Chapter One Arrives

New York, on a private island in the New York waters.

Howard Stark and his wife Maria were vacationing on this private island. As for why they were vacationing here? Just look at that little guy crawling around on a picnic blanket over there, and you'll know.

That's right, this is Howard Stark's child. Howard Stark, who is almost 70 years old, finally has a child, so of course he cherishes him dearly. You read that right, Howard Stark is indeed over 70, but people who don't know him by appearance would think he's only in his thirties. However, those who know him know his real age; his life is truly legendary.

Howard Stark participated in the superhero project during World War II. He was good friends with Captain America, and together they left behind many legendary stories on the battlefield. Of course, his job was to prepare equipment for Captain America and his Howling Commandos, but he still made a good name for himself.

Howard Stark hasn't aged much because he developed a serum from Captain America's blood. Although this serum doesn't have the same superhuman abilities as the original serum and can't turn someone into a superhero, it can still extend lifespan.

Unfortunately, Howard, who injected the serum into himself, was in a coma for about a month. As a result, the researchers were prosecuted by the military and the rest of the Stark family, ultimately sentenced to death, and all research data was destroyed. Howard, who awoke a month later, was powerless to stop it, and the serum hadn't yet had any effect. It wasn't until Howard found the Tesseract underwater and began studying it that he realized the serum was a success. His coma was due to insufficient energy. However, with all the research data lost, and knowing the catastrophe that mass production of this substance would cause, he kept quiet.

With the help of the serum, Howard found that his physiological signs had become very slow, and his body was as if it had been in a state of hibernation. Although he did not gain Captain America's superpowers, he could live for several more years without any problem, which made him very happy at the time. After all, as an inventor, what he feared most was that his inspiration would surge out, but he would not have time to complete it.

Everything should have continued like this, but more than a decade ago, he suddenly had a concern: he had no children! He was also a human being, and he didn't want the legacy he had built to be left uninherited. After all, he didn't know how long he would live, and he might suddenly die one day. So he left the research lab in order to find his other half.

As the saying goes, perseverance pays off. Five years ago, he finally met his current wife, Maria Stark. Oh, right, back then she wasn't called Maria Stark, but Maria Collins Carbone. After that, things were much simpler. He used his superb dating skills to completely captivate Maria, who was then the school beauty, and the two got married in less than a month.

And the little guy in front of us is Tony Stark, an adorable little cutie with brown hair and eyes, born a year ago. You can imagine how Howard felt when Tony was born, so he cared a lot about the little guy. When his wife told him that Tony was unhappy staying at home, he immediately dropped everything and brought his wife and son to this private island, all for Tony Stark.

Maria Stark noticed that her husband seemed a little distracted, so she asked with concern, "What's wrong? Is there any important work at the company?"

Howard Stark snapped out of his reverie, kissed his wife, and said, "Oh, it's not about the company. I was just looking at this kid and it suddenly reminded me of my past."

Maria laughed after hearing this, "Oh, what's wrong with playboy Howard? He's suddenly starting to lament about life. This isn't like you at all."

Howard laughed when he heard this and said, "That's true. I finally have time to spend with you and your son, so don't think about anything else. Oh, look, my son is looking at me." After saying that, he picked up little Tony and kissed him.

After being kissed by Howard, little Tony started crying, which embarrassed Howard, who had no choice but to hand the child to his wife.

Maria rolled her eyes at him, took the child, and said, "You really are something, your beard is poking the child, don't you even know how to trim it?"

Howard smiled and said, "Ah, sorry, I was planning to trim it yesterday, but the research was at a very critical stage, and by the time I finished, it was already the next day."

Maria gently rubbed her husband's face with a touch of tenderness and said, "You don't need to push yourself so hard. You need to take care of yourself."

Howard laughed and said, "Oh, I will, hehe, look, the little guy is laughing again."

Maria sighed softly after hearing this, knowing that she couldn't persuade Howard. He was a man born for science. Although he was very funny and romantic when he wasn't working, he became very stubborn when he was working, especially when doing research. Today, the family was able to have a picnic, thanks to Tony.

Time slowly passed, and the happy moments of the day gradually came to a close. Maria, holding her sleeping child, leaned against Howard's chest, her eyes slightly closed, a most charming smile on her lips, clearly very satisfied with everything that had happened that day. Howard turned to look at his wife, a hint of guilt flashing in his eyes. He knew he had neglected her a bit lately, but that was just his nature; once he got engrossed in something, he lost track of time. So he didn't say anything, but instead held his wife tightly, slowly sharing this rare moment of peace with her.

Suddenly, a whooshing sound shattered the picturesque scene. Howard jolted awake, his brow furrowing. He saw a massive fireball hurtling towards the island from the horizon, before crashing into the forest not far from them with a deafening roar.

"Wow~~~~" Tony, who was having a date with cute baby girls in his dream, was awakened by the loud noise. He then discovered that the lovely baby girls had disappeared, so he played a protesting sound without any politeness.

