George looked at everyone mysteriously, "If you were a professor, and a freshman who had just arrived at the school asked you for advice about life problems and—well, relationship problems—what would you do? You wouldn't ignore them, would you?"

"Of course not—but how many questions can a student possibly have?"

"If one isn't enough, then bring in more."

"You, a first-year Gryffindor girl."

"You, from Slytherin."

"Why?"

"There's no reason why, but every college needs one."

"One Hufflepuff and one Ravenclaw?"

"Hmm, one of those shy, outgoing but insecure types who's popular with multiple students—imitate their tone as closely as possible, and if they don't understand something, read more books."

Fred assigned everyone a status indicating they needed help.

"What books are you going to read? Borrow them from those girls? Or go to the library?"

"Why look for those things? Just go straight to Professor Lockhart's books; he'll definitely like the parts he describes in his own books!"

In the dimly lit classroom, hands were stacked together, and a scam targeting the professor gradually took shape.

Chapter Ninety-Three: Therefore, Professor Lockhart established the society.

On Wednesday morning, when William opened his eyes, he already knew that the weather was really not good that day.

The windows that used to let in perfect sunlight are now gloomy; judging by the sky, a downpour is definitely coming today.

'Ugh, this weather.'

Although he knew September was a rainy season, it didn't stop William from complaining about the bad weather—the stuffy feeling before the rain always reminded him of that awful place, Azkaban.

"Want to sleep a little longer? Or go have breakfast?"

The two choices went back and forth in his mind, and he couldn't make a decision until he fell asleep again.

When William woke up again, the air was no longer so stuffy, but rather damp—the rain had finally started to fall.

I hate rain.

Thinking this to himself, he lazily got dressed—William had no classes on Wednesday, and Bart would be happy to help with breakfast.

'Let's find a place to test out some magic—I've mastered quite a few spells, but I might not be able to cast them well while moving around.'

The rainy weather made William abandon his previous plans to read. In his agitated state, he didn't think he could concentrate on reading much—he had already mastered most of the basic magic, and researching new spells was no longer as easy as before.

'The practice room was prepared long ago, but I didn't expect that not only would the students not go in, but I would also be the first to use it.'

The school provides professors with excellent workplaces, and they can even get help from the school when they need herbs, magical creatures, or magical ingredients that are not particularly rare—the bulk of Hogwarts' budget is spent on this.

While he was thinking about these things, Bart had already brought over breakfast.

"I'm sorry, Professor, the kitchen was too busy, so it took a long time. Professor Lockhart suddenly needed a lot of candy, and we were all working hard to get it done."

"It's alright, Bart, I got up too late, I'm just glad there's anything to eat—but do you know how to make candy?"

William thanked him, but still asked a question out of curiosity.

"Of course, Professor. We all know a little about food-related things. Professor Lockhart brought a lot of wrapping paper and ingredients after breakfast so we could make a batch of candy for the students."

"Why would Professor Lockhart want candy out of the blue?"

"You still don't know, Professor?"

Bart asked in a surprised tone, then quickly replied, "Professor Lockhart started this morning—I'm not saying anything bad about the professor, this is what he's dedicated to telling everyone—in fact, in the morning, Professor Lockhart began to tell most of the paintings that he had received more than a dozen letters of inquiry about the future from admirers on campus, and told everyone that he would use his life wisdom and adventurous experience to solve the doubts of those admirers."

"In fact, Professor, if you look at the school's bulletin board, you'll find that Professor Lockhart has set up a 'Lockhart Helps You Solve Your Problems' club—he's ready to welcome all his students who like him for advice on life and academics."

!!!

William suddenly panicked—while he was painstakingly adjusting his relationships with the other students, Professor Lockhart had already started acting as his confidante!

"A dozen letters from admirers on campus—I still don't have a single student who approves of me based on whether they like or dislike me!"

William sighed, and the bread on his plate suddenly tasted bland—admiration and writing letters were two different things. For example, Adams greatly admired Professor Lockhart, but William thought Adams was unlikely to write to Professor Lockhart.

Especially the consultation letters—letters from students who are confused about their future and have to ask a reliable senior for advice on their future direction—signify those students' absolute approval of Professor Lockhart.

No wonder Professor Lockhart was so excited to open a club to help students solve their problems. There are only so many letters so far, but there are countless potential students who want to consult him!

William looked on with envy as he reached into the basket and began to rummage through it—Bart usually placed the fruit at the bottom when delivering breakfast.

But this time he found small pieces of candy, something he hadn't seen before.

"Professor, the kitchen is full of freshly made candies. I thought you might like them, so I brought a few with me."

