A hot water basin was right next to her, and Bai Zhou took out toiletries from the package she had left in the car and began to take care of herself.

While brushing her teeth, Bai Zhou suddenly felt that cleaning like this every day was a bit of a hassle.

When will he be able to obtain that kind of cleansing and purification magic? That would make things much easier.

"Your food, Your Majesty."

Kal'tsit brought over two bowls of meat soup and handed one to Daylight.

"Wow, that's really good."

I took a bite during the day, and the taste was no worse than what the master chef in the imperial kitchen made. Moreover, it was hot, which made it even better.

“It’s such a lucky thing to travel with you, Kal’tsit.”

During the day, he lavishly praised the lynx.

"You are so talented, I'd love to bring you back to the Great Yan and appoint you as prime minister."

"You flatter me."

Although she didn't know what being a good cook had to do with becoming prime minister, Kal'tsit would never agree to such a thing. The upper echelons of the Great Yan were too chaotic; she wasn't about to get involved in that mess.

Seeing that it was broad daylight, he didn't say much and changed the subject.

"Speaking of which, I haven't seen you release Mon3tr these past two days."

During the day, he really misses that handsome little monster.

He had only ever petted Zizai before, but because Zizai was so big, he could only pet a part of her, which wasn't enough for him.

Now that he'd caught another little monster he could pet, he was itching to get his hands dirty.

"Mon3tr does not need to be released unless absolutely necessary."

"Moreover, the Aoneng you taught me is more convenient for daily use."

Kal'tsit slowly swirled the bowl in her hand, completely unconcerned about how despicable her "fickle" behavior was.

"Okay, sure. Can I have another bowl?"

He downed the scalding hot broth in one gulp and looked at Kal'tsit's chef during the day to ask for instructions.

"Please feel free to do as you please."

"That's wonderful. I haven't enjoyed such delicious food in a long time."

Being a true dragon is no good at all. To prevent poisoning, he can't eat much of any dish, and he can only eat cold dishes. Only occasionally can he get a hot meal or two by going to Red Dragon or Twelve.

However, now it's time for Second Uncle to taste this bitterness.

Just thinking about Chi Long's miserable face made Bai Zhou want to burst into laughter.

"..."

Watching Bai Zhou excitedly run off to serve the soup, Kal'tsit gently shook her head and drank the lukewarm soup.

After having breakfast, the two set off again.

"If nothing unexpected happens, we should be able to see the village around noon."

Bai Zhou looked at the map and confirmed their current location.

"Is there any supplies that need to be replenished?"

The two are now considered "companions" traveling together. Even though Kal'tsit hasn't acknowledged it, Bai Zhou doesn't mind treating her as a companion because of their agreement. Furthermore, Kal'tsit herself is a rare talent, and Bai Zhou is even less inclined to treat her like one of his own and take extra care of the treasures he has his eye on.

"We need to buy some salt and fresh water. If possible, you can trade some seasonings with the villagers there."

Kal'tsit only mentioned the most basic required supplies and then said nothing more.

"Hmm, I'll buy some more vegetables and fruits, and if possible, some local specialty snacks as well."

“I’ve heard that Syracuse’s red wine is very good. Although the Great Yan Palace has bought some, I’ve only drunk a little bit of Yan’s old wine and have never tasted it.”

"And ham... ham, Syracuse ham is quite fragrant."

I haven't had such a leisurely outing during the day in a long time.

After leaving the capital, he was either traveling or cultivating. In addition, the environment in Kazdel itself was not good, so he didn't have much time to experience life.

Now that I've found someone, and I'm in a foreign land with wonderful local customs and culture, I suddenly feel a surge of leisure and elegance during the day.

Moreover, while other things can be tolerated, the quality of life absolutely cannot be compromised.

"...Please feel free to do as you please."

Kal'tsit neither objected nor cheered in agreement.

She just couldn't stop what she was doing; she wasn't a masochist. Since there was an opportunity to improve her quality of life, why not take it?

"Then it's settled. Tian Sha, hurry up."

The controlled pack animals gradually increased their speed, heading straight for the village on the map.

"This……"

I'm in a bad mood during the day.

Very bad.

He was originally excited to do a big shopping spree in the village, but when he happily entered the village, he found that it was already deserted.

Everywhere there were burned-down houses and villagers who had died in various ways.

"Was this... a robbery? But there shouldn't be such stupid robbers."

If they had known that these villagers were like leeks that could grow uncontrollably in the eyes of the bandits, they would have been left to starve for a while after they had all been harvested.

In broad daylight, a villager's corpse was kicked aside; the dead man's face still retained the appearance he had before his death.

An angry face.

"It can't be robbers."

Kelsey checked the condition of the other corpse.

"The villagers here... probably died in infighting."

She picked up a sickle and examined it closely.

“There are still traces of blood on it; some of the villagers’ wounds were caused by these farm tools.”

"But what is it that makes them hate each other so much?"

"I don't know."

Kal'tsit had seen every corpse. In some of them, the reflection of the person he had fought still lingered in their eyes.

"None of them are infected with Oripathy, so we can temporarily rule out revenge as a result of hatred and exclusion."

So what could possibly cause these villagers, who live together day and night, to turn against each other?

"Kal'tsit, I know what it is, look there."

Kal'tsit looked in the direction of the voice during the day and immediately summoned Mon3tr.

What came into view was a deformed, enormous spherical creature made of pieces of flesh stitched together.

It has two short legs and three strong hands that hold a machete, a spear, and a hammer respectively.

At the center of that "round" body was a large mouth full of sharp teeth, with a tiny eye on each side of the mouth, and a clown's head protruding from the mouth, drooping on the ground.

"What kind of monster is this?"

"Is Syracuse really that rich in these strange things?"

The Heavenly Fiend had already covered Bai Zhou's body, his fist blades drawn in preparation for battle.

"This thing... is not a naturally occurring organism."

Kal'tsit frowned as she analyzed the possible origins of this thing.

"Such a thing might exist in Iberian laboratories. But Syracuse..."

Those "proud" wolves wouldn't do such an experiment.

"No matter what it is, we have to get rid of it first."

The daytime has already been taken up by A.

"Throw away those tattered bodies, come and merge with us, and continue the never-ending bloody revelry!!!"

An inappropriate, joking laugh came from that mouth; the unknown monster had used a sonic attack.

"Ha, my body is far more valuable than your pile of rotten flesh!"

Bai Zhou raised his right arm, his left hand brushing against it, and a long, silvery blade emerged from its edge.

With his left hand, he flicked out a golden rope, grabbed the monster's deformed leg, and using the force of the pull, the long blade instantly pierced through the monster's body.

With a single blow, it was split in two and collapsed like two puddles of mud.

"...So weak?"

Kal'tsit's brows furrowed even more.

If this monster is so weak, how did it manage to kill so many villagers?

The appearance of the corpse... the deadly farm tools... the angry face... the lingering image in the eyes of the deceased...

"No, that's not right!"

"It will affect a person's mental state! Please be careful, Your Majesty!"

Before Kal'tsit could finish speaking, the clown's strange laughter returned.

"We depicted the collision of lives... the fusion of bodies... a more beautiful appearance..."

A creature roughly stitched together from swollen human limbs and several clown faces crawled out of a pile of flesh, its overall appearance resembling a scorpion.

This monster has four legs sewn with clown faces, two claws made of clown heads, and a tail spike-shaped organ bitten by the clown face.

Another monster crawled out of another pile of meat.

They let out eerie laughter, one running towards the daylight that was turned away from them, and the other rushing towards Kal'tsit.
