From Azkaban to Hogwarts.

Percy put away the wand and placed it quietly close to his body.
His task was very important. When the trolls grabbed the younger students, he needed to use magic to help the trolls, making them feel pain and throw the students out. He also had to help the children adjust their flight angles so that they could fly in a more beautiful arc.
This was an assignment given by the two professors.
It serves as both a lesson in resilience and a reminder for future students.
Children above the third grade are not allowed to form teams. Although there are many traps set up along the way, there is no doubt that some of them will make it to the end. At that time, Percy will not intervene to help them fly out safely. There are three pots of potion outside. With protective spells, even if they break a few bones by hitting the wall, it will be a minor injury.
After all, the assessment of injuries is completely different in the magical world.
The injury of losing an arm or even a leg is not as bad as a blow from a dangerous magical creature to your arm—the former can be treated at the school hospital in a day or two, while the latter may never fully heal.
"Second grade, group one, begin!"
Professor William's voice rang out through the thick walls, and Percy knew it was time to get to work.
He released the spell binding the large wooden club, dragged it to the side of the lying giant, and then sat comfortably in a chair—which was also under the illusion spell; there were even snacks and water on the small table next to them.
'Shouldn't they release the magical creatures by now? What a shame... I couldn't even properly participate in the last exam before leaving school...'
While pondering this question, he casually dragged the giant away, thus weakening the power of his Stunning Spell.
The professor said that we need to keep those big guys awake at the slightest touch, otherwise the assessment will be useless.
"How many second-year students can make it through?"
-
The students outside were also curious about this question, and the answer came out quickly.
The second-year students who came out in the first team weren't sent out by the seventh graders at all; they were thrown out by the hair of Cornish elves.
They sang merrily, grabbed the students' clothes from their shoulders and swung them around (with bubbles on their heads), and finally threw the students out like trash, even wiggling their butts and dancing in the air.
However, after William glared at them, the little ones ran back as fast as they could, screaming in fear.
"Professor William, what are you doing?"
Lupin became curious—these Cornish specialties had even kidnapped adult wizards, committed all sorts of evil deeds, and were notorious. Normal wizards would never mess with these wicked creatures.
"This... I originally intended to use it to train the reaction skills of sixth-grade students, but these guys tried to attack me instead."
This was one of William's few mistakes this semester—last year's farce was so infamous that he immediately set his sights on this thing that second-year students described as a disaster.
However, it was clearly not appropriate to directly slap Professor Lockhart in the face last year. Even if he were a nice guy, let alone someone who loves to show off like a peacock, you couldn't just bully him like that.
Seeing that Lupin's classroom training was going well this year, he got some Pokémon to let the older students practice. But when he opened the cage, the Pokémon's quick reactions startled him.
So, with a snap of his fingers, he subdued these guys who were trying to cause trouble in his office, locked them in cages and set them aside—then, busy preparing exam papers, he forgot about them, and they went hungry for almost three days before the spell wore off on its own…
The consequence of this was that the little elves really remembered him…
After a brief explanation, William began calling out the second group.
Two Gryffindor girls, one of whom had fiery red hair and was clearly from the Weasley family.
Apply protection, designate the track, and say, "Go!"
-
"Why are we Cornish elves right from the start?"
Ginny heard her companions complaining, but she was too weak to reply—her brightly colored hair had attracted more attacks, and the little elves were eager to capture her.
After resting for a while, she was able to catch her breath.
"Let's go, we've only just scored twenty points, grip your wands tight."
She encouraged her teammates and led the way forward—the group of little elves had just ignited her fighting spirit.
'You need to improve yourself; you can't always focus on others...'
Hermione's pointed words still echoed in her ears from time to time. That day, the two of them shared a lot of Easter eggs and talked about strange things for a long time.
'Win the game first!'
She tried to convince herself, gripping her glowing wand tightly in her hand.
"The road is blocked!"
After a quick inspection, she called out to her friends behind her and began trying to use magic to move the large and small stones blocking the way.
"I'll help too..." The girl behind hurried forward to help carry it, but the next moment, a dark figure jumped out from under the moved stone...
-
"The efficiency is too slow..."
Looking at the two little girls being carried out by the levitation spell, William said to Lupin, "The time it took for the first-year students to form a team of three is a bit beyond our expectations... After the second-year tests, the fifth-year students probably won't have time... They still have homework this afternoon!"
???
