“I remember that in my past life, you were accompanied by Tadashi and Namino. How come you’ve changed?” Izumi said calmly.
"In this world, Hinata is my little sister. Having a little sister is quite nice. As for Namino, she has other things to do," Mashiro explained with a light laugh. "Oh, really? I thought you were trying something new. Having a tsundere red-haired loli and a straightforward blonde princess by your side is certainly novel." Izumi
He said with a smile.
“Perhaps that’s one reason,” Mashiro said after a moment’s thought.
Leading Izumi into the room, Makoto whispered, "When I was in your shadow, I sensed that something was wrong with your body."
“There are indeed some problems. This body weakens from time to time, and my control over the chakra within it is extremely weak,” Izumi said. Mashiro frowned slightly. Weakness was a minor issue; after all, this body was growing and developing in a nutrient solution. Eating nutritious food would help.
A time estimate is sufficient.
As for the issue of chakra control, if it's really as Mashiro imagines, then it will be troublesome.
According to Izumi's account, Mashiro has fully understood why Izumi was there; just as Izumi herself thought, it was because their souls...
They were bound together, because Mashiro came here, and her soul followed her here as well.
However, Quan didn't know anything about the system, and with the system's involvement, everything could be explained.
She and Izumi died one after the other. Her soul was guided to this world by the system, and Izumi's soul followed. However, because the system did not prepare a body for Izumi, and Izumi's body in this world was already dead, Izumi's soul has been sleeping ever since.
It wasn't until Orochimaru used the cells of this spring to create a clone that Izumi's soul had a place to merge. This is why, of all Orochimaru's experimental subjects, only Izumi survived; the other subjects did not have souls.
But the experimental subject was, after all, just an experimental subject; it couldn't perfectly resonate with Izumi's soul, which was why Izumi couldn't control the chakra within her body. "I'll solve the problem," Mashiro said softly.
"It doesn't matter. I'm already happy to be alive. Besides, with you here, I won't be in any danger," Quan said gently.
"You should rest for a while." Mashiro turned to leave. "Stay with me." Izumi gently patted the bed.
"There's really no other way." Mashiro went to sleep next to Izumi.
The body was still very weak, and Quan quickly fell asleep.
Looking at Izumi's sleeping face, Mashiro murmured, "It seems we need to speed things up regarding Itachi's matter." (Author's Note)

Chapter 80: Mashiro's Vacation (Part 1)
At dinner time, Temari came to inform Mashiro and Izumi in their room. Afraid of seeing something strange, Temari knocked gently on the door. There was no response.
The door wasn't locked. He gently turned the doorknob, opened a crack, and poked his head inside.
Mashiro and Izumi were sleeping in bed. Mashiro gently put her arm around Izumi's shoulder, while Izumi leaned on Mashiro's arm. After hesitating for a moment, Temari pulled her head back and then gently closed the door.
Upon entering the living room, everyone was already seated at the dining table. "Where are Master and Izumi?" Tayuya asked.
"They're both asleep," Shouhan said helplessly. "Asleep?!"
“They’re probably tired,” Hand explained.
Tayuya and Hinata both blushed. Looking at their expressions, Temari knew that they had misunderstood. No, Tayuya was one thing, but why would Hinata have misunderstood?
Handan couldn't help but give her a deep look, but Hinata was looking down and didn't notice his gaze. "What should we do? Shall we eat first?" Hanabi asked.
She didn't eat at the Hyuga clan's restaurant today because Tayuya told her that her older sister had invited her to eat together. "Let's eat first. After all, we went out of our way to buy this, and it would be a waste if no one ate it," Temari said.
Shiro and Yukito remained silent throughout the entire process. If Tayuya hadn't told them it was Mashiro's intention, they wouldn't have even come to the living room.
After dinner, Yugito went straight upstairs. Bai Wen said a few words and left. Hinata and Hanabi also returned to their rooms, leaving only Tehan and Tayuya to clean up the mess.
The next day, early in the morning.
Mashiro gently opened her eyes. She felt a slight numbness in her arms and shoulders. Looking to her side, she saw Izumi sleeping peacefully. "Stop pretending to be asleep, get up," Mashiro said helplessly, patting Izumi's head.
Izumi opened her eyes, jumped up and hugged Mashiro, saying, "You feel so soft and comfortable."
“I don’t think this is a good thing. Because of this body, I’m basically cut off from physical skills.” Mashiro picked up Izumi, put her aside, got up from the bed, and said.
"It seems you were also completely incapable of physical combat in your past life," Quan said with a stretch and a smile.
