“I won’t kill you,” he said. “You know, but Hattori Heiji doesn’t. If this information leaks out, I’ll deal with him first.”

This woman is currently untouchable; this is a crucial time for his promotion and transfer.

Chibo Jinghua's chest heaved violently as she stared intently at him, her eyes devoid of tears, filled only with hatred.

"I'm afraid you won't have that chance."

The door to the dojo was pulled open, and the night wind rushed in through the open door.

Hattori Heizo turned around and quietly looked at the person who had come.

Suddenly, he sighed: "I should have just gotten rid of you back then."

Vermouth's gaze was icy as she coldly asked, "Where is he?"

“As you know, he was too old. Even with that semi-finished medicine, it wouldn’t have worked. He passed away many years ago.” Hattori Heizo glanced back at Ikenami Shizuka. “I buried his ashes in the Hattori family cemetery.”

Ikeba Shizuka slowly closed her eyes, the wooden sword slipped from her hand, and she slowly clenched it into an extremely tight fist. Bright red blood seeped from the wound caused by the wooden sword slipping from her hand.

Kitagawa Taki couldn't help but worry about her condition. The real remains of Hattori Heizo could not be found, but the master of the person who killed him was buried in the Hattori family cemetery in a grand manner. What a disgrace!

Upon hearing the news, Vermouth felt relieved and let out a long sigh of relief.

Unlike Rum, Hattori Heizo showed no signs of being on high alert when facing the two men, remaining unusually calm: "I'm curious, how exactly did you discover me?"

At first, he thought that Shizuka Ikenami, Hattori Heizo's closest confidante, had discovered something amiss. It wasn't until Kitagawa Taki and Vermouth appeared that he instantly realized that everything that had happened today was probably the work of these two.

Kitagawa Taki extended his index finger and tapped his head: "Information gap, you wouldn't understand."

He had his doubts from the moment he heard that Hattori Heizo was going to be promoted to Vice Commissioner of the National Police Agency.

"Fine." Hattori Heizo didn't dwell on it. He raised his wooden sword, the blade pointing directly at Kitagawa Taki: "Let me experience Mr. Kitagawa's skills!"

Kitagawa Taki shook his head, and the next second, a sharp aura erupted from his body, locking onto Hattori Heizo.

Hattori Heizo suddenly opened his eyes, but his body was completely unable to move.

Kitagawa Taki is indeed no simple man, but unfortunately his methods came a step too late.

"One last question, how did you do that?" Kitagawa Taki looked at Hattori Heizo's face and suppressed some of his aura.

Hattori Heizo loosened his grip on the wooden sword. "He and I naturally look alike. With some minor adjustments, we can easily cover it up by using the excuse of investigating a criminal's injury."

Kitagawa Taki nodded, turned and walked towards Ikenami Shizuka by the wall, handing her a red and white capsule: "Mrs. Shizuka, here you go."

Ikenami Shizuka took the capsule and took a deep breath: "Kitagawa, help me up."

She felt completely drained of energy.

With Kitagawa Taki's help, Ikenami Shizuka came to Hattori Heizo's side.

Although she wished she could tear this person to pieces, she couldn't; this matter couldn't be exposed.

"APTX4869?"

Hattori Heizo took the capsule, his expression calm, not at all like someone about to die.

"There's something in the safe in the secret compartment of my study that you'll definitely be interested in."

Just as he was about to put the capsule in his mouth, he suddenly looked at Vermouth and said, "You can even replace me silently."

Vermouth coldly uttered a few words: "Not interested."

Hattori Heizo chuckled softly, put the capsule in his mouth, and his Adam's apple bobbed up and down as if he were swallowing a bullet that was eighteen years overdue.

He sat down cross-legged and quietly watched the three of them.

At first, he didn't react at all.

About half a minute later, his pupils suddenly contracted.

Then, his fingers began to tremble uncontrollably, followed by a sudden burst of pain from the depths of his bones, causing his body to arch forward violently.

He didn't scream, but his breathing became rapid, sweat poured out instantly, and then he began to convulse violently...

The whole process took less than a minute.

Looking at the corpse on the ground, Ikeba Shizuka could no longer hold back her tears.

……

Hattori family cemetery.

The two found Karasuma Renya's ashes, which were in a small, unnamed black urn.

"What should we do?"

"Burying him back in the Karasuma family's old house is the last thing I'll do for him."

"let's go!"

(This book is now officially finished.)

I stopped updating for over a year, and I thought this book might be abandoned forever. But seeing the comments from readers and remembering my previous promise, I came back and finally finished it.

Those first few days after resuming updates were incredibly nerve-wracking. I was afraid no one would read it, afraid of being criticized, afraid I wouldn't write well. But to my surprise, some familiar IDs were still there, and some new friends joined in. Thank you all, thank you to those who were still waiting, and thank you to everyone I met later. Thank you to everyone who clicked on this book and spent time on this story. Without you all, I might not have made it to the end.

The story ends here. As for the female characters whose fates haven't been fully explained yet, I'll write some side stories later!

The characters in the book will continue to live in their world, and I need to gather my thoughts and start writing another story.

My new book will be released soon. See you all in the martial arts world!
