He couldn't understand why such a small thing as embezzling a tiny fraction of a billion would result in this outcome.

The air was thick with the stench of blood and dust, and every heart in the square pounded for this moment. Those who had once bowed and scraped before the nobles now seemed so fanatical in the face of his death.

So, even nobles can die like stray dogs.

It seems that something is sprouting in the hearts of the people. Although it is not much, it has begun to take shape and will eventually grow into a towering tree.

……

Fafnir, her face smeared with blood, searched for her teacher in confusion. She looked around but couldn't find the little mage. She walked towards the village, where she saw two knights who had taught her martial arts talking in a language she didn't understand (Ancient Greek).

“I knew it was Xerides who devised this plan the moment I heard it; it’s so typical of him,” Hector said, extending his palm as he chatted with Achilles.

At this moment, a pattern resembling a hollow is etched on the palm of his hand.

"Was this how you planned it back then?" Achilles also saw the hollow pattern on his palm. He could imagine the determination these close friends had when they plotted to kill Zeus.

They may have been crammed into cramped spaces, and the harsh environment could not diminish their resolve. In the darkest of times, they encouraged each other: "Our great cause will surely succeed!"

There are twelve designs in total, and everyone gets one.

"How wonderful! I will be both a witness and a participant in this great undertaking," Achilles thought.

“What a crazy plan, just like how I felt when I heard he was going to offer his head…” Hector continued to talk to Achilles about the rune in his hand, while recounting old stories.

"What is this plan called?" Achilles asked.

"Zero Requiem." Hector smiled.

"A mad plan no less ambitious than killing Zeus! No Greek could resist such a story, and not only in this world, but thousands of years from now, our great deeds will still be praised by many more generations..."

"I'm so hyped..."

At that moment, Fafnir called out to them.

"Where is the Sage Master, you two knights?" she asked the two, one big and one small.

"Hey, wait a minute, we'll talk later." Hector turned his head with great interest and saw the little girl.

These heroes, originating from Greece, can understand the local language. Perhaps the language module of the Great Sage has a special function, and these beings, similar to the summoned creatures of Schrödinger's Law, can also inherit some of its functions.

“Xue… Joshua, I saw him leave earlier, probably went to the toilet,” Hector said casually.

However, at that moment, everyone was astonished to see once again a giant finger descending from the sky above the capital, and then, a sound seemed to resonate in everyone's hearts.

"On the third day, famine will be afflicted!"

A booming voice rang in everyone's ears, and at that moment, the refugees who had just escaped from the capital felt an indescribable fear.

The sound of this scene was like the whispers of demons from hell; each time, it would leave a trail of corpses.

Many people knelt on the ground and began to pray in the direction of the capital.

What frightened others even more was that a large halo of light was faintly emerging in the capital.

The overwhelming pressure, like a god descending to earth, instilled an irresistible sense of worship in everyone who looked directly at the great halo, as if it could directly influence your mind and control your soul.

"Time is running out, both for you and me." The little mage who suddenly appeared out of nowhere startled Fafnir.

She looked at her teacher, who had now turned into a little boy, and pouted in dissatisfaction.

I searched for ages but couldn't find a single person. How did they suddenly appear out of nowhere? Were they hiding underground?

"We still have one day. After tomorrow, we will launch the final battle against the Demon King," Xue Luding said directly, seemingly oblivious to Fafnir's dissatisfaction.

This made her serious, and she stopped being temperamental, asking, "Teacher, how much longer do we have?"

"A little over a day," the young mage stated directly, giving a specific time.

"Come with me, I'll take you somewhere for practical combat training." The little mage mounted her warhorse, and Fafnir also mounted the "grape" that had been following her.

Then, the two arrived at a place deep in the forest, far from their base, where a mutated wild boar was imprisoned by magic.

The little mage released the restraints, and the demonized boar instantly went berserk. Its weight was like that of an out-of-control jeep, and it was covered in blood and looked furious.

"That's your enemy, Fafnir! Don't run! Charge at the boar!"

Chapter 93 Reflections from the Three Rivers

I've finally made it to the Sanjiang list! It wasn't easy. This is my first time on the Sanjiang list. First of all, I want to thank all the readers who have followed my work, given me tips, voted for me, and encouraged me. I am extremely grateful!

