Balor the Balrog was enraged.
"What we need are high-quality offerings, not this garbage you've sent up!"
He brandished his greatsword, pointing the blade at a serpent demon lord who was at the Saint level.
"You go!"
The Serpent Demon Lord took two steps back in fear and spoke:
"I have already offered up an angel; it shouldn't be me..."
Before the words had even finished, the giant sword in Balor's hand slammed down, shattering all the bones in the Saint-level serpent demon's body, leaving him sprawled on the ground, turning into a puddle of mud.
He casually grabbed the Serpent Demon Lord and threw it onto the flesh altar. The greedy maw swallowed the offering again, but it was still not satisfied.
His gaze swept over the many powerful demons present, and the Balor Flame Demon Greatsword once again pointed at a demon.
"Go up there!"
The seductive smile that had been on the lord's face froze.
With a strained glance at the numerous demons watching her, the succubus lord twisted her alluring figure, her thin veil offering no concealment of her captivating body.
She tried to seduce the other demons as usual, but in their gazes, the succubus lords felt only greed, lust, and tyranny, and not a single ounce of pity for her.
Extremely disappointed, the Desire Lord gritted his teeth and prepared to ascend the altar.
"Wait a moment!"
A crisp voice rang out from beside the succubus lord.
All the demons looked in the direction of the sound and saw a figure dressed in silver-white armor, with a captivating figure, stepping out from behind the lord of lust.
She was completely covered in silver-white armor, and even wore a silver-white helmet on her head.
She was described as a succubus, but she looked more like a death knight.
She first bowed to Balrog, then asked in a low voice:
"Your Excellency Flame Demon, may I take my mother's place?"
The Demon Lord glared at him and shouted:
"Are you crazy? Go back right now!"
Then the Succubus Lord respectfully addressed Balor the Balrog:
"Please forgive her rudeness, I will go up now."
Balrog ignored the Succubus Lord, merely glancing at her indifferently, and said coldly:
Give me a reason not to kill you.
The succubus, clad in silver armor, remained silent. A pair of black wings broke free of the armor's restraints and quietly appeared behind her.
The black wings paired with the silver-white armor give off a sense of holy decadence.
Balor's eyes lit up.
"A fallen angel? Or a fallen angel of succubus-demon hybrid blood? A worthy sacrifice!"
After giving the Lust Lord a meaningful look, Balor the Balrog said in a deep voice:
"Go on up, let her go for now!"
The lord of lust struggled for a moment on her beautiful face, but was helpless.
Even though the fallen angel's rank is not as high as hers, its value as a sacrifice far surpasses hers, and Balrog would never give it up.
Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, the fallen angel, with his long legs encased in armor, ascended the altar.
As if it had smelled a delicious treat, the flesh altar greedily opened its massive maw the moment the fallen angel stepped onto it.
The delicate body contrasted sharply with the terrifying, grotesque maw, as if conveying a twisted sense of taboo, and that beautiful figure was about to wither away in the next moment.
At that moment, the entire world seemed to collapse, and a huge void descended upon this magnificent city.
An unknown, immense power surged down like a spatial tide, and the terrifying, grotesque altar of flesh melted away like ice and snow under its power. The collision brought about by the annihilation of space devoured everything.
What was once the highest altar in the city has now turned into a terrifying hole, revealing a dark and deep pit after the space dissipates.
The city was deathly silent. All the demons, including the demigods, stared blankly at the bright world reflected in the huge void.
In that world, a bloodstained hand slowly moved away.
The next moment, the gaze of the Abyss's will fell upon the only living creature in the deep pit that the altar had transformed into.
Beneath the aftershocks of the annihilation of that space, one could vaguely discern a shattered suit of armor and a bewitching body covered in wounds.
Chapter Twenty-Five: The Will of the Abyss!
"Last time, we wiped out entire groups of demons from another dimension in one go. Why is it that this time, even with a stronger attack, we haven't gained much?"
Luo Tian stared at the other end of the spatial passage, feeling somewhat bewildered.
His hand injuries had mostly healed, but due to the obstruction of that unknown force, Luo Tian had not fully recovered, and several shallow scars remained on the back of his hand.
Luo Tian had hoped that some otherworldly creatures would emerge from the other side of the interdimensional passage to heal his injuries, but the passage had been open for so long that not a single person had come to their death, which greatly disappointed Luo Tian.
"I hope it doesn't crash into a remote, lifeless dimension?"
Luo Tian had some doubts.
Unfortunately, the number 'q' on my data panel has become a jumbled mess. Even if I kill a bunch of monsters, I can't tell how many otherworldly creatures have died based on the number of 'q's layers.
Hesitantly, Luo Tian tentatively reached his hand into the spatial passage again, wondering if he could absorb some blood by throwing another Q attack.
As soon as Luo Tian reached his right hand into the interdimensional passage, he felt a cold gaze sweep across the world and fall upon him.