Howard snapped out of his daze upon hearing Tony's voice and said to his wife, "You stay here and watch over Tony. I've already notified Jarvis; he'll be here soon. I'll go check on him."

Maria gritted her teeth after hearing this and said, "Alright, be careful!" She knew she couldn't stop Howard, so she didn't say anything more.

Howard smiled slightly, kissed his wife and son on the cheek, and then ran towards the forest.

Soon, Howard found the spot in the forest where the meteorite had landed, and then he saw something incredible in the crater: a baby of about two years old wrapped in red cloth, staring at him with bright blue eyes.

Howard was shocked when he saw this. He had thought it was just a meteorite. The reason he came in person was because of an inventor and scientist’s thirst for the unknown. But he never expected that what fell from the sky was just a two-year-old baby, and a living baby at that. This was too unbelievable.

"Wow...hehe..." A crisp laugh brought the shocked Howard back to his senses.

Howard looked at the baby in the crater and smiled slightly, saying, "You little guy, you came at the right time. If it had been a few years earlier, I would have studied you immediately. But things are different now. From today onwards, you are my adopted son." After saying that, he jumped into the crater and picked up the baby.

Strangely enough, the baby wasn't afraid of strangers at all. When Howard picked him up, the baby chuckled, which solidified Howard's earlier decision, which he had been regretting, and made him determined not to let anyone else discover the child.

Howard picked up the child and then took the red cloth that had fallen to the ground. Only when he held it in his hand did Howard realize that it was not a red cloth at all, but a uniform. It was a dark blue, tight-fitting uniform with a red cape, just like Captain America's uniform. There was a large S-shaped logo on the front of the uniform.

Howard stared at the uniform in his hand for a moment, then looked at the baby and said, "It seems your identity is not simple at all. Hehe, since this is a uniform, where are the other parts?" He then looked around and found a pair of dark red combat boots not far away.

After finding all the dark red combat boots, Howard placed the uniform on the ground, then took out his phone and called his butler, saying, "Jarvis, come to me alone!"

Chapter Two: Stealing the Sky and Changing the Sun

When Jarvis, the Stark family's butler, found Howard Stark, Howard was humming an unknown tune to lull the child to sleep. Upon seeing Jarvis, he gestured with his chin towards the child.

Jarvis lowered his voice, understanding the implication, and asked, "Sir, who is this child?"

Howard looked at the child lying quietly in his arms and said with a smile, "This is a treasure bestowed upon me by God. I plan to adopt him as my son. He will be the eldest son of the Stark family in the future."

Jarvis was taken aback, then exclaimed in shock, "This is what just fell here?"

Howard nodded slightly and said, "Yes, that's him. Okay, now go and take Madam and Tony back to the villa. Then go to my lab, put box number 42 in a larger box, and bring it to me. You do all this yourself. Also, don't let anyone find out that there's something in that box."

Jarvis nodded and said, "Understood, my lord, I'll take care of it right away."

Howard nodded, then said, "Oh, and don't forget to bring me a coat, the softest kind!"

Jarvis immediately understood why Howard wanted the clothes, and smiled, "Don't worry, sir, I will make sure everything is done perfectly and without leaving any clues."

Howard grunted in agreement and said, "Go and come back quickly!"

Jarvis bowed slightly, then quickly left the scene, returning to Maria Stark and her bodyguards less than five minutes later, panting.

Maria Stark frowned at Jarvis and asked, "Jarvis, where's Howard? What happened?"

Jarvis explained, "The master has discovered a meteorite and is conducting a preliminary examination over there. He instructed me to bring the madam and young master back to the villa and, while I'm at it, to deliver some equipment from the laboratory to him."

Maria Stark sighed and said, "I understand. Let's go back then."

She had originally planned to have a candlelight dinner with Howard, but knowing that he was probably already in work mode, she didn't say anything.

Jarvis nodded, then said to the head of the bodyguards, "The master is inside. Don't go in. You know he hates being disturbed while he's working. Just form a circle and keep watch here. I don't think anyone would want to mess with the master here."

The bodyguard captain was a very strong white man, dressed in a black suit with a bulging waist, clearly carrying a weapon. Hearing Jarvis's words, he nodded slightly and said, "Don't worry, Mr. Howard will be fine here!"

Jarvis nodded slightly after hearing this, and then left the island with Maria Stark and Tony.

On the other side, Howard Stark, who was holding his sleeping child and lost in memories while looking at his uniform, suddenly felt his phone start vibrating.

Howard's expression changed, and he took out his phone, asking, "What is it?"

"Something just landed on your island. Do you know what it is?"

Howard scoffed, "Don't even think about it. That's my private property. The meteorite that landed here is my private property. You have no right to interfere!"

“That thing didn’t fall from outer space to Earth; it appeared directly over your island, so we have the right to know what it is, as you know.” The person on the other end of the phone clearly didn’t believe Howard’s words.