These candies, made by fairies, are wrapped in shimmering wrappers. Above the wrapper, Professor Lockhart's signature smile is displayed—"Professor Lockhart is more than just a professor in the classroom." This line is magically fixed below the portrait.

……

彳亍口巴.

William tore open the packaging and found the candy to be surprisingly good—almost as good as Honeydukes.

So, is Professor Lockhart planning to do the same for all club merchandise?

William couldn't help but sigh when he thought about how he still had to find time to study magic on his own, while Professor Lockhart had found a new space to showcase his abilities outside of class. Even though Professor Lockhart wasn't good at teaching, he was still wildly popular among students. Wasn't that because of Professor Lockhart's superb skills?

Then look at Professor Dumbledore. Because he is the first white wizard, even though he doesn't work at the school regularly, Professor McGonagall is still the vice-principal.

So, William, you need to work harder!

William ate the last bite of bread, encouraging himself in this way.

Under Bart's pleading gaze, William used a spell to clean up the trash on the table and put the book he had read yesterday back in its place.

"Um, Bart, if you could, could you get me a stack of parchment and put it on my desk? I've been going through them too quickly lately."

"Yes, Professor!"

Bart answered energetically before William left.

-

"Professor Lockhart's Problem-Solving Club welcomes faculty and students to join. Every evening from 8:00 to 9:30, Professor Lockhart's office welcomes anyone who is facing difficulties in life or studies. Professor Lockhart will always support those who support him!"

As William rounded a corner, a knight solemnly announced to him—William finally understood why Bart knew so clearly what had happened.

“Yes, I understand, Sir Knight. Professor Lockhart is going to establish a club. So, what kind of compensation has Professor Lockhart paid?”

"No reward is required. Professor Lockhart is a third-class Sergeant of the Order of Merlin, and any knight should help such a great man."

The knight in the portrait spoke solemnly.

William suddenly realized that what he had eaten that morning wasn't candy—it tasted more like a lemon…

Chapter Ninety-Four: An Unexpected Attempt at Dark Magic

'This classroom should be fine—'

William compared the two practice rooms assigned to him and finally made his choice.

Compared to the other classrooms, these two classrooms were extra reinforced by magic, and were filled with ample protective equipment—mats, thick blankets, and even protective goggles commonly used in greenhouses.

William rummaged through the cabinet under the podium, where there were herbs like white cinnamon for stopping bleeding, as well as bottles containing potions.

'Hmm, this is for bone health, this is for stopping nausea, this is for treating unconsciousness—why aren't there any labels?'

While complaining about his former professor's unreliability, William used magic to mark the bottles before closing the cabinet door.

Although he was there to experiment with magic, this classroom wasn't a private practice space assigned to him. Students would need it for future classes, so he had to check the facilities first.

"The medicine is fine, it's not expired. The mat needs to be aired out—that'll have to trouble the house-poms, but there's no rush, since I don't have any practical lessons planned for now."

After confirming that all measures were in place, William used magic to bring a dummy to himself—this was to test the power of the spell.

-

"Hey, do you guys think anyone would actually go to Lockhart's club?"

In the school corridor, Ron, who had just finished studying for a morning, asked his two friends.

"Probably—yes?"

Harry was somewhat uncertain and answered hesitantly.

"Besides theatrical performances, he's come up with something new—could those letters be letters he wrote to himself?"

"Impossible, Ron—"

Harry, unusually, refuted Ron's opinion, saying, "I spent the whole night replying to letters from all over the country."

“Yeah—all over the country, maybe even my mom contributed one,” Ron replied irritably. “But I don’t think it was a yelling letter.”

Harry knew during the summer that Mrs. Weasley was a fan of Lockhart, and he wanted to laugh, but he held back when he thought of that howling letter.

"By the way, Hermione, what about you? You're not going to join that club, are you?"

Ron asked curiously, and was met with silence.

"You want to participate?"

His voice involuntarily rose a little.

Then the three of them suddenly saw the classroom door next to the road open.

When their gazes fell upon him, the three of them involuntarily took a half-step back—although they had all seen the person before, for some reason, he gave off an aura that kept strangers at bay.

The person who came saw them, glanced at them in surprise, then nodded slightly, locked the classroom door, and walked away into the distance without looking back.

It wasn't until the person had walked quite a distance that the three of them breathed a sigh of relief, looked at each other, and realized that they were all in the same boat before they came to their senses.

"Was that Professor William just now?"

Although he was a regular at the restaurant, and Hagrid had even introduced him to Ron, Ron still couldn't help but ask questions.

"Yes, that's right, it's him."

Hermione nodded heavily. This professor was the second worst Hogwarts professor she had ever met—he seemed like a completely different person today for some reason.
