Stellaris Universe

The Supreme Council Hall of the Earth Federation.

The meeting has been going on for half a day now.

The theme is very simple.

It's the "subspace" of the Warhammer universe on the sky.

"Subspace...emotional projection of reality...evil god..."

"Our subspace doesn't seem to have this kind of thing, but there's been some feedback that they've heard similar things from other extraterrestrials."

"Impossible! The content on the celestial screen represents the rules of another universe! Our laws of physics are different! Our faster-than-light travel relies on the physical subspace, not the mental subspace!"

"I think this might be a warning."

"These kinds of rumors usually don't come out of thin air, so be careful."

"Oh, right, there's another troublesome matter... The Supreme Command Office of the UNHCR has issued a new statement."

The press officer's voice trembled slightly: "The statement said... 'Thanks to our compatriots from another universe, who, through their most tragic sacrifices, proved the correctness and unique necessity of the Human Alliance's path. The naiveté of the Earth Alliance will ultimately lead humanity into an unspeakable abyss. The doors of the Human Alliance will forever remain open to awakened humanity.'"

"They continuously promote the content of the Sky Screen, further expanding its influence."

"They're still recruiting!"

"Border patrol teams have discovered a surge in jump signals in the direction of the UN-controlled area, suggesting that a large number of civilian vessels may be actively heading there!"

The president of the Earth Federation closed his eyes.

He knew that an ideological war, more fundamental and brutal than military conflict, had been fully launched under the cover of this sky.

Black Tower Space Station.

"Fun, so very fun!"

The puppets in the Black Tower rarely put down their projects, and almost all of their computing units devoted themselves to analyzing the data from the celestial projection.

A holographic image of Screw Gum flickered beside him, and a rational but rapid voice rang out.

“Deriving backwards from the information already presented, the fundamental constants and physical laws of this universe are fundamentally different from those of our universe.”

"Its underlying rule of 'direct spiritual interference in reality' is inconsistent with any of the power systems we currently know. It is an independent and self-consistent... perhaps it can be called a 'mind-will-power' universe model."

"The key is feasibility!"

Excitement gleamed in Black Tower's eyes.

"If 'collective consciousness' can truly create and maintain higher-dimensional entities stably, and these entities have a clear tendency toward 'powers,' then this is not simply 'meme pollution' or 'faith-based deification,' but an observable, and perhaps even... reproducible, universal law!"

Ruan Mei's call came in; her voice remained calm, but tinged with seriousness: "Black Tower, I advise you to be cautious. This model means that 'civilization' itself is a high-risk experimental field. Any large-scale emotional tendency or thought pattern could give rise to uncontrollable 'rule incarnations.' In the Warhammer universe, such incarnations are malevolent. But what will they give rise to in other environments?"

For now, she doesn't really want to bother with that cosmic thing.

Except for orcs.

Spore life forms are quite common.

But it's rare to see someone so incredibly strong and ridiculously powerful.

"I don't know, perhaps it's a star god?"

One sentence silenced Ruan Mei.

She paused, then immediately changed her words.

"From the perspective of life design, this structure, which deeply binds the fate of civilization to collective emotions, is extremely unstable and is a failed design destined to collapse periodically."

"But...it is precisely because of its failure that its data is more valuable for research. I need the coordinates of that universe, even if it is only theoretical."

"I'm calculating!"

Black Tower operated at lightning speed: "The way the Sky Curtain projects information is a huge mystery in itself. It can maintain stable information transmission under different cosmic rules, and its technical principles may involve a 'supercosmic constant' that we cannot understand. If we can crack it, we might not only find the Warhammer universe, but also... all the other universes connected by the Sky Curtain!"

Screw Gum: "Logically feasible, but the risk level is 'extremely high.' Black Tower, Ruan Mei, I must remind you that the exploration of unknown cosmological models, especially when the other party has clearly demonstrated its high level of danger, should follow the most basic preservation protocols. We should not actively become propagators of the concept of 'evil gods,' or unintentionally trigger 'resonance' of similar rules in this universe."

In short, it doesn't want its world to become a cesspool.

But in reality...

"I know, I know."

Black Tower waved his hand impatiently, but his eyes remained burning: "Let's figure out the principle first. As for whether to go or not... we'll talk about it later."

On the Starry Sky Train.

Walter Young fell into a long silence.

"Uncle Yang?"

Xing noticed that his expression was unusual.

"fine."

Walter pushed up his glasses, his eyes behind the lenses revealing a complex and unfathomable expression: "It's just... it confirms once again that the universe can be so diverse, and humanity's path can be so different yet equally difficult."

