Pirate Kingship
Chapter 63: Remarks on the launch
Hello, my new book has been launched for more than a month, and it will finally be on the shelves tomorrow, Thursday.
"Pirate Kingship" is Whale's fourth book (also known as: "Conqueror on the Mast").
The first book is fantasy, a fine product, with an average subscription of 4,500; the second book is science fiction, which was written all the way to the Laniakea Supercluster, but the background was too big and it failed gloriously;
The third book is a fairy tale, a great fine product, with an average subscription of 6,200 when it was completed.
In the fourth book, I wrote fantasy again, still with the theme of great navigation, but I changed the angle and started from pirates.
Many big guys have seen that the inspiration comes from the War of the Roses in British history, which is also the prototype of the story of "Game of Thrones".
But there is no palace fighting and intrigue. The real romance of pirates is the huge ships, cannons, treasures, fine wines, and the unknown world.
The outline of this book was formed together with the previous book "The Fruit of Killing", and the original idea was that it was a story that took place in the East and the West respectively under similar backgrounds.
The timeline should be this book first and the previous book later.
The various materials prepared are quite sufficient, including sailing warships, European swordsmanship, various black magic, history through geography, Viking pirates, pirate legends, and Norse mythology.
I haven't counted how many physical books I bought, but there are probably four or five stacks.
The preparations before starting the book are also very much. Not counting the more than 100 pages of navigation knowledge notes, the outline, setting collection, and story line add up to 200,000 words.
I was basically idle for two months after the last book was finished.
The main purpose is to build a navigation story that combines real background, epic legends and fantasy elements.
Because many book friends have reported that the biggest problem of fantasy is that it is difficult to remember people's names, a power system of [titles] is specially designed.
Every relatively important supporting character has his own [title] or nickname, and I don't know what the specific effect is.
In short, Xiaola, New Book Strong Push, Sanjiang, after eating all the recommendations, I came to the second place on the new book list. I want to thank every reader who supports me.
Thank you! orz
Your support is the inexhaustible motivation for Whale to write every book carefully.
I also want to thank my editor-in-chief Qingting and editor Jiangcha for giving me a lot of valuable advice.
Of course, I am also a loyal "confidant" of Qidian Group 10 (laughs).
It will be on sale tomorrow at 12:05 noon, Thursday, with four chapters updated in a row. Please support! orz
