But in her dark eyes, the sorrow was as thick as a swamp.

Tears streamed down her face, even as she smiled.

At that moment, she felt both relieved and sad, excited and desperate.

“You should give him a name, even if... he’ll be a prisoner his whole life.”

The nurse who delivered the baby kindly offered this reminder.

The woman nodded and said, "Bane, his name is Bane."

The nurse, holding a blood-stained gauze, asked curiously, "Bane? Do you think this child is a menace?"

The woman shook her head and did not respond further.

Five years later, in the Republic of San Priscilla, Penadoroduro Prison.

Bain held the tattered teddy bear in one hand and gripped the prison bars with the other, looking outside.

There, several prisoners were wrestling together.

Blood spurted from the back of his head and nose onto the ground, eliciting cheers.

Bain was already used to all of this.

After all, he himself was born in this prison.

Although Bain was only five years old at the time, he was already quite sensible and had long been accustomed to the filth and evil in prison.

Fortunately, because of his mother, Bane, who lives with her, has a separate cell and is therefore relatively safe.

He simply watched the prisoners fight each other every day, and then watched the prison guards beat up the winning prisoners.

And so the days went by, one after another.

The monotonous, dull, and uninspiring life left Bain feeling lost.

Even with toys, he only ever had that little bear that had been patched and mended countless times.

Occasionally, when Bain overheard the old guys in the prison chatting about what the outside world was like, he would immediately press his face against the wall or the bars, listening intently and making sure he remembered everything.

From that moment on, the naive little Bain vowed that he would do everything in his power to escape from this place, to escape this damned prison!

Bain's mother hasn't been feeling well these past few days.

Or rather... her health has been deteriorating day by day since she went to prison.

The woman who was once healthy and slightly plump has now become emaciated and looks sickly.

Even though the guy with orange hair often came over to help and offer advice, it was still to no avail.

"Bane, come here."

The woman lay on the bed, speaking weakly.

Bain, carrying his teddy bear, walked up to the woman.

The light purple T-shirt next to him seemed to be the same one the woman wore when she first went to prison.

Seeing the woman's expression, Bain asked with concern, "Mom, are you thirsty?"

The woman shook her head and said, "I may be dying soon, but you are already six years old, and I haven't had a chance to teach you to read yet."

Upon hearing this, Bain replied nonchalantly, "I think I'll probably spend the rest of my life here, so being literate doesn't seem that important, does it, Mom?"

The woman was stunned for a moment upon hearing this, and then the sadness and despair in her eyes intensified.

"Yes, my poor son will spend his whole life in this prison full of sin and filth, never knowing how bright the sun is, never knowing what freedom is."

As she spoke, the woman couldn't help but cough.

“Even…after I die, my son may never see another woman again.” She looked at the prisoners outside and said sadly, “If Bain wants to find a companion, he may only be able to choose from those foul-mouthed and violent men. It’s really sad.”

Three days after this conversation, the woman passed away in tears.

For her, death was more like a relief.

At least that's what Bain thinks.

At his mother's funeral, Bain saw the view outside the prison for the first time.

Green grass and trees, pale yellow dirt roads, and a blue sky dotted with white clouds.

At the end of the road is a place called Shark Cliff.

Even through the prison's iron bars, all of this felt novel to Bain.

Is this the outside world?

Bain spoke with a solemn expression, his eyes filled with sorrow, yet not a single tear fell.

He knew that his mother had died because she was too weak.

Bain doesn't want to repeat his mother's mistakes; he must be strong and find a way to get out of this damn prison.

Watching his mother's body being thrown off Shark Cliff, becoming food for the sharks below, Bane silently turned and left.

But now, the truly tragic moment in Bain's life has only just begun.

Because of her mother's passing, Bain could no longer enjoy special treatment.

The ruthless warden transferred Bane to the regular cell block, placing him in the same area as those inhuman prisoners.

