Monster Hunter in League of Legends
Chapter 3: The Venomous Fang of the Great Paralyzed Thief Dragon
Nidalee suffered a concussion and let out a piercing scream of pain. Her fangs broke, her bones shattered, and the wound at the corner of her mouth was raw and bleeding. Blood mixed with dirt covered her entire body, and a large amount of blood seeped into her fur. Forget about struggling or resisting; even standing up was a luxury. She could only lie in the pit, convulsing.
Tarlin stretched out his massive forepaws and pressed them firmly against her back. His sharp, serrated claws dug into her flesh, pinning her to the ground. With a slight exertion, his claws tore open several more wounds of varying depths, causing blood to flow. The jungle leopards surrounding them bristled, arching their backs and pawing at the ground, letting out angry and anxious low howls.
Although they were in a sorry state, Tarlin had been targeting Nidalee more, so apart from a few unlucky ones, most of the jungle leopards only suffered minor injuries.
Now, seeing their leader severely injured, they tensed their front paws, seemingly wanting to rush forward and attack. However, seeing the claws that Tarin had pressed against Nidalee's body, and seeing their leader covered in blood and on the verge of death, they finally stopped in their tracks.
Tallinn could sense the tension and worry in the eyes of these jungle leopards. Their angry growls were tinged with helplessness as they stared intently at Tallinn's claws, fearing that the slightest exertion from him would tear Nidalee's throat apart. They could only pace back and forth in circles, restless and anxious, yet they dared not make a move.
Although it is a wild beast, it seems to possess considerable intelligence.
Noticing this, Tallinn narrowed his scarlet vertical pupils, then lowered his head, looking at the heavily injured and dying female leopard, seemingly considering how to deal with her.
Seemingly sensing that Tarin was thinking, Nidalee did not resist as before, but trembled and let out a few moans, as if begging for mercy.
Intelligent monsters are indeed more valuable as members of the Beastkin than mindless, low-ability monsters.
Thinking this, Tarin lowered his head and rubbed his nose against Nidalee's wound, feeling her body tremble. A ferocious yet gleeful smile crept onto Tarin's lips once more. Then, he stomped his paw on Nidalee's body and let out a deafening, proclamation-like roar.
Upon hearing Tarlin's roar and Nidalee's howl as the leader, the remaining jungle leopards stretched out their forearms and lay down, adopting a posture of submission.

As the system notification sounded in his mind, a glimmer of clarity flashed in Tarlin's eyes. He then suppressed the biological hormones surging in his veins and inhibited the continuous secretion of his battle glands, instead focusing his attention on the ecological terms provided by the system and choosing to accept them.
Immediately afterwards, Tarlin was able to clearly feel an unbearable, sharp pain in his mouth, similar to the eruption of a wisdom tooth.
Soon, Tarlin's four fangs became even thicker and longer—unlike the Paralysis Dragon, the Odogaron didn't only have two huge fangs in its upper jaw, but two in both its upper and lower jaws.
To use an analogy, the fangs and mouth of the Parasitic Dragon are like a stapler, while the mouth of the Tarlin is like the staple remover.
This resulted in Tarlin's four fangs being enhanced by venom glands after incorporating the venomous fang ecology of the Paralysis Wyvern, becoming even thicker than before.
The four fangs also allow Tarlin to inject a larger dose of toxins in the same amount of time—not just the paralyzing toxin of the Paralyticosaurus, but also the biological hormones of the Odogaron.
In Tallinn's perception, the changes brought about by these ecological terms were not simply superficial, such as teeth becoming larger and more poisonous. Rather, they involved subtle adjustments to the entire oral cavity structure of the dragon's snout, resulting in overall evolution.
It feels good.
Tarlin thought to himself—there's no Hunter's Guild here to supervise, hunting is unrestricted, and the process of feeling yourself become stronger and more outstanding is truly addictive.
Thinking this, Tallinn also brought his thoughts back to his surroundings and looked at the jungle leopard that was already on the verge of death beneath him. After a moment of silence, he opened his mouth and bit the flesh of its neck.