He thought of his hometown, and of his compatriots who struggled and sacrificed themselves in the collapse, and who eventually found a new path.

The humans of Warhammer seem to have been deprived of even the chance to "find a new path," left only to desperately bail water from a doomed, sinking ship until it sank.

"Is this the resilience that Aunt Himeko often talks about, the kind of resilience that even the gods find astonishing?"

March 7th, whisper.

"Perhaps."

Looking at the seemingly unchanged starry sky outside the observation window, Dan Heng said, "But this resilience comes at a great cost. We should be thankful that our universe is not yet that cruel."

"But it's also possible that we just haven't encountered it yet."

Star suddenly spoke, his grip on the baseball bat tightening: "Perhaps our 'Star God,' on some level, is like the 'Evil God' of Warhammer..."

She didn't finish her sentence, but everyone understood what she meant.

Star God, pursuing the ultimate destiny.

Evil gods are also the embodiment of a certain "concept".

What's the difference?

Is it about one's attitude towards civilization? Or about the form of existence?

Or is it simply a matter of... "luck"?

Rick and Morty's C-137 Garage

"Pfft—hahahaha! A cesspool! They call that a cesspool! Morty, did you hear that?!"

Rick laughed so hard he almost fell over, and even accidentally knocked over a bottle of wine that had just been opened.

"Those Warhammer idiots! They turned their universe into the biggest mental hospital and slaughterhouse in the entire galaxy! And they still have the nerve to shout 'For the Emperor! For humanity!' every day! Hahaha!"

Morty carefully dodged the corrosive liquid spreading on the ground: "Rick, Rick, this isn't funny, is it? The people from that universe seem to be in a terrible state..."

"miserable?!"

Rick stopped laughing and looked at Morty with the eyes of someone looking at an idiot.

"They deserved it! Morty! Listen carefully! They deserved it!"

He took a big gulp of wine and let out a sarcastic burp.

"From that damned ancient saint to those pointy-eared people who are always groaning and moaning, and then to the humans who got their own fathers into trouble on the toilet, every single one of them is guilty of reaping what they sowed!"

“If even one race had used their ass to think before they started this mess—oh, sorry, they probably don’t even have that thing—if they had thought, ‘If we do this, will we create a monster that eats us?’ things wouldn’t have turned out this way!”

"But... Rick, you also..."

"Can they just switch universes at will?"

Morty: "..."

Ling Cage Universe

“Boss…” Xia Dou spoke softly, breaking the silence, “The people from that universe… they seem to be in a worse situation than us.”

Shan Da scratched his head: "At least we know that the enemy is a Devouring Beast, a Mana ecosystem. If we can't beat them, we can run away or hide. But for them... it seems like running away is useless. The enemy comes from all directions, even from within our own minds."

Shattered Star gripped his weapon tightly, his voice low and menacing: "But they are resisting. They know it's futile, yet they still resist. That emperor... has sat on his throne for ten thousand years..."

Xu Tong sighed: "In comparison, the troubles we have here seem to be much 'simpler'."

Bai Yuekui remained silent, leaning against a broken concrete pillar, toying with a coin she had found among relics from the old world.

Her gaze pierced through the ruins, as if she could see into a more distant place.

“It is tragic.” She finally spoke, her voice calm, “but the Sky Screen showed us this not so that we could compare our misery or immerse ourselves in other people’s pain.”

She looked at her teammates.

"It's telling us—look how terrible the universe can be, how desperate the human condition can be. And we..."

She flicked the coin, which tumbled in the air and landed on the back of her hand, where she caught it firmly.

"But we still have a choice. We haven't been forced into that situation yet. The enemy we face, though powerful, is at least concrete and understandable."

“We still have this land to navigate, we still have each other to rely on, and we still have… hope to find.”

She put the coins away and stood up straight.

"So, don't let that despair infect you. Use it as a mirror to reflect on yourself. Then, live on with more effort and fight on with clearer minds. Don't let our world become even the slightest bit like that."

The team members straightened up, and the confusion and heaviness in their eyes were gradually replaced by determination.

"Understood, boss!"

Other worlds, however, are digesting the impact of this "shithole universe" in their own ways.

Some have strengthened dimensional protection and real-world stability anchors.

Some convened emergency inter-racial summits to discuss how to prevent civilization from heading toward any similar extremes.

Some superheroes or secret organizations, on the other hand, get caught up in deep philosophical speculation and research into the subspace.