What Izumi said is true. As one of the three heroes of the Uchiha clan, Uchiha Zero was an absolute genius in ninjutsu, genjutsu, and the development of the Sharingan. However, he could never master taijutsu no matter what he did.
"Get up and eat breakfast. Temari and Tayuya should have already prepared the food. After breakfast, I'll take you to see Tsunade so she can check your body and see if there's anything wrong," Mashiro said softly, gently combing Izumi's hair.
When they arrived in the living room, Shouhan and Duoyu had indeed prepared breakfast, but neither of them were in the living room; they must have gone back to their rooms to catch up on sleep.
She sat down, looking at the breakfast in front of her: fried egg Q, bread, milk, broccoli, sashimi, and an apple. "It's such a familiar setup," Izumi said, picking up an apple, taking a bite, and remarking.
Mashiro didn't say anything, silently picking the broccoli off her plate and transferring them one by one to Izumi's plate, until only one broccoli was left on her own plate.
Izumi smiled gently, then took the broccoli that Mashiro had picked up and put them back one by one. If Temari saw this, she would probably be moved to tears.
"Hmph..." Mashiro let out a soft sigh, then picked up a broccoli and put it in her mouth. "It tastes really strange," Mashiro said with a troubled expression.
“I admit that too.” Quan also picked up a piece of broccoli and put it in his mouth, his expression turning strange.
At this moment, Yugito and Shiro came downstairs together. Upon seeing Mashiro and Izumi in the living room, Yugito nodded slightly in acknowledgment, while Shiro respectfully greeted them before they left the villa one after the other.
"When are you planning to make your move on them?" Izumi asked curiously, biting into an apple. "I don't know either, we'll see," Mashiro replied, continuing to eat her broccoli. "You seem to have changed a lot; you should have succeeded by now," Izumi said with a smile. "What kind of image do you guys have of me?" Mashiro said somewhat helplessly.
"You'd be better off asking Sister Hong about that. Speaking of Sister Hong, haven't you won her over yet?" Quan asked back while eating his fried egg.
“Perhaps because I’ve been reborn, or perhaps because of some other influence, I want to be gentler this time,” Mashiro said with a light laugh. “Really?” Izumi looked at Mashiro with wide, questioning eyes, even her beauty mark seemed to speak of disbelief.
"Of course it's fake. I just haven't had the time. Once I do, I'll take them all down, whether it's Yugito or Haku, Kurenai or Ino, Tsunade or Shizune, Sakura or Karin." Mashiro said expressionlessly as she ate the last broccoli.
After hearing Mashiro's words, Izumi's expression returned to calm, and she said gently, "Indeed, this should be your personality." Mashiro remained noncommittal and took a bite of her apple.
In a private room at Konoha Hospital, Izumi was lying on the hospital bed.
Tsunade, who had been forcibly summoned by Mashiro, was frowning as she examined Izumi.
When Tsunade was first brought over by Mashiro, the moment she saw Izumi, she could tell that Izumi didn't have any major problems. With that in mind...
Tsunade began to examine Izumi, and as the examination deepened, her expression gradually became serious.
"How is it? Is there a problem?" Mashiro asked softly after Tsunade finished her examination.
Tsunade rested her chin on one hand, seemingly pondering what Su was looking at. After a moment, she said, "Her body is very strange. She is very healthy but extremely malnourished, and the cells in her body seem to be completely undeveloped. Yet, there is an incredibly strange chakra in her eyes."
But what puzzled me even more was her soul. Her soul didn't seem to fit her body. This was somewhat similar to the forbidden technique Orochimaru had learned before, and it was somewhat like the Soul Transformation Technique of the Severed. In short, there was a gap between her soul and her body.
"Is it incurable?" Mashiro asked. If Tsunade couldn't cure it, she could only pin her hopes on scientific experiments.
“I really have no way, but the sage should have a solution. I can send her to Shikkotsu Forest for treatment,” Tsunade said, showing great interest in the phenomena surrounding Izumi.
Tsunade's words reminded Mashiro that she had almost forgotten about the three old men from the three sacred lands. It seemed she would have to find time to visit Ryuchi Cave.
Yi Liao, however, was still somewhat uneasy about whether Orochimaru was truly dead.
"If it can be cured, I have no objections. I hope you can help me, Lady Tsunade," Izumi said gently.
Izumi had no objections, and Mashiro naturally had no objections either. Tsunade then pulled Izumi along and performed a reverse summoning jutsu.
Mashiro sat on the hospital bed, pondering how to deal with Itachi's situation. Two hours later, the smoke cleared, and Tsunade appeared alone in the same spot.
"How is it?" Mashiro leaned back on the hospital bed and asked.
