"What?" But Kuroko seemed somewhat dissatisfied with my explanation.
"Alright, you little rascal." I gently patted her head.
"By the way, does Mikoto have another performance to do later? It's on the violin, right?" I asked.
"It's just a very ordinary program, don't have too high expectations," Mikoto said modestly.
"How could that be? My Mikoto is so talented, it must sound amazing, right?"
"It's really nothing." The more I said that, the more embarrassed Mikoto felt.
An unusual violin solo will take about fifteen minutes... well, with those cute junior girls who are infatuated with "Onee-sama," it should add another fifteen minutes. And then there's Kuroko... thirty minutes.
In other words, I had one hour of free time during that period.
It's a bit unfair to say that to Mikoto.
At that moment, in a corner where there was hardly anyone around, Fukiyori and Himegami Akisa were pulling and tugging at each other.
“We’ve finally come to a place like this, Akisa, don’t just sit here and not move! To enjoy the sights, you have to walk around, right?” Fukiyori said, while pulling hard on Himegami Akisa’s arm, trying to get her to move.
"Absolutely not!" But this place, teeming with young ladies, put immense pressure on Himegami Akisa. She felt like an ugly eel that had inadvertently swum into a vast expanse of tropical coral. All she wanted was to find a place to hide.
That's why it appears in places like this.
"Don't worry about me, Fukiyori-kun. Just leave me here alone," Himegami Akisa said.
Damn it, I almost forgot that Akisa-chan is such a shy girl. Fukiyori felt a bit helpless. She secretly cursed herself, and could only hope that she could find her way here on her own.
"Perhaps they're hiding somewhere and have multiplied. According to the information, that guy is a very shy and introverted child." I thought for a moment and made the correct judgment.
The first objective seems a bit difficult for now. So, the second objective... I looked around again, and hmm, it seems the second objective is hiding as well.
Maika Tsuchimikado could be seen sitting on a spinning machine tank. However, Motoharu Tsuchimikado was lying in wait, perhaps preparing to strike first, then retaliate.
Time marched on, and a school band of four female students bowed to the audience before Mikoto said she had to go backstage to prepare. Then she left.
Great, one less obstacle.
I nodded silently, then looked at the slightly disgruntled Kuroko beside me and tried to come up with an excuse to leave her side: "I'm going to the bathroom."
"Let's go together," Hei Zi replied.
……
Well, I should have expected it to turn out this way.
I rolled my eyes, then jumped away from Kuroko in a dimensional leap.
To be honest, Tsuchimikado Maika isn't really that appealing. She's not particularly cute, has short hair, and even gives off a boyish vibe.
I'm not gay.
I shrugged, watching Mai-ka chat with her companion. I thought to myself: this is just a little scare of Tsuchimikado Motoharu. Hopefully, it'll force him to cede territory and pay reparations. As for actually winning her over, forget it. After all, Tsuchimikado Motoharu is a formidable figure; it's not worth making an enemy of him over such a trivial matter.
Anyway, I figured I should go and strike up a conversation. With that thought, I walked towards Wu Xia.
"Damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it! This scumbag actually dared to lay a hand on a girl several years younger than him! God, although I am not your believer, I now fervently beg you to strike this scumbag dead with lightning!" Tsuchimikado Motoharu, who was hiding in the bushes nearby, ready to do anything at any moment, watched me walk step by step toward his adopted sister. He muttered these words to himself.
But then, I suddenly stopped—or rather, froze on the spot. My eyes were fixed on another direction. I ignored Wu Xia and ran off. This surprised Tsuchimikado Motoharu quite a bit.
"...What on earth is this guy up to?" Tsuchimikado Touichi muttered to himself, convinced the crisis was over. He emerged from the bushes.
"Brother?!" But at that moment, an even greater crisis descended upon him: "I didn't quite believe what the blue-haired man with the earring said before, but I didn't expect you to actually come here..."
Tsuchimikado Motoharu turned around, drenched in sweat, only to see his adopted sister facing him with a bright smile despite her face full of black lines.