On the way to his cell transfer, Bain was sandwiched between two prison guards wearing yellow uniforms.

He was hugging his teddy bear and pillow, wearing the prison uniform with a number that had just been issued to him.

At this moment, Bain was like a fledgling bird just learning to fly, his face full of fear and apprehension.

The lonely Bane could only huddle on the iron bed in the corner of his cell, shivering.

He knew that, in the eyes of these inhuman prisoners, he was like a piece of meat thrown onto a chopping board.

Only the teddy bear in his arms could bring him a sliver of security.

Unfortunately, young Bane had already become "food" in the eyes of those beasts in the prison.

Especially those guys whose minds are full of perverted desires.

For example... the perverted fat guy in the cell opposite Bane.

The guy was shirtless, his huge belly was full of grease, and it was almost overflowing.

His hair and eyebrows had long since disappeared, and the ring on his nose and the chain were connected to his ears. He grinned wickedly at Bane.

Bain looked at the guy's sparse, yellow teeth, swallowed hard, and nervously squeezed into the cell again.

Clearly, the notorious, obese psychopath in this prison has his eye on Bane...

There's no way around it; there aren't any women in this prison. Even straight men can only choose relatively fair-skinned women to satisfy their desires.

A fair-skinned, tender little boy like Bane is naturally the first target of these perverts.

“Little guy, you’re welcome to come over and sit for a while sometime,” the grotesque fat man said to Bane with a sinister grin. “I’ll make sure you leave with a full load.”

Upon hearing this, Bain immediately tensed up, buried his head in the beggar's arms, and covered his ears tightly with both hands.

Although he was only six years old, through long-term exposure, Bain immediately understood what the perverted fat man meant.

I know just how filthy, disgusting, and unbearable this guy's words are.

And... just how dangerous I am!

Finally, during a free lunch break, the perverted fat man with the nose ring made his move.

"Your name is Bane, right?"

The fat man, with an extremely lewd smile, stretched out his hands to Bane.

"Let me go right now, or I'll report you to the guards!" Bain said, struggling.

"Prison guard?"

Upon hearing this, the fat man chuckled and said, "Do you think the prison guards here would care whether a six-year-old prisoner with no connections can poop more easily?"

Ignoring Bane's warning, the fat man grabbed Bane and headed towards his cell.

No matter how much Bain punched the fat man's body or kicked him in the ribs, he remained unmoved.

After all, Bain is only a six-year-old child. How much strength could he possibly have?

The other prisoners around them made no attempt to stop them; instead, they all watched with expressions of amusement.

A few even whistled and said, "Hey, Fatty, remember to call us when you're done and let's have some fun too!"

The fat man glanced back and said dismissively, "Tch, let's talk about it in an hour!"

However, just as the fat man was about to take Bane back to his cell, a muscular guy, as big as a chimpanzee, rushed out and punched the fat man in the chin.

This shocked everyone!

"It's him, number 333!"

"I remember this guy was a serial killer, I never expected him to attack the fat guy!"

"Could it be... that he's also taken a fancy to this delicate-skinned young man?"

"This fat guy is going to be in for a rough time!"

These guys are right, the fat guy is in for a rough time.

No one in this prison is currently a match for Number 333.

However, this guy's rescue of Bane from the fat man wasn't just a simple act of relaxation.

Instead, Number 333 wanted to bring Bane into his camp.

After all, there aren't many people in this prison, so who would be more suitable to be an informant than a six-year-old child?

Number 333 has real, explosive muscles, just like a real chimpanzee.

But no matter how abnormal the fat man is, he can't change the fact that his body is just a mass of fat.

Soon, the fat man was beaten so badly by number 333 that he was completely powerless to fight back.

He lay on the ground, his face covered in blood, and said in a tearful voice, "I...I will never dare to lay a hand on that short guy again, please don't kill me, please don't kill me."

"Since you're being sensible, I'll give you one last punch."
