I hope I can continue to improve in the future and bring everyone a better reading experience.

Now that it's finished, I still want to seriously discuss a few problems with this book.

1. First is the system.

As the number of characters increased, I focused most of my attention on character interactions.

Rather than continuing to post tasks and distribute rewards, I'd rather write about how Ding Heng treats different girls, and what happens between them after they get together.

As I wrote more and more characters, I gradually distanced myself from the system.

I did consider adding more of the system's role halfway through, but each time I forcibly inserted it into the characters' storylines, I felt it was awkward, so I simply kept weakening it.

Looking back now, this approach was certainly not clever.

The system was originally the core setting at the beginning, and it should have a more complete function later on.

Ultimately, it comes down to my lack of writing skills and overall planning.

I will seriously reflect on this issue, and I will pay more attention to the continuity of the core settings in future works.

2. Now let's talk about the characters.

The point of contention lies between Baima and Wenshu.

Pema's problem is relatively simple.

Her character is basically established, but she has relatively few independent storylines of her own, and her character design is less acceptable than I expected.

The focus is still on Wen Shu.

Wen Shu is the female lead who is completely different from the original plan.

Initially, she was mainly responsible for extending Wenjing's family storyline.

As the writing progressed, his role in the story grew larger and larger.

The reason is actually not that complicated.

To put it realistically, it's all about writing more words! On the other hand, it's also because I personally prefer the sisterly aspect.

The feedback on Wen Shu's storyline is also quite polarized.

Some people enjoy this unspoken sense of transgression, while others have been less accepting of her from the moment she had the idea.

I have seen everyone's opinions.

Looking back now, the problem wasn't just with the attributes themselves, but more with my lack of maturity in controlling the length and pace of the narrative.

If a similar character appears in my next work, I will definitely pay more attention to the integrity of the character.

3. According to the original plan, there will be a complete volume about Yan hope's story later.

The original plot was that Zhao Yanxi's father died in the line of duty, and before his death, he hoped that his daughter could have a normal and stable life.

Yan hope left Ding Heng and went to a remote small county to become an ordinary primary school teacher.

She tried to live alone, striving to convince herself that the past was over and that she could become a normal woman again.

Ding Heng will then use the system's tasks to find the stray cat and bring it back.

Don't worry, this isn't a traditional "wife-chasing-after-the-cremation" scenario; Ding Heng won't beg her to come back.

To put it simply, it's like a kitten that's been raised by its owner for a short time, running outside to try and find a new life.

The kitten thought that by changing its location and identity, it could suppress all its dependence on and habit of its owner.

But when her owner actually stands in front of her again, just one look is enough to loosen the kitten's hard-won new life, and her suppressed desires and obedience will surge forth in double measure.

She will turn back into that familiar little cat, even more clingy than before she left, and understand where she truly belongs.

(The explanation is rather subtle; those who understand will know what I mean...)

However, after careful consideration, I decided to cut this entire volume off.

First, the system has weakened too much in the later stages, so it is not appropriate to suddenly rely on system tasks to complete a whole volume at this point.

Secondly, Zhao Yanxi's father's profession and his sacrifice in the line of duty are both relatively serious matters.

Furthermore, placing the entire volume at the end can suddenly create a heavy atmosphere and make it seem overly sentimental.

After thinking it over, I think the current situation is more suitable.

Everyone was safe and sound, and the kitten, oblivious to everything, continued to stay by its owner's side.

Less drama might actually be a good thing for the character.

Although the main story has ended, there should be a few more side stories to follow.

The daily life not covered in the main text, and the plot points that everyone is always urging for updates.

If there's anything you'd particularly like to see, feel free to leave a comment, and I'll choose the appropriate ones to write about.

As for the new book, I'm still torn between two directions.

I can either continue writing about similar themes that I'm familiar with, or I can challenge myself a bit and try different stories and structures.

However, one thing is basically certain—the new book will still feature multiple female protagonists.

If preparations go smoothly, we should be able to meet everyone around the end of August or the beginning of September.

I hope everyone will continue to support and like it then.

Finally, thank you again to all the readers who subscribed, voted, commented, donated, and waited for daily updates.

This is my best-performing book to date, and it's also the book that allowed me to see many of my own improvements and problems during the writing process.

There were achievements, but also regrets.

Fortunately, the story finally came to a successful end.

Thank you everyone for your continued support.

See you in the new book!

Side Story 1: Moon Sook's Future

End of June.

After a heavy rain, the muggy weather in the capital was slightly relieved.

The moment Wen Shu opened her eyes, she felt a splitting headache. After a long period of blankness, she realized that she was not in her rented room.

She had changed into pajamas, and there was a half-full glass of warm water and two hangover pills next to the bed.

Fragments of memories from last night slowly surfaced.

After the graduation ceremony, she, Jiang Nian, Tian Yinzheng, Xia Xiao and others went to find a place to have a farewell dinner.

Wen Shu hadn't planned to drink much, but once everyone got into the mood, the drinks on the table just kept coming.

The bedroom door was gently pushed open, and Wenjing walked in carrying a bowl of white porridge.

Beneath the loose-fitting loungewear dress, her lower abdomen was slightly protruding.

"Xiao Shu, are you awake?"

Wen Shu was still a little dazed, but when she saw her older sister, who was heavily pregnant, serving her porridge, she instantly became much more alert.

"Sis, put it down right away!"

She quickly threw off the covers and got out of bed, reaching out to support Wenjing.

Wenjing put down her bowl of porridge: "Slow down, don't be impatient."

"Sis, you should slow down."

Wen Shu carefully helped Wen Jing sit on the edge of the bed: "You're pregnant, and you took care of a drunkard like me late last night. What if something happens to you?"

"The driver and the auntie were both there, so I went over to check on them."

Wenjing reached out and touched her younger sister's forehead to confirm that her temperature was normal.

When Wen Shu received Jiang Nian's call last night, she was already completely drunk and unconscious.

On the way home, I kept hugging her and calling her "sister," and occasionally muttering some incomprehensible nonsense.

Fortunately, the disturbance didn't last too long. After getting home, I drank a few sips of water and fell into a deep sleep.

"You threw up last night..."

Wenjing couldn't help but nag, "Don't become an alcoholic like your brother-in-law. Can your health compare to his? What if you get sick from drinking?"

"Occasionally..."

Wen Shu smiled guiltily and quickly massaged her sister's shoulders, saying, "Thank you for your hard work, sister."

"Come on."

Wenjing slapped her hand away, picked up the bowl of white porridge again, and handed it to her: "Eat something first."

Wen Shu obediently accepted the food and began to eat in silence.

The congee tasted bland, and she didn't have much of an appetite, but after a few mouthfuls, her stomach felt much better.

Where is my brother-in-law?

"I went to run errands with Sister Lin Man."

Wenjing gently stroked her lower abdomen: "He's been in a meeting in the capital these past two days. If you need to contact him, remember to get in touch first. Don't go looking for him without telling him."

Wen Shu said "Oh" and lowered her head to continue drinking her porridge.

It feels like I've gone back to my childhood, when my older sister would stay by my bedside to take care of me whenever I felt a little unwell.

But now that Wenjing is about to become a mother, she will no longer be the only one who needs to take care of others.

"How are the others doing lately?"

"Still the same."

When Wenjing mentioned her daughters, she looked helpless.

She was the first in the family to get pregnant, and Zhao Yanxi was so excited when she found out that she had already bought a lot of maternity and baby products.

Lin Man was in charge of the actual arrangements; the nutritionist and the future postpartum nanny had all been prepared in advance.
