. Only a weapon of the same kind could possibly injure Christine.

But reality slapped Adam hard in the face. He began to blame himself, realizing that if he hadn't become arrogant due to his recent increase in strength, he might not have made such a plan to annihilate the enemy in one fell swoop. In the end, it was all his own fault.

Thinking this, Adam looked at the unconscious Christine and whispered, "Athena, activate the teleportation immediately and bring Christine back for treatment!"

“Yes, Master, I’m sorry, I didn’t notice anything unusual about Spider-Man,” Athena said apologetically.

“You don’t need to apologize. In the end, it was my own arrogance that led me to believe there were no weapons or people on Earth capable of harming Christine. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have let Christine go.” Adam shook his head and said, “Take her over first and check on her condition!”

"Hey bro, what's going on?" Tony rushed over and asked.

Tony was shocked to see Christine unconscious. In fact, a long time ago, Tony and Christine had tested the defensive capabilities of Christine's armor. No matter whether it was a conventional weapon or an energy weapon, none of them could penetrate the armor's exterior. It could be said to be a very powerful piece of protective gear. However, Tony never expected to see Christine bleeding from her abdomen today. How could Tony not be shocked? Moreover, he could vaguely sense Adam's current mood.

When Adam saw that everyone was looking at him and Christine, he paused slightly and said, "Actually, the Sun Goddess is Christine. She was slightly injured this time because of my mistake."

"So that's how it is. In other words, the enemy probably already guessed that we might come to rescue Spider-Man," Captain America said in a deep voice.

"That must be right. I was too careless and let Christine get injured and put in danger." Adam said with a look of self-reproach, "If I had thought more and investigated more at the time, perhaps this scene would not have happened."

"I can't blame you, it's just that the other party is too cunning," Black Widow said, comforting Adam.

Although the two are now complete strangers, they are still friends. As a friend, and someone who understands Adam well, Black Widow knows that Adam is filled with self-blame at this moment.

“You were just blinded by power before,” Logan said, biting his cigar. “Those who are too confident in their own power will be harmed by it. I once heard a saying that goes like this. What you need to do now is not to blame yourself, but to lead us to destroy the enemy's stronghold and avenge your lover!”

“That’s right. Now that we’ve come this far, we can’t leave empty-handed.” Johnny snorted, and purple magical flames instantly erupted from his body. He had transformed into the Ghost Rider through these flames (which allowed him to change at any time), and said calmly.

“Yeah, I’m a little annoyed that Christine got hurt.” Phoenix’s eyes turned gold, and VanVleet was like a burning flame.

Adam stood up, looking at the Justice League members who were staring at him and waiting for his orders, as well as Tony and his teammates who were watching him with concern. A warmth washed over him. In addition, he had just received a message from Athena saying that Christine was out of danger and that she had helped dispel the divine power from her wounds. Adam knew that he could not continue to blame himself here.

"Alright, now that the enemy knows we're here, let's make a scene!" Adam looked at the distant castle and said hatefully, "Let these people taste the consequences of angering us!"

Captain America looked at Adam, who had recovered, and smiled, saying, "Well then, let's keep up the good work, Avengers!"

Tony lowered his visor and said coldly, "It's infuriating that my loved ones were harmed. Hydra, attack!" With that, he took to the air and flew directly towards the castle not far away.

Adam chuckled upon hearing this and exclaimed, "That guy!" He then leaped into the air and followed Tony.

And so, the superheroes used their abilities one by one, some flying, some running, and decided to enter Hydra's base directly through the main gate of the castle. After all, because of Christine's incident, the enemy already knew they were coming, so they didn't make any plans.
