Elf: Start with small diamonds, then mutate into Diancie!

Pokémon: Staryu

Attribute: [Water]

Gender: [Neutral]

Characteristic: [Luminous]

Level: [18]

Items: [None]

Moves: [Tackle, Harden, Water Gun, High-Speed Spin, High-Speed Star, Bubble Beam]

It's still a beginner-level Pokémon. Staryu, as a Water-type Pokémon, might be strong against Litten, but the outcome is already clear due to the overwhelming strength of the opponent.

Fang Wenbin had Staryu use the Water Gun move to block Hot Cat's Flame Jet move.

The result was obvious: the jet of flame directly vaporized the water gun and bombarded the starfish.

The fog generated by the collision of water and fire obstructed the vision of both sides.

After the fog dissipated, the Fiery Cat, which had used Su Haobo's power to guide its attack, had already defeated Staryu with Shadow Claw.

The glowing core on the starfish's chest had long since extinguished after it lost its ability to fight.

[The match is over. The winner is Su Hao from Class 1, Grade 12!]

"oh--!"

"666!"

"Clap clap clap clap!"

The students in the audience spontaneously applauded.

Su Hao waved to the audience and left the battlefield.

Chapter 29 Top Eight

In the quarterfinals after advancing to the round of 16, Su Hao once again only sent out Yanre Miao, who easily defeated his opponent.

The list of the top eight was released at 2 PM.

They are: Su Hao, Li Hua, Wen Hao, Jiang Chengcheng, Kong Lingwei, Qi Shu, Xie Hongbo, and Wang Jin.

Of the eight people, Su Hao, Li Hua, and Jiang Chengcheng are students in Class 1 of Senior Three.

Wen Hao is a student in Class 2, whose main force consists of ordinary-level Wartortle and Pinsir.

Kong Lingwei and Qi Shu are both students in Class 5. Kong Lingwei demonstrated her superpower in the quarterfinals, assisting her ordinary-level Natural Bird in launching an elite-level attack to defeat He Xu's Green Vine Snake from Class 1.

Qi Shu used a regular-level cool leopard and a beginner-level sea lion.

Xie Hongbo and Wang Jin, as students of Class 8 and Class 10 respectively, also have one Normal-level Pokémon and one Beginner-level Pokémon.

The list has been finalized via computer allocation.

Su Hao faced off against Wen Hao, Li Hua against Wang Jin, and Jiang Chengcheng against Qi Shu.

First up was Li Hua from Class 1. Li Hua's Cottonbird had advanced to the Normal level in the morning. Facing the strong attacks of Li Hua's mid-Normal level Blue Raven and early-Normal level Cottonbird, Wang Jin from Class 10 was quickly defeated.

Jiang Chengcheng faced off against Qi Shu's cool leopard, which proved to be quite formidable. After defeating the little sea lion, the mischievous panda was outmaneuvered and defeated by the cool leopard.

Faced with the powerful arm strength of the cool panther and its ghostly speed, there was nothing that could be done for the time being, and they could only remain in a stalemate.

With his injuries mounting, Machamp finally erupted in desperation, and the Light of Evolution broke the stalemate. The evolved Machamp used Double Strike during a gap in the Jaguar's attack to send Jaguar flying.

With its highly effective counter moves combined with the long-accumulated rage from Machoke's attacks, the fragile Panther was rendered unable to fight.

------------

In the stands, people were discussing who would win the match.

Some people think Wen Hao will win, since both of Su Hao's Pokémon are weak against his Squirtle, and it's rare for someone of the same level to win a battle against a type that is against their own.

Some people think Su Hao can win. Su Hao only used one Pokémon, the common-level Litten, to reach the quarterfinals. The strength of his starter Pokémon, Diamondback, is still unknown.

At the awards ceremony, Su Xu, who was sitting with the leaders of Yangcheng High School, was asked by the principal next to him, "Master Su, are you confident that your son will win?"

With his eyes closed and arms crossed, Su Xu replied, "He'll be able to defeat elite-level Pokémon before school starts."

"How could this be..." Those around were extremely surprised upon hearing this explosive news.

