Upon hearing this, Adam felt a jolt of paralysis throughout his body and abruptly stood up, reaching out to grab the man, who had been incessantly babbling and had greatly angered him. He knew he was doomed. He had underestimated Superman. No, not just him, but even the people in his organization possessed such destructive power that Superman could remain invincible simply because of his steel-like defenses.

However, the leader didn't want to wait to die. He still had one last trump card: the bank employees lying behind him, whom he and his men had just used. If only…

"If you're a little faster, I'll let you go because I'm worried about the lives of the women behind you who are being held hostage!" Before he could finish thinking of a plan, he heard a hand reaching out.

He stopped abruptly. He looked at Superman, who was still standing in front of him, and then turned around with great difficulty to see that there was another one standing behind him. It was obvious that the words he had just heard were spoken by Superman behind him.

"Afterimage?! Haha, I should have expected that. Your speed has already exceeded people's expectations of you."

Adam said expressionlessly, "That's right, it's an afterimage. It's a pity that if you hadn't had such thoughts, you might not have suffered like this!"

The leader said with a wry smile, "People always strive to rise. No one wants to stand on the ground their whole life, letting others stand on their shoulders."