"Um, Maika, let me explain!" Tsuchimikado Motoharu was covered in sweat.
"Enough talk! You bastard, you actually abandoned the dinner I made and insisted on coming here to freeload! It's so shameful! Is my cooking that bad? How could my cooking be so bad?! I'm never cooking for you again! You'll have to figure out how to cook for yourself from now on!!"
After Mai Xia finished speaking, she burst into tears, attracting a large crowd. Tsuchimikado Motoharu vaguely saw countless malicious glances. The pressure was unprecedented.
Chapter Thirty-Five: Unexpected Gains
Her short, silvery-white hair was particularly striking in the moonlight. Her snow-white skin was as translucent as jade. Her slender limbs and delicate features, along with the maid outfit she wore, seemed tailor-made for her, making her a pleasing sight to behold. Her meticulous movements and slightly cold expression added to her air of nonchalance.
What a perfect maid! The only flaw is that her breasts are a little small. But nobody's perfect; isn't the Creator fair?
I couldn't help but feel this way. Then I left the others behind and walked straight towards her.
Compared to this guy, Mai Xia was like an unripe fruit, completely overshadowed by his brilliance. At this point, revenge against Tsuchimikado Motoharu was completely forgotten (although in fact Tsuchimikado Motoharu had already learned his lesson, and Kamijou had also been beaten up).
He wanted to have her.
This has little to do with male lust. It's simply a heartfelt liking, like a very beautiful antique vase or an exceptionally valuable piece of calligraphy or painting by a famous artist—it's a possessive desire from the heart.
I want her.
So I walked over, snapped my fingers, set up a spell to "dispel idlers," and then asked, "May I know your name?"
She turned around, picked up a bottle of low-alcohol wine from the table next to her, poured me a glass, and everything seemed as perfect as described in the maid academy's manual.
She handed me the wine glass and then said in a flat voice, "Izayoi Sakuya."
"It's a very nice name." I nodded in approval.
"You flatter me," she said, her voice unusually flat.
"Then, there's one more question." I took a small sip of the wine in my glass: "Can I become your master?"
She shook her head: "I don't know."
"Alright." A pleasant smile appeared on my lips. "Then let me put it another way: do you want me to become your master?"
She kept her head down and did not answer.
I took her behavior as a tacit agreement. Then I nodded and said, "Wait for me at the entrance of Tokiwadai after today's festival." After saying that, I released the spell without waiting for her reply and turned to leave.
Although I didn't see it with my own eyes, I could feel that she tiptoed, pulled on the hem of her skirt, and bowed to me.
“Izayoi Sakuya… what a nice name,” I murmured to myself. Just then, deafening cheers erupted from the stage, indicating that Mikoto’s performance had been a great success.
So, there are 45 minutes left.
I chuckled and took out my phone, contacting the blue-haired man with earrings who was waiting outside: "Step two can begin."
The blue-haired earring replied: "Received—just asking one last time, Boss, are we really going to use that thing up? I think it's such a waste."
"Am I the boss or are you the boss? Just follow my orders." I rolled my eyes.
"Think about it, vampires are as rare as Sumatran tigers these days. Even in Jerusalem, we only have seven. Every research department is scrambling to get them, Boss."
"Stop talking nonsense! Listen to my orders, or I'll sell you to Thailand!" I said urgently, directly threatening the blue-haired man with the earring.
"Yes! Mission accomplished!" The blue-haired man with the earring seemed to spring into action, quickly jumping off the truck, opening the back container, carrying out a sack, and then nimbly disappearing into Tokiwadai Academy.
“Very well, a vampire slayer, is that it? The smell of her blood is as tempting to vampires as drugs are to addicts. And the effect is deadly; just a little bit will kill you—that’s how it should be.”
However, this guy, I mean the one with the blue hair and earrings carrying on his shoulder, has been slightly modified so that he can continue his previous activities for two to three hours after death—enough time to drain a girl dry.
Of course, with me here, such a thing will never happen—before that, I will kill that guy.