"The sage said the treatment will take a month, and Izumi asked me to bring you a piece of paper," Tsunade said, handing a white sheet of paper to Mashiro. Mashiro opened it, glanced at it briefly, and then looked up at the ceiling.
"You'll be back in a month. In the meantime, ask for leave and take some time to do what needs to be done." Ugh, really.
"Tsunade, I need to take some time off. Please don't contact me about any official business beforehand." Mashiro said, standing up.
"How many days?" Tsunade was reluctant to ask, since Mashiro taking leave meant that Tsunade needed to handle her official duties while also taking care of the "Root" matter.
"See? It shouldn't be too long," Mashiro said. "I'll give you a week," Tsunade said.
Mashiro thought for a moment, then smiled and said, "That's enough."

Chapter 81: Mashiro's Vacation (Part Two)
After returning from the hospital, Mashiro went back to the Hinata family home first, gave them instructions for the next seven days, and then handed everything over to Hinata Kensuke.
Immediately afterwards, Mashiro arrived at Root's headquarters and dumped all of Root's affairs on Hayakawa Yukikaze. Then, looking at the nervous and teary-eyed Hayakawa Yukikaze, she told her she only had one week. By the time everything was dealt with, it was too late.
When Mashiro returned home after a leisurely stroll, it was already dinnertime. She ate dinner with Temari and Tayuya. This time, the two of them were smarter and didn't even bother to clean up the dishes after dinner, instead running straight back to their rooms.
However, Mashiro wasn't worried. At night, Tayuya blushed and knocked on Mashiro's door. Then, in the early hours of the morning, she quietly walked back to her own room, leaning against the wall.
Looking out at the pitch-black sky, a truly white holiday is about to begin. The first hurdle of the holiday.
Mashiro lay asleep in bed, and despite Tehan's attempts to wake her several times, she showed no sign of getting up. Finally, at ten o'clock in the morning, Mashiro finally got out of bed.
Entering the bathroom, looking at herself in the mirror, Mashiro muttered to herself, "Just laziness, huh? Who should I choose today?"
After washing up, I went to the living room. Breakfast was on the table, but Shouhan and Duoyou were nowhere to be seen. I wondered if they were sleeping in their rooms or had gone out to play.
Since Izumi wasn't there, Mashiro put all the broccoli on Tehan's plate. While she was eating an apple, Yugito came downstairs; she seemed to get up very late every day.
Yugito saw Mashiro and, as usual, nodded in acknowledgment before turning to leave. "Yugito, come and comb my hair," Mashiro suddenly said.
Yugito actually wanted to refuse, but when she turned her head and saw the faint smile on Mashiro's lips, she remembered that she was actually Mashiro's prisoner and that Mashiro had planted a strange curse mark on her. The peaceful life she had been living these past few days had almost made Yugito forget this fact.
So Yugito walked quietly behind Mashiro, picked up the comb Mashiro handed him, and began to gently comb Mashiro's hair. "Her hair is so beautiful," Yugito thought to himself as he stroked Mashiro's hair.
Mashiro quietly ate her breakfast, making soft chewing noises, while Yugito gently combed Mashiro's hair, the smooth strands of hair touching the wooden comb and making a slight "sizzling" sound.
"Is Yugito going out for breakfast?" Mashiro asked softly after finishing her breakfast. "I'm planning to go for a walk," Yugito replied softly as she tied Mashiro's hair up.
Yugito had been wandering around Konoha Village these past few days, experiencing its customs and traditions while also recording its layout. "Then let's go together," Mashiro said with a smile. "I know some fun places."
Yugito glanced at Mashiro and saw her gaze. She knew she couldn't refuse. "Really? Thank you then."
Mashiro brought Yugito to Ichiraku Ramen.
"This is a rather unique place. Many ninjas like to come here to eat ramen, including my teacher, the Third Hokage," Mashiro explained.
Looking at the unremarkable little shop in front of him, Yugito couldn't help but become curious, so he ordered a bowl of Ichiraku Ramen.
The chewy noodles, infused with broth, filled her mouth upon first bite. "It's really delicious," Yugito murmured.
Mashiro smiled but didn't say anything, quietly watching Yugito eat ramen.
Seemingly a little embarrassed by Mashiro's gaze, Yugito asked, "Aren't you going to eat?"
"You forgot, I just ate breakfast. Even if you want to share your noodles with me, I don't mind." Saying this, Mashiro opened her mouth. "Ah~"
Yugito hesitated for a moment, then rolled up some ramen noodles and put them into Mashiro's mouth.
"It really is delicious." Mashiro's tongue touched the chopsticks, causing Yugito to frown slightly and her face to flush a little. After finishing the ramen, Mashiro led Yugito to the Valley of the End.