This book has had a bumpy road since its inception. It was only when I reached 9 words in the initial phase that I started to test the waters. At that time, I only had a couple hundred favorites. I am grateful to the readers who have been following along. Without those initial readers, I would not have been able to make such rapid progress after the initial test. My reading volume has been like a rocket, surpassing my competitors and finally reaching the top of the list.

Thank you again to all my godfathers for your support!

In this book, I only want to write a good story of a righteous hero. This is my favorite protagonist among all my books, a protagonist who integrates all the good qualities I think are good. I dare say that this is someone who would be strangled by the "Boundary of Light" even if he were put into a tokusatsu drama.

A childhood fire, the hero who rescued me from the blaze, and I grew up to become the person I once aspired to be—that's the story I want to tell.

Finally, my new book period was so tough, really. It took me 20 days to get 300 favorites. I know how hard it is, and I don't want anyone else to suffer like me.

Therefore, I'm offering some books by fellow group members as a sacrifice, along with some recommendations. Hopefully, this will at least offer some support. Here is the list of books to be sacrificed:

Chapter 94, Day Four: Death is Granted!

The wild boar's eyes burned like crimson flames, and its massive body resembled a mobile armored jeep, with each step it took seemingly causing the earth to tremble.

The behemoth, weighing several tons, began its charge. The beast had long been corrupted by the evil god and felt no pain or fear whatsoever. In ancient Greece, this thing would be comparable to the Calydon Boar, at least a near-legendary creature.

Even more so because of its prolonged confinement, its anger was unleashed, and the behemoth, like a runaway jeep, began to accelerate rapidly.

Fafnir stood in the forest, the broken holy sword in her hand began to gleam, and the north wind suddenly rose again, blowing fallen leaves that drifted to the girl's ears.

"Facing the impact and fear head-on is the first lesson in real combat! Don't run away!" the little mage continued from the side.

She gripped the holy sword tightly, and in the blink of an eye, the wild boar charged to within 20 meters of her!

The girl's lips moved slightly, and amidst the bloody winds stirred up by the monsters, her chanting was swift and precise.

Her beloved holy sword shone brightly, and she swung it fiercely.

"Horizontal guillotine!"

The Holy Sword's Sky-Piercing Slash unleashed a massive crescent-shaped blade of light, and the raging demonic boar's entire head slammed straight into the horizontal blade. Instantly, its tusks shattered, and the horizontal decapitation blade cleaved the boar's skull, but remained firmly wedged into it.

The wild boar let out a heart-wrenching howl. The grass and trees around it trembled with its rage, branches and leaves snapped as it ran, leaving a messy trail. Dust swirled on the ground, mixed with the smell of blood and dirt.

The wild boar's head was covered in blood; the guillotine had severed most of its skull, but it was still not dead. A faint warmth emanated from the wound, its ferocity fully unleashed, as it launched a final counterattack before dying.

At this moment, Fafnir seemed to panic. The boar pounced, and she raised her holy sword, mimicking the swordsmanship Hercules had taught her, as if preparing to block the boar and roll away.

"Buzz!"

The rapidly spinning light wheel was thrown from the side, and like a chainsaw, it easily severed the wild boar's head, causing blood to gush out like a fountain, spraying several meters away.

The wild boar charged forward for another dozen meters or so before the headless carcass finally collapsed...

Fafnir stared blankly at the headless corpse, then touched the blood on her face.

The little mage came to her side, picked up his staff, and tapped her head three times with a "bang bang bang".

"Ouch, what are you doing?" Fafnir touched her forehead and took a step back.

“I told you, demons don’t feel fear, terror, or pain, so what you need to do is not just attack once, but attack relentlessly, like a storm, without stopping, until it is completely reduced to ashes!” The little mage’s tone was very serious, and he raised his staff as if to hit her on the head again.

"Don't knock, don't knock! I know!" Fafnir covered her head and kept backing away, hiding behind a tree.

She touched her head, her mouth twitching in pain; it was covered in bumps.

She actually wanted to complain that the wild boar's screams were so heart-wrenching that it didn't seem like it didn't feel pain!

But seeing that the teacher seemed angry, she stopped making kissing noises.

"When you encounter evil spirits in the future, you must kill them completely, dismember them, and burn them in the most brutal way possible, without giving them any chance to fight back. Do you understand?"