The gaze did not cause any harm to Luo Tian, but the moment their eyes met, Luo Tian felt that the gaze and the will that was preventing his wounds from healing were from the same source.
"Very strong!"
A thought flashed through Luo Tian's mind as he made this assessment of that unknown gaze.
The gaze itself does not contain any extraordinary power, but it seems to bear the weight of an entire world.
Majestic, profound, and terrifying!
Luo Tian froze, the Soul-Sucking Strike silently gathering power in his palm, resisting the immense pressure from another world.
He never expected that he would find such a terrifying being lying in wait for him here as soon as he had just entered the interdimensional passage.
The immense power behind that gaze surpassed that of a saint, surpassed that of a demigod, and even paled in comparison to the infinitely growing cannon chariots that existed before the canyon shattered.
If one had to compare it to something in Luo Tian's memory, it would only be Summoner's Rift, which Luo Tian had personally smashed.
But the world behind that gaze is far more vast and boundless than Summoner's Rift.
If Summoner's Rift is just a city in terms of size, then the world behind our view is a continent, or even a complete planet.
"World will? Heavenly Dao consciousness?"
These two words suddenly popped into Luo Tian's mind.
From Luo Tian's perspective, it was hard to imagine what kind of individual creature could grow to such a terrifying level.
In his understanding, only an entity similar to the will of the world possesses such characteristics.
Since he was facing such a transcendent being, Luo Tian had no time to regret his rashness. He could only hastily reveal his trump card and fully accumulate the Soul-Sucking Pain Strike, which had lost all sense of data, in his hand.
The Soul-Sucking Strike screen flickered wildly, and amidst the flashing of garbled characters, the countless souls that had once been devoured emitted terrifying howls in Luo Tian's right hand.
That right hand, which even bore scars, seemed to transcend the limits of the material world. The immense power it carried seemed capable of tearing apart heaven and earth and reenacting the cycle of earth, water, wind, and fire with every move.
The spatial passage that Luo Tian forcibly opened was completely disrupted, and space was like a fragile string being manipulated at will.
In the world of stars, the sky above Ming City is filled with clouds, and dense dark clouds cover the earth.
Within those clouds, countless terrifying thunderbolts seemed to transform into a sea of lightning, rendering the entire world as bright as day under the obscured sun.
All living beings trembled under this terrifying sea of lightning, even the strongest in Ming City, the few remaining saintly elders of the Yin Clan.
Under the might of heaven and earth, no one dared to seek the source of this strange phenomenon.
Luo Tian ignored the anomalies in the Star World, because he knew that this was just the result of the residual power of the Soul-Draining Strike leaking out, a feedback from the world's mechanism.
The real enemy he faced was always on the other side of the interdimensional portal.
His current fragile body means he cannot unleash this terrifying attack; he can only gather his strength and hold it back.
But often, the very act of wielding power is itself a great threat.
In the 333rd layer of the abyss, countless demons witnessed a scene they would never forget.
Above the utterly torn sky, the eyes of the great abyss's will indifferently gazed at the other end of the shattered heavens.
There, a gigantic hand covered most of the 333rd level of the abyss.
This hand is composed entirely of countless souls, the weak ones resembling ordinary humans, while the powerful ones exude an aura far surpassing that of demigods.
Shockingly, these souls are composed almost entirely of three forms.
Warriors wielding shields and warhammers, mages wielding staffs, and magic cannons integrated with cannons—these three monotonous figures constitute the terrifying palm that holds billions of souls.
The terrifying giant soul hand made no move; the roars of countless souls alone seemed capable of annihilating all living beings in the 333rd layer of the abyss.
No one doubted that the terrifying giant hand of the soul could tear apart the entire 333rd layer of the abyss plane.
The Balrog, as powerful as a demigod, felt utterly desperate. He knelt on the ground and began to pray for the protection of the great will of the abyss.
"Great Abyss, your faithful servant begs for your protection!"
More and more abyssal creatures knelt down, chanting the name of the abyss in unison!
However, the enormous eye formed from the will of the abyss did not move at all, merely staring indifferently at the giant hand of soul.
Meanwhile, in other abyssal planes, powerful beings far surpassing demigods turned their gaze toward the 333rd floor.
Among them are the long-established Abyss Lord, the Demon King whose fame resounds throughout the realms, the Fallen Archangel who is known as the enemy of the gods, and the Demon Prince who is called the child of the Abyss.
Regardless of their nature, all beings trembled upon seeing the hand constructed from countless powerful souls.
Even those abyss lords who surpassed demigods could only sadly discover that, despite possessing a layer of the abyss and wielding the power of life and death over countless beings, they were not even as powerful as some of the souls within it.
The only thing that allows them to transcend those souls is the blessing of the abyss and their own proximity to the true God.
The fear that the demon kings and fallen archangels, who were comparable to true gods, felt for that giant hand of souls was no less than that of the abyss lords.
