Every practitioner needs to undergo Foundation Building to lay a solid foundation for their future cultivation path. After 100 days of Foundation Building, as the sacred embryo begins to grow, it is essential to cultivate spiritual energy. When the flow of Qi encounters strong resistance and the body's energy is insufficient to clear away the lesions, the flow of Qi will automatically change its route. When another route is strongly blocked again, it will change its route again, and so on, continuously cycling. On the one hand, it clears away all the small lesions (Qi stagnation points) that are large enough to be cleared away, and on the other hand, it exposes the lesions that cannot be cleared away temporarily due to insufficient energy. This process is the process of finding the disease.
"Master, there are some things I don't understand."
Zhao Fangxu scratched his head and then said.
"Tell me, what don't you understand?"
Chen Yuan said.
This kid seems to have made good progress in his cultivation. After all, the fact that he doesn't understand something means that he has already started to think about it.
"Why does the Qi in the body scatter when the mind cannot be calmed?"
Zhao Fangxu asked curiously.
"You've hit the nail on the head. All methods and all practitioners' cultivation are inseparable from meditation. To enter meditation, one must first open the energy channels. But how can the energy channels be opened? Only when the six senses are purified, not chasing after the six sense objects, not scattered or drowsy, and with firm right mindfulness, can the body's vital energy be continuously vigorous and abundant. When the mind is still for a long time, the vital energy accumulates step by step. After reaching a certain amount, the energy channels will be automatically opened by the abundant vital energy."
There are many strange and unusual cultivation methods in the world that teach people to directly cultivate their Qi channels and circulate their Qi. These methods should never be learned, as they can easily lead to qi deviation and demonic possession.
There is only one true way to open the energy channels: calm the mind, without seeking, confusion, or impatience, and wait patiently. When essence, energy, and spirit are abundant, the energy channels will naturally open, and the state of samadhi will naturally be entered; it cannot be forced in the slightest. No matter what method is used in the world, if it involves cultivation without a calm mind, it is a heretical practice.
Chen Yuan said slowly.
His years of cultivation weren't for nothing; he naturally knew the secrets of it.
"I see."
Zhao Fangxu nodded.
It seems that one cannot be too hasty in the path of cultivation; one needs to concentrate and calm one's mind. Haste makes waste.
"Young man, if there's anything you still don't understand, remember to ask me again next time. Your master has to go out again."
As Chen Yuan spoke, he took out some snacks from his food pouch.
These were naturally purchased on his way here.
"Thank you, Master!"
Upon seeing the pile of snacks, the chubby Zhao Fangxu immediately beamed with joy.
"Don't be so polite. You did a good job, kid. I'll give you something even better next time."
Chen Yuan grinned.
"Master, I have only broken through one-third of the 365 major acupoints! I don't know how long it will take before I can completely establish my foundation."
Zhao Fangxu was somewhat depressed.
According to his master, the human body has 365 major acupoints, corresponding to the Earth's revolution around the sun once. The Earth's revolution around the sun takes 365 days. In the I Ching, 9 is the largest number, and it represents returning to the origin. Therefore, each acupoint should be filled with 9 breaths of true qi. A day has twelve two-hour periods, each period is eight quarters of an hour, and each quarter of an hour is fifteen minutes, meaning each fifteen minutes constitutes one acupoint.
When a person meditates, with their six senses clear and their mind neither scattered nor drowsy, they can generate a breath of true energy every quarter of an hour. When this true energy is generated, one part ascends along the Du meridian to Baihui (GV20) and then descends to the Yinjiao acupoint on the upper palate, where it transforms into "golden fluid"; the other part ascends along the Ren meridian to the Chengjiang acupoint on the lower palate, where it transforms into "jade fluid." The "golden fluid" and "jade fluid" mix in the mouth to form saliva (commonly known as saliva). Saliva is clear and sweet, commonly called "nectar," as evidenced by the poem by Lü Dongbin: "White clouds rise to the top, nectar sprinkles Mount Sumeru."
"Don't be impatient, kid. Cultivation is about calming the mind, and it takes time and patience."
Chen Yuan waved his hand.
Of course, he was much faster than the chubby boy back then.
the other side.
"This Feng Hou Qi Men is simply too amazing."
Zhou Sheng touched his chin.
The more he practiced Feng Hou Qi Men, the more he felt that this method was beyond his imagination.
Aside from the inability to fix the central palace in the primordial spirit, this method is almost flawless.
Why is it said that if one's spirit is fixed in a certain state, not only is one's life ruined, but one may never be able to recover?
The answer is related to the saying, "A person's spirit is inclined to tranquility, but their mind is disturbed by it."
This quote comes from the "Qingjing Jing" (Classic of Purity and Tranquility), which is one of the essential classics for Taoist disciples.
The "spirit" in the phrase "夫人神好清" refers to the "original spirit" (元神). In Taoist thought, the human spirit is divided into the original spirit and the conscious spirit (识神). The original spirit is without knowledge or awareness, neither born nor dying, and governs the creation of a person's body and mind. The conscious spirit, on the other hand, is the source of the seven emotions, six desires, and thoughts.
The human spirit naturally desires tranquility, but the conscious mind is restless and often disturbs it, preventing it from achieving peace. At such times, by cultivating the mind and rationally controlling one's conscious mind, the spirit can regain its tranquility.
To achieve "to calm one's mind by relinquishing desires, and to purify one's mind by clearing one's spirit," and ultimately to reach a state of "no mind," "no form," "no thing," and "only emptiness," is considered enlightenment. This is the meaning behind the term "Wukong" (悟空, meaning "the Monkey King"). In "Journey to the West," Sun Wukong often uses the metaphor of a mind-monkey, which is actually an allusion to the process of cultivating the mind.
