New Order of Azeroth

The population of Azeroth has never been determined. As a writer, I have no idea what the cultivated land area, the cost of official management, productivity and production relations are.

Why did I set the population of Lordaeron to be one million? I even saw other fan authors deliberately reducing the population. Why?

One reason, balance.

For example, when the blood elves were destroyed, 90% of them died, and a lot of Demon Addicts died. Kael'thas and Illidan went to fight Arthas, and a lot of them died, and they joined the Legion and were massacred. There were a bunch of blood elves, and then they were divided and blurred. The question came, how many blood elves were left in the end?

Same question, Thrall only had a few ships when he crossed the Endless Sea, so how could he develop a tribe with just a few people? According to the shipbuilding technology of that era, one ship can carry 500 people, and one hundred ships can only carry 50,000 orcs.