Seeing this, the jungle leopards nearby also let out terrified roars, their submissive posture turning into one of increasing anxiety.
Nidalee let out a low moan—she didn't know what the ferocious beast was going to do, but being so close, Nidalee could sense that Tarin had changed from his previous bloodthirsty frenzy to calm and peaceful.
Even if the other party wanted to kill her... she no longer had the ability to fight. If her death alone could allow the beast horde to continue, Nidalee was willing to accept such an ending.
Hunting and being hunted—this has been the primal law of the wilderness since ancient times.
Having been influenced by her mother from a young age, Nidalee is now following a similar path.
But the expected death did not come. To Nidalee's surprise, although the ferocious beast bit through the flesh of her neck, it did not sever it, but instead injected some kind of venom.
Under the influence of the venom, Nidalee could clearly feel the excruciating pain all over her body rapidly diminishing. As the venom flowed, her previously weak and dying body seemed to be infused with some new power. Even her sluggish heartbeat began to regain its vitality and resume a strong and powerful pumping motion.
However... although my body has improved a lot, I have also lost the sensation below my neck.
The biological hormones of the Odogaron stabilize physiological activities, while the paralyzing toxins of the Paralyzed Dragon prevent sudden rebellion.
Having confirmed that both secretions were working in the areas Tallinn needed, Tallinn nodded and then looked around at the surrounding forest.
Having spent so long in the Monster Hunter world, Tarin has also learned how to identify the medicinal properties of plants and how to prepare them.
Even though this isn't the new continent of the Monster Hunter world as one might imagine, Tarlin can still easily discern the functions of some plants through his understanding of the ecology.
Thinking this, Tallinn let out a low growl, ordering the other jungle leopards to wait there. Then he strode forward, aggressively passing through the panicked and frightened leopard pack, heading into the depths of the dense forest.
Once they saw that Tallinn had gone far away, a few of the bolder cheetahs slowly and nervously approached Nidalee, making soft calls, as if they were asking whether they should take the opportunity to escape.
Nidalee shook her head almost without thinking, letting out a soft growl.
Even if a tribe escaped the clutches of that ferocious beast while severely injured, it would lack the resources to compete with local predators for limited resources in other forests.
Of course, the main reason that truly made Nidalee make such a decision was the venom that Tarin had just injected into her.
Although this left her limbs paralyzed and unable to move, her physical condition improved considerably.
This means that the other party is not just a beast with brute force, but a special beast with high intelligence, like the Paka jungle cat.
Thinking this, Nidalee also let out a low growl, signaling the surrounding jungle cats to stay in place and wait.
In Nidalee's mind, Tarlin would return sooner or later. If he really didn't come back, then it wouldn't be too late to leave.
And just as Nidalee had expected, only an hour or two later, the ferocious beast, its muscles and hide a dark red, congealed red, returned from the shadows of the jungle, carrying a large amount of plants in its mouth.
These plants were identified and tasted by Talin as having hemostatic and healing effects.
Although I wasn't quite sure how to use it, it didn't matter; having something was better than not having one, so I just grabbed a handful from Tallinn.
Upon seeing the herbs in Tallinn's mouth, the jungle leopards seemed to realize what he was about to do, and their faces showed surprise. Then, they all tilted their heads, revealing puzzled expressions.
Tallinn didn't care. In his eyes, although these "jungle leopards" had some surprising social characteristics, they were still felines after all. No matter how intelligent they were, they had small brains and would have a hard time understanding the super-intelligent behaviors that only primates could have.
Thinking this, Tarin came to Nidalee's side and chewed the herbs in his mouth with thick saliva into a green, sticky paste.
Although it's disgusting, this saliva contains the biological hormones of the Odogaron, and it's by no means just a simple adhesive.
Since the claws of the Odogaron were clearly not suitable for applying medicine, Tarin slowly transformed into human form under Nidalee's incredulous gaze.
