Dragon Clan: I, Nono! Inherit countless futures!

Chapter 3 Fulfilling His Last Wish

"Tell me, how long will it take me to kill you?"

The girl tilted her head, as if she was thinking about a very interesting question.

She was disheveled and covered in wounds, her face deathly pale, but her eyes were bloodshot as she stared intently at the man before her.

Chen Lin felt a chill run down his spine from the gaze and couldn't help but take a half step back. He unconsciously swallowed, feeling for a moment as if he were being watched by an evil spirit.

But this feeling quickly disappeared as the girl slowly lowered her head, seemingly exhausted, her long, wet red hair hanging down and obscuring her face.

Chen Lin was somewhat unwilling, but he knew that he really didn't dare to kill Chen Motong right now.

The machine slowly lowered the girl, but he did not give any orders, clearly indicating that someone with higher authority had taken over the area.

When Chen Motong woke up again, she found herself back in her room, her previously blank mind now filled with memories.

She did indeed become Nono, born into a large family with dozens of brothers and sisters. They had no mother, but their father only doted on the most outstanding child.

Chen Lin was the most outstanding one. Before Chen Motong appeared, his father also doted on him the most. He had always been the most obedient dog of the Chen family head.

But then Chen Motong appeared.

She was very intelligent and always ranked first in everything. The head of the Chen family liked her exceptionally well and gave her more attention and affection than anyone else.

Until that dirty Indian woman who claimed to be her biological mother came looking for her, she was seriously ill and died in front of Nono not long after, but unexpectedly stimulated and activated her bloodline and spiritual vision.

And then everything changed.

The head of the Chen family, not knowing what he wanted to know, had her arrested and interrogated, demanding to know what she had seen in her spiritual vision.

Now, the family head must have gotten the answer she wanted, so she was released.

Chen Motong, feeling slightly dizzy, stumbled out the door and followed her memory to a wasteland on the outskirts of the city.

There stood a solitary earthen grave, its tombstone merely a simple, empty wooden plaque with nothing written on it.

This is Nono's mother's grave.

Chen Motong stood silently in front of the simple earthen grave for a long time, and finally placed a bunch of white lilies in front of the blank wooden plaque.

Almost the instant the lily was offered, Chen Motong felt the box in her mind open, and an unfamiliar melody rang in her mind. It was an ancient language, it was... the language of the gods!

Chen Motong naturally understood the meaning of the language; it was a word of power, and it would also be her word of power.

[Last wish fulfilled, belongings inherited, new urn will be available in one day]

As the electronic voice finished speaking, the urn in her mind slowly disappeared, but before Chen Motong could even study the power of the word carefully, she heard footsteps behind her.

The newcomer seemed to be in a bad mood, and even his footsteps were heavy. Chen Motong knew who it was without turning around.

Chen Lin, who tried to kill her but failed.

"Mo Tong, you've suffered a lot these past few days. Father sent me to ask you if there's anything you'd like in return."

As Chen Lin spoke, he seemed to want to appear concerned, but he couldn't help but reveal an unnaturalness.

This is understandable. After all, not long ago he wanted to kill Chen Motong, but now he has to pretend to be a brother who cares about his sister. It would be hard for anyone to do it naturally.

He really hated his sister who loved to show off and stole all of his father's attention. He really wanted to kill her, but unfortunately, he failed, and his father found out about his intentions.

Although he has not been punished yet, Chen Lin knows that his father will not let him off easily.

For the sake of his life, he naturally dared not disobey his father's orders again. Even though he didn't want to see Chen Motong's face at all, he still had to come over and ask her what kind of compensation she wanted.

"Compensation?" Chen Motong asked back.

"Yes, it's compensation for you." Chen Lin explained patiently, "Father said that he will do his best to fulfill any request you make."

"So, Mo Tong, is there anything you want?"

Chen Motong pondered for a moment, then casually said, "Give me a gun."

Chen Lin frowned: "A gun? What do you need a gun for?"

"Why, is that not allowed?"

"No, I just felt that a girl like you shouldn't want such violent things..." Chen Lin said, while pulling a pistol from his back waist. It was a large-caliber Desert Eagle.

"If you think girls shouldn't want something so violent, then you can paint it pink and give it to me," Chen Motong said calmly.

Chen Lin was taken aback upon hearing this, then chuckled. He shook his head as he handed the Desert Eagle to Chen Motong.

"Is this all the compensation you want?" Chen Lin asked. "You can ask for something else. Father said anything is fine."

Chen Motong smiled knowingly and said in a low voice, "He has already delivered the compensation to me."

Having regained her memories, she also recalled her father's indifference and selfishness. Chen Motong knew perfectly well what it meant for Chen Lin to be sent to her.

She has always been a vengeful person, so since it's been delivered right to her, she'll gladly accept it.

"What did you say?" Chen Lin didn't hear clearly, but Chen Motong just shook his head, saying that was enough.

Chen Lin immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

They just dismissed him with a gun? He was worried for so long, afraid he'd be made things difficult for him.

It really is something that can't be presented in public.

Before he could finish his mocking thought, the dark muzzle of the gun was pointed directly at his forehead. Chen Lin froze instantly, and cold sweat broke out on his forehead.

The girl in front of him smiled, her dark red eyes reflecting his pale face. Chen Motong tilted his head slightly and said with a smile, "I was just kidding, I don't want a gun..."

"What I want is your life."

Chen Lin opened his mouth to beg for mercy, but before he could make a sound, a loud gunshot suddenly rang out.

"Bang!"

The man's body slumped down, blood splattered everywhere. Chen Motong casually wiped his blood-stained face.

"I told you, if you can't kill me, I will definitely kill you."

Without looking up, she coldly asked, "How long are you going to keep watching?"

Before he could finish speaking, footsteps sounded again behind him, along with a man's serious, deep voice.

"Mo Tong, haven't you made enough of a scene?"

The middle-aged man, as serious as a terracotta warrior, walked step by step to Chen Motong's side. He didn't even glance at Chen Lin on the ground, as if he wasn't his most beloved and capable son, but a dead dog on the roadside.

The visitor was Chen Motong's father, the head of the Chen family.

"What if I say it's not enough?" Chen Motong asked back. She looked at the man, but froze when she saw his dark eyes.

The man's eyes were like deep black holes, captivating anyone who looked at them. It was as if he could hear the low chanting of incantations, leaving Chen Motong's mind blank.

"Forget it," a deep male voice said. "Forget the torture, forget Chen Lin, forget all of this."

At his voice, the girl nodded blankly like a puppet. Only then did the Chen family patriarch show a satisfied expression. He asked in a low voice:

"Mo Tong, tell me, what did that woman say to you?"