Howard scoffed and said, "So what? You won't get your hands on this until I've finished researching it. And don't talk to me about power. You're just a Level 9 agent now. Don't think you can do whatever you want just because you've become the director."

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone before someone said, "Alright, Mr. Stark, I hope you can send us a copy of the information after you've finished your research."

Howard said coldly, "I'll consider it. Also, don't even think about spying on me. You know what I'm capable of!" He then hung up the phone.

There is a very secluded island in the Pacific Ocean. If someone were to land on this island, they would find that all the plants and mountains here are man-made. In the center of this island, there is a hollowed-out mountain. No, rather than a controlled mountain, it is more like a mountain that was specially made to conceal the buildings inside.

Inside an office in the building, a one-eyed middle-aged Black man hung up the phone with a gloomy expression and said, "Stark refused!"

Sitting in front of the one-eyed black man was an elderly man with gray hair. He chuckled and said, "Heh, this is the real Howard Stark. I knew he would refuse. Don't be discouraged, after all, he is one of the veterans of the agency."

The one-eyed black man said seriously after hearing this, "But the problem is, that thing is not a meteorite at all, and you just heard the report that it appeared directly in the sky above that island. It is very likely a product of space technology, and that thing is very likely to endanger human safety!"

The old man waved his hand and said, "Alright, I know Howard. He just wants to be the first to study it. Don't worry, once he's finished his research, he'll send the bureau a copy of the information you need."

The one-eyed black man replied, "Who knows if what he gave us is the same thing that landed there today!"

The old man narrowed his eyes and said seriously, "Nick! I appreciate your work ethic, but don't interfere too much in some things! Howard Stark is one of the founders of our bureau; he knows better than you what's good for the world! You shouldn't doubt such a person!"

The one-eyed black man, known as Nick, gritted his teeth and said, "I understand! But I'll reserve my opinion!"

After Howard hung up the phone, he found that the child had been woken up and was looking at him with bright blue eyes.

Howard's mood suddenly improved upon seeing this, and he said, "Hehe, it seems you're my source of joy. Sigh, they've really gone too far lately, using the name of justice to manipulate people's thoughts, completely deviating from our original purpose. Oh well, why bother telling you all this to a little one like you? Hehe." After saying that, he reached out and pressed a few buttons on his watch, and an invisible and silent wave spread throughout the entire island.

Howard looked at the child and said, "That way, they can't use satellites to monitor us anymore, hehe." The child laughed when he saw Howard laugh.

Half an hour later, Jarvis came in carrying a large box with some difficulty and said, "Master, I finally got it. Oh dear, I'm exhausted. I had to carry this thing all by myself so no one would find out."

Howard chuckled and said, "Oh, then I'll give you a raise when we get back. Hmm, I'll just add a cent, haha."

After Howard finished speaking, he handed the child to Jarvis, then opened the box and carefully placed a shimmering, crystal-like object into the crater. Finally, he took out the small box inside, put the clothes and uniform Jarvis had brought into it, and then placed the child inside. Throughout the entire process, the child remained quiet and well-behaved.

After looking at him, Jarvis said, "Hehe, this child is really well-behaved. He doesn't make a fuss at all, and he's not afraid of strangers either."

Howard laughed, "That's why I said he's a treasure bestowed upon me by God. Alright, Jarvis, you watch the child and try to get him to sleep. I'll tidy this place up a bit, so no one will suspect anything. But it would be best to take the soil with you when you go back, just in case."

Jarvis replied, "Okay, I'll watch the little guy!" He then began to sing softly to help the child fall asleep quickly.

After a short while, Howard breathed a sigh of relief, wiped his sweat, and said, "Alright, now call them over, and then we'll go back!"

Jarvis nodded after hearing this, then picked up his phone and called the head of the bodyguards, asking him to bring the others in to carry the boxes. Howard left the box containing the child slightly ajar, and when the bodyguards arrived, he had them load the objects from the pit and some of the soil into the larger box. Then, he led everyone back to his laboratory by helicopter.

Chapter Three: Adam Stark

Evening, Stark Industries, Howard Stark's private laboratory.

There were only Howard and Jarvis in the lab; Howard had kicked everyone else out, and of course, no one thought anything of it, as they were used to it.

Howard carefully took the child out of the box, then said to Jarvis, "Could you help me prepare some equipment?"

Jarvis said, "Yes, sir, I'll get right on it!" and then began to busy himself inside.

Jarvis, whose last name is unknown, has been with Howard for about twenty-five years. He is not only Howard's butler but also his assistant, and he is present at all the important experiments Howard participates in.

A short while later, Jarvis had prepared a series of examination instruments and walked to Howard's side, saying, "Sir, everything is ready!" He then handed Howard a lancet.

After Howard took the lancet, he had Jarvis hold the child down to draw some blood for testing. He simply wanted to see how this child differed from a human child. He quickly discovered the difference: the lancet wouldn't go in!

Jarvis noticed this as well and asked in confusion, "Huh, what happened, sir?"