He was tall, at least 1.95 meters. He wore armor, the style of which was very similar to his previous beast form. His chest and shoulders were covered with scarlet hard leather, and his entire body was wrapped in black binding leather, perfectly showcasing his sharp muscle lines. His face was covered, and the skull outline, identical to his previous beast form, looked extremely aggressive.
Not only Nidalee, but the other jungle leopards also showed a look of astonishment after seeing the changes in Tarlin.
At first, Tallinn didn't pay much attention.
Even during the battle, these jungle leopards displayed discipline and intelligence far exceeding that of ordinary people, and were even able to withstand the mental pressure brought by the intimidation of the ferocious jackal to a certain extent.
Most felines are solitary animals, but these jungle leopards are able to form a tight pack, which clearly indicates that they possess intelligence and comprehension abilities far exceeding those of ordinary wild animals.
Now, watching helplessly as they transform from seven- or eight-meter-long behemoths into human form, if it were them in Tallinn's shoes, they would be just as astonished.
That was all Tallinn had been thinking at first.
But gradually, Tallinn also realized that something was wrong.
Because some of the jungle leopards weren't just staring blankly at him, but were shifting their gaze between him and the jungle leopard king in front of them with a puzzled look.
Consequently, when the jungle leopard king looked at him, his gaze changed from tense to blank, and Tallinn could even sense a slight complexity and eagerness.
Seemingly sensing Tarin's thoughts, the Jungle Leopard King let out a low growl. Then, to Tarin's astonishment, its massive body gradually contracted inward, transforming into a tall and agile woman about 1.7 meters tall.
Unlike Tarlin, Nidalee wore no armor, but simple animal hides, revealing smooth and taut muscle lines. Her muscles were neither exaggeratedly bulging nor delicately slender, but rather exuded a wild beauty full of elasticity and explosive power.
Her skin had a healthy honey hue, like fertile soil kissed by the sun. Her shoulders and back were relaxed yet powerful, her chest was full but not bulky, her waistline was perfectly cinched, and combined with her full and perky buttocks, she formed a breathtaking S-curve.
Her face possessed both the delicate beauty of a young girl and the sharpness of a hunter; her features were clear and sharp, with clean, crisp lines, exuding the refinement of a feline. Her long, jet-black hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, some sections braided into fine braids, adorned with animal teeth and feathers, clearly conveying a distinct wildness.
Aside from animal teeth, bones, and feathers, Nidalee wore no other adornments. Her upper body was covered by a tight-fitting leopard skin top, revealing her flat, toned stomach and smooth waistline. Her lower body was covered by a leather skirt, showcasing her full, firm thighs and slender calves.
Having just transformed from the form of a Paka jungle cat into human form, his body was still covered in numerous bloodstains, and his long, narrow amber eyes looked at Tarin with disbelief in them.
Looking at Nidalee in front of him, Tarin blinked in confusion.
Previously, Tarin had felt that these jungle leopards looked strangely familiar, but he couldn't quite place which Monster Hunter artbook they appeared in. Now, seeing Nidalee in front of him, Tarin quickly realized the problem.
Of course, I can't remember which Monster Hunter setting book these jungle leopards... no, I should say which Paka jungle cats appeared in.
Because these characters appear in Legends of Runeterra, a card game with the same universe as League of Legends but in a different timeline!
After a moment of silence, Tarin asked, "You are... Nidalee? So, this is... the jungles of Ixtal?"
Upon hearing Tarin's question, a flicker of surprise and uncertainty crossed Nidalee's eyes. After a moment of silence, she nodded and said:
"Yes, I am Nidalee... Who are you? How do you know my name? And why are you here?"
Upon hearing Nidalee's admission, Tarin slapped his forehead, his face contorted in a constipated expression.
Originally, he thought he had just been thrown into a corner of the Monster Hunter world by the Ancestral Dragon. Although he said that he had been transported to another world twice, he did not really think that it was a second time. It was just that the huge change in environment when he opened his eyes caused a mental misalignment, which led to his complaints.
But now it seems obvious that I wasn't just thrown into some corner of the Monster Hunter world, but actually thrown into another world?!