[Now it's time for Su Hao from Class 1 of Senior 3 to face Wen Hao from Class 2 of Senior 3]

[Use two Pokémon, which can be freely switched. Win by rendering both of your opponent's Pokémon unable to battle.]

Now, both sides, please release your Pokémon simultaneously!

"Go, little diamond!"

"Go, Dajia!"

Holy crap!

A commotion arose in the audience, and Wen Hao, who was standing on the field, unconsciously broke out in a few drops of cold sweat on his forehead.

On the field, Little Diamond, who was facing off against Big Jia, exuded an aura of domineering power that spoke volumes about the harsh reality!

Elite level!

Su Hao's starter Pokémon advanced to the Elite level in just one and a half months of winter vacation!

Facing the small diamonds that were a level above his own, even Da Jia was a little intimidated.

Each tier represents a significant leap in a Pokémon's strength, and defeating a higher-tier Pokémon with a lower-tier Pokémon is practically impossible for Wen Hao and his students.

Faced with an elite-level small diamond, Wen Hao didn't know how to defeat her.

However, the die was cast and the arrow had to be released. If he gave up before even fighting, what kind of trainer would he be in the future?

"Dajia, go all out with your 'Big Rampage' move!"

The giant armored carapace (also known as Kairos) has a brown body and two large horns on its head covered with small spikes. Its teeth are arranged in two rows, resembling toothbrushes, making it quite ferocious.

"Cough, cough, cough!"

With its charging stance intact, the big armored carapace aimed its two large horns, which were wrapped in white light, at the small diamond and charged straight up!

The high-speed charging armor transformed into a white light, slicing through the air and crashing into the small diamond.

"Magic Flash!"

Dazzling colored light emanates from the diamonds on the small diamond, then forms a colorful shield around it.

Faced with the oncoming armor, Little Diamond refused to back down and collided with it.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The shockwaves generated by the clash between the two sides swept across the entire arena.

With each collision, the armor's output decreases significantly until it can no longer withstand the pressure from the small diamonds.

"Boom!!!"

The armored vehicle, blasted to the ground by the small drill bits, lost its ability to fight.

"A very excellent Dajia," Su Hao commented.

This armored creature is truly remarkable for being able to collide with small diamonds so many times despite being of ordinary quality.

After retrieving his large shell, Wen Hao released his second Pokémon—Warturtle.

Squirtle is a turtle Pokémon with a light indigo blue body and a pair of fluffy, wing-like ears on its oval head.

Its eyes are brown, and tiny fangs are visible in its mouth. It has small, dark blue oval markings on its cheeks. Its forelimbs have three sharp claws, and its tail is furry.

Pokémon: Wartortle

Attribute: [Water]

Gender: [♀]

Feature: [Torrent]

Level: [25]

Prop: [Mysterious Water Drop]

Moves: [Water Gun, Retract into Shell, High Speed Spin, Water Pulse, Protect, Water Jet, Dragon Pulse]

"Warturion, Water Jet!" Wen Hao no longer thought he could win, but... he at least needed to inflict effective damage on Little Diamond.

While water jets, as a preemptive move, may not always guarantee an initial attack in reality, they are still extremely fast.

Wartortle unleashed a torrent of water and charged headlong into Diamond Smash with unstoppable force.

"The power of the moon!"

"Hey—!"

A pink energy sphere formed atop the small diamond head. Contrary to its soft color, the aura emanating from the sphere was extremely destructive and powerful.

After gathering the power of the moon, Little Diamond used it to lock onto Wartortle.

Faced with the incoming lunar power, Wartortle tried its best to dodge.

However, no matter where it tried to escape using the speed provided by the water jets, the power of the moon clung to it like a persistent, intractable disease.

Finally, after the small diamond added energy to the Moon Power, the Moon Power, which accelerated again, caught up with Wartortle.

"Boom—"

The power of the moon struck the shell of the tortoise directly, and the exploding power of the moon turned into pink smoke that spread out.

As the smoke cleared, the battered and bruised Wartortle stood barely on the field.

"Kamikami!"

The turtle's brown eyes looked at Wen Hao with determination; it didn't want to admit defeat so easily.

Wen Hao wiped his eyes, nodded to Wartortle, and said, "Okay, let's do it again!"

"Water Ripple!"