"My Feng Hou Qi Men governs the changes in the world; it is a pattern that encompasses all changes in heaven and earth. In other words, it is the ultimate of movement, containing all phenomena. If this thing is put into the 'pure' primordial spirit, the primordial spirit will never be pure in this lifetime. How can one cultivate the mind then? Even worse, if the primordial spirit is damaged by the influence of the Qi pattern, it is equivalent to the soul being damaged. The primordial spirit is the foundation of cultivation. The physical body may be abandoned, but if the primordial spirit is damaged, it is very likely that one will never be able to recover."
Fortunately, I pulled back from the brink, otherwise the consequences would have been unimaginable.
Zhou Sheng patted his chest, still shaken.
However, his current situation is still not much better.
The main reason is that although Hu Tu and Leng Laoguai have temporarily given up on capturing him, the others have not.
Moreover, Chen Yuan wasn't around.
Although he wasn't afraid of those people, a large group of people would be troublesome.
"We can't go back to the sect either. I wonder how my senior brothers and junior brothers are doing?"
Zhou Sheng was extremely depressed.
He really misses his junior brothers and senior brothers, as well as his master and uncle.
"Master Zhou Sheng, we've finally found you!"
Just then, a familiar voice suddenly rang out, and a squinty-eyed young man appeared before Zhou Sheng; it was none other than Zhuge Yunlan.
"Zhuge Yunlan!"
Zhou Sheng was also taken aback when he saw Zhuge Yunlan.
Good guy.
What is this guy doing here?
"Master Zhou, I've heard that you've acquired a powerful and unorthodox technique. I'm quite curious about it, so I've come to ask you for guidance!"
Zhuge Yunlan said calmly.
He was also very curious about Feng Hou Qi Men.
However, unlike Hu Tu and Leng Laoguai who wanted to steal Zhou Sheng's Feng Hou Qi Men, he just wanted to see it for himself.
Let's see which is stronger or weaker compared to the Wuhou Qimen of their Wuhou family.
"Zhuge Yunlan, do you really want to see my skills?"
Upon hearing Zhuge Yunlan's words, Zhou Sheng also curled his lip.
He was afraid that the boy's Dao heart would be shattered.
After all, Feng Hou Qi Men is far more powerful than Wu Hou Qi Men.
"Master Zhou, I am merely here to observe and learn."
Zhuge Yunlan said calmly.
He had mastered the Samadhi Fire, so he was completely unafraid.
"Since that's the case, then I'll play along with you."
Zhou Sheng smiled slightly.
He is not afraid of Wuhou Qimen at all.
The Zhuge family's Wuhou Qimen seeks the optimal solution within the established rules of heaven and earth, while Feng Hou Qimen rewrites the rules of heaven and earth within its own framework.
The former is a top-level divination technique that aligns with the natural order, while the latter represents the pinnacle of the Eight Extraordinary Techniques and the Qimen system.
“Master Zhou, then I will not stand on ceremony.”
Blue flames appeared in Zhuge Yunlan's eyes, a sign that the Qimen Manifestation Technique was being activated.
Wuhou Qimen was created by Zhuge Liang and belongs to the traditional Qimen Dunjia school, not the Eight Extraordinary Techniques.
It adopts the traditional 18 formations of Qimen Dunjia (Yang Nine Formation and Yin Nine Formation), and follows the inherent rules of the four plates of Heaven, Earth, Man, and God, solar terms, time of day, and the generation and restraint of the five elements.
The core concept is to follow the natural order and act in accordance with the times. The sorcerer utilizes the inherent auspicious and inauspicious directions of heaven and earth to wage war.
Before the emergence of Feng Hou Qi Men, it could be said to be the number one Qi Men of the time.
Swish!
Suddenly, a huge magical array appeared beneath Zhuge Yunlan's feet, instantly enveloping Zhou Sheng's body.
"Hehe, Brother Zhuge, your skills in Qimen Dunjia have improved quite a bit."
Zhou Sheng said with a smile.
But he was not afraid at all. Feng Hou Qi Men can be said to be the ultimate form of Qi Men Dun Jia, which has broken out of the traditional Qi Men framework.
The so-called transformation of the heavens and earth transforms me into king; I am the direction, I am good fortune and misfortune.
His Feng Hou Qi Men is completely unbound by time, season, or inherent patterns.
"call!"
Zhuge Yunlan also sensed the changes in Zhou Sheng.
Their Wuhou family's Wuhou Qimen uses itself as the central palace, but the four plates are fixed and cannot be moved randomly.
Good and bad fortune, the restraint of the five elements, and the attributes of the eight gates are all predetermined by heaven and earth.
To cast a specific spell, one must move to the corresponding location.
If the enemy is in the Kan position, you need to seize a favorable position to use water attacks; if you stand in the wrong position, the power of your spells will be greatly reduced.
You can only seize auspicious positions and avoid inauspicious ones; you cannot change the auspicious or inauspicious attributes of the doors themselves.
It can be likened to a chessboard with fixed rules; you can only choose advantageous placement points and cannot change the rules of the chessboard.
"Separation Word - Crimson Serpent!"
Zhuge Yunlan was the first to launch an attack.
Whoops!
Crimson flames erupted and swept towards Zhou Sheng's body.
Seeing this, Zhou Sheng calmly and instantly fixed the Qimen technique on his heart.