After all this fuss, I should be able to salvage some of the goodwill I lost from the mistakes I made before, right? After a little pleading, Qiusha will most likely forgive me.
Hmm, that's a perfect battle plan.
As I was thinking this—I immediately realized a problem—I still don't know Qiusha's location. What if I'm a step too slow and that damned vampire kills her?
Damn it!
With a quick thought, Gu cursed under his breath and then took off running. Himegami Akisa was an ordinary person, and Gu couldn't sense her presence. But fantasy creatures like "vampires" mostly possessed some magical power—although it was somewhat rare—after all, he was a prisoner before—but he could still sense it to some extent.
As I sensed that it was some kind of vampire's magic, I ran wildly in that direction.
Then, in a secluded corner, I found them. A little girl with bat-like wings, wearing pajamas, was clinging to Himegami Akisa. Fukiyori lay beside them, her fate unknown.
The little girl, whose true form was supposed to be a vampire, didn't seem to notice my knife coming—or rather, she had already died after drinking the blood of the vampire killer.
They still look like children. I slowly walked to their side, then sighed softly and stretched out my hand. Holy, and even more deadly to vampires, heavenly flames that would turn them to ashes upon contact were wrapped around my palm.
The problem was solved with just a little touch.
Just then, a sudden change occurred! Time and space within a radius of several tens of square meters froze in an instant. I was also greatly affected; I could still perform actions at a normal human level, but I was completely unable to use any abilities beyond this level.
Damn it, what's going on?! My heart skipped a beat, and then I drew the Heaven-Slaying Sword, which I hadn't used in a long time. With a "snap," I cut in half the dozen or so scalpel-like objects that had been thrown at me.
"Why can you still move?!" At that moment, a slightly surprised voice came from opposite me. That voice, if I remember correctly…
"Izayoi, Sakuya?" I asked uncertainly.
"This is our second meeting." The maid who called herself Izayoi Sakuya slowly emerged from the shadows opposite me, lifted the hem of her skirt, and bowed to me again. This time, I vaguely saw a ring of scalpels strapped to the base of her thigh.
"I didn't expect this. I hadn't sensed any magical fluctuations from you before. I thought you were just an ordinary person." I rubbed my nose. Then, under Sakuya's gaze, I bent down and pulled the vampire girl off Qiusha's neck. I tapped her forehead, knocking her unconscious.
During this process, I was slightly surprised. This little girl, she didn't die?!
Qiu Sha seemed to be confused due to excessive blood loss. After I helped her up, she opened her eyes, looked at me, squinted, and seemed to recognize me. She opened her mouth but couldn't say anything. Then she fainted.
Sakuya Izayoi had been watching my movements, and seeing that I had no intention of killing the vampire girl, she didn't launch any attack. Then, Sakuya spoke again: "If possible, please return the young lady to me."
"The young lady you're talking about... is she the little child lying on the ground?" Gu asked.
Sakuya didn't reply, but nodded in agreement.
"That won't do. Because this guy hurt someone close to me, and I don't have a very good temper—I'm quite petty. So... hehehe."
"Is that so?" Sakuya asked casually, her expression clearly showing disbelief.
Just how much does this guy know? A flash of murderous intent crossed his eyes, but his face remained a bright smile.
Sakuya Izayoi shook her head: "This humble woman only wishes to bring back my young lady. I have no other desire to be involved, much less to have any conflict with you, so—"
"I do not accept threats." I interrupted her directly: "Besides, you said you don't want to have a conflict with me?" I lowered my eyes and glanced at the scalpel broken in two on the ground.
Izayoi remained silent for a moment, simply watching me quietly.
"Alright, alright, I give up." Gu chuckled, then said, "It's not impossible to discuss it a little."
"Please speak." Sakuya nodded.
"I can let this guy go." I pointed the Heaven-Slaying Sword at the little girl lying on the ground: "But in return, I want you to work for me."
Sakuya Izayoi's expression darkened: "Does Your Excellency intend to make things difficult for me?"
I chuckled lightly: "You misspoke, lovely maid. I've actually shown you a way out."