After working together for nearly a year, Lupin suddenly realized why Professor William was so friendly to his colleagues and sociable to his work leaders, yet he could be intimidating to his students.
So, moving fifth grade to the morning is just so they can go back and do their homework in the afternoon?
"Send in the rotating teaching assistants as well, open another track, and use the first-year students to transform it."
"That's all we can do. Let's give them some more internship pay. Anyway, judging from the performance of the first-year students, not many students will be able to get bonuses."
William nodded, turned and left to call out to the students in the reserves—Professor McGonagall had generously approved a lot of funding this time, so he had brought over all the high-achieving students to be teaching assistants.
"Come on, come on,"
William took the lead into the first-year track and then began modifying the stone wall.
“Hold this side. I’m preparing to cast an anti-morph spell here—we’re running out of Cornish elves, so this area has been converted into a landslide. If they can get over it, that’s a victory…”
The difficulty level of the puzzles just needs to be about the same – consider it as a practice test (A or B).
He and Lupin had discussed it for a long time and had a lot of backup plans in case of any unexpected events—such as what if the sprite ran away?
"Let's move on to the next level."
There were plenty of backup plans, and one student after another was assigned to the program, thus creating a new track.
"Send out another troll, Percy!"
William nodded to Percy, who was hiding over there. Then, Percy waved his wand, and another sleeping troll that had been blocked behind the rock was released.
William tapped it with his wand, and it scurried to its feet, quite grumpy—until it saw William.
"there…"
Regardless of whether the troll understood or not, William pointed to the other side with his finger, and then pointed back at the troll.
The newly emerged mountain behemoth nodded frantically, looked at William's finger, trotted to the spot William indicated, lay down, and then raised its fist to punch itself in the head.
"Boom~"
With a soft sound, then a thud, the giant lay there.
"Professor...you speak trolls?"
The new student who had joined Percy asked curiously—the magical world had always made jokes about the intelligence of trolls, and there were quite a few jokes about troll language.
"How could I possibly have time to learn that?"
William spread his hands. “It just understood the gestures—alright, you two keep a close eye on them and don’t let the students wake them both up at once. They’re a bit far apart right now—it’s best to make sure the students are coming before you release them.”
"Yes, Professor."
The two responded in unison, and William nodded before returning to prepare to continue administering the exam.
"The troll can understand hand gestures, right?"
"It should be possible... right?"
Percy wasn't sure either—communicating with a troll was hardly a wise idea.
"Then knocking yourself out..."
"It can't be the Imperius Curse...maybe..."
Percy couldn't explain it either.
Good heavens—does this giant think that passing out would be better than being in this state?
-
"It seems the morning's experiment had some negative effects..."
When William returned to his seat as an invigilator, he looked at the student list and spoke to Lupin.
"What strange things happened in previous tests—what was going on?"
Whether a troll is harmful or not is not something that can be determined by mere words. Before the formal assessment, he and William tested the effects of magical damage, the specific degree of unconsciousness, and the difficulty of obtaining a perfect score. They even re-verified these tests this morning before the assessment began.
As a professor, I am definitely responsible for my students, and it is not unreasonable to be more cautious about safety issues.
Therefore, Lupin was very concerned about the negative impact.
"The troll knocked himself unconscious—did we do too many of our morning unconsciousness testing experiments?"
They had to make sure that the student in charge of the trolls could knock them unconscious as soon as possible, so that the trolls wouldn't develop any resistance to repeated sleeping spells.
"It does seem like a lot—they're going to faint quite a few times today...we'll talk later!"
"Wow!"
As Lupin spoke rapidly, gasps of surprise arose from the crowd.
A young wizard was blasted out of the skylight at a speed far exceeding that of the previous students, reaching a height almost comparable to that of many people flying on broomsticks.
Lupin flicked his wand, and the soaring child began to glide through the air, but his speed gradually decreased until he finally landed gently.
"His arm is broken."
William made a quick judgment, then jogged over and casually tapped the potion cauldron in the distance with his wand. A small ball of potion flew out and landed in the cup he had made from a leaf in his left hand.
"Drink."
He handed the potion over with his left hand while tapping the unfortunate child's arm with his wand in his right. The student, who had been howling in pain, blinked, instinctively took the potion, and then drank it all in one gulp.
The potion, combined with magic, made the pain disappear quickly—just as the most authoritative St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Injuries classifies it as a minor injury.
"You got hit head-on by the stick, didn't you? Next time, remember to remove the opponent's weapon as soon as possible."
