Dragon Clan: I, Nono! Inherit countless futures!

Chapter 13 Ancient Words of Power

Fingel would never forget that day when a girl with long red hair descended from the sky just as he was about to be pierced through the chest by the tail of a giant dragon.

He stared blankly at the girl, watching her descend like a divine being... and kick him on the head.

Like a rabbit kicking an eagle.

Fingel suddenly accelerated toward his falling body, watching helplessly as the sharp tail stinger, gleaming coldly, whistled past his head before he rolled several times on the seabed in a sorry state.

Under his astonished gaze, the red-haired girl also developed a faint metallic sheen. Although her size hadn't increased as drastically as his, he was absolutely certain he wouldn't mistake that color.

Word of Power: The Bronze Throne!

This girl actually has the same kind of spiritual power as him!

Chen Motong had no time to pay attention to Fingel's surprise. She also took out a combat dagger and slashed fiercely at the tail spike that had slashed past her.

Her strength was not as great as Fingel's, but with a full-force attack, the scales on the dragon's tail also exploded, sparks flew, and blood splattered everywhere.

The dragon let out a painful roar, lashed its long tail, and disappeared into the darkness once more.

But everyone knew it hadn't left; a dangerous aura surrounded them, like a venomous snake lurking in the shadows, ready to launch a counterattack at any moment.

This enormous thing seems to be very intelligent. It's not in a hurry to defeat us head-on. After suffering some losses, it starts to use guerrilla tactics.

It was as if it knew this was its home turf, and that humans were so vulnerable here that it would collapse on its own if it held out for even a short while.

While remaining vigilant against the dragon's sneak attack, Chen Motong swam to Fingel's side and, under Fingel's watchful eye, snatched the bomb from his waistband.

Fingel wanted to tell her that the bomb was timed and that its power was only directed at unhatched embryos, with more of the sulfur and mercury damage targeting newborn dragons, and limited damage to already hatched dragons.

But he had no time to say anything, because the dragon's next attack was already imminent.

The water was turbulent, and something enormous was approaching at high speed. The girl swung her knife forcefully, blocking the tail spike that was aimed straight at her face.

The dragon roared in frustration. It retracted its tail spike, but instead of disappearing back into the darkness, it suddenly turned and charged at Fingel.

It was indeed an intelligent creature. Finding that Chen Motong, this new force, still had strength for the time being, it went to pick on the "easy target".

Fingel, exhausted, could no longer even maintain his bronze throne. At this moment, he was like a lamb to the slaughter, only able to watch helplessly as the huge and ferocious Grim Reaper opened its bloody maw towards him.

Fingel was filled with resentment. He tried his best to use the Word of Power again, but it was too late. The dragon was already in front of him, and he could even smell the stench from the dragon's mouth.

Just then, he saw the girl pull out a bomb.

Fingel shook his head at her.

It's no use. That's a time bomb. Even if it's only set for a few seconds, the dragon will have plenty of time to escape.

The bomb was originally intended for stationary targets that could not be moved.

It seems I'm going to die here after all. It's such an unsurprising ending," Fingel thought, sighing.

I should have just died from the start. That way I wouldn't have gotten kicked in the head, and that annoying 13-year-old girl wouldn't have had to waste her life.

But then he froze, because he saw the girl casually throw the bomb into the trench next to the reef.

That's not the point. The point is that, upon noticing her movement, the giant dragon that was about to bite his head suddenly stopped and opened its mouth, letting out a deafening roar.

This was more furious than any previous roar. The dragon charged headlong into the trench where the bomb had been thrown. Whether it was an illusion or not, Fingel even sensed a sense of urgency emanating from the dragon.

He suddenly realized that the academy's location was correct, and that the dragon was not the Dragon King. The real Dragon King was still an embryo, hidden in that trench.

This dragon is likely the Dragon King's attendant, existing to protect the embryo, which is why it attacks any creature that approaches the embryo's territory with such frenzy.

But he didn't have time to think it through. He rushed towards the pile of rocks and towards the girl hiding inside.

But someone was faster than him. Chen Motong pulled EVA out with one hand by the safety rope, then quickly swam to him and grabbed the safety rope around his waist.

And so, the petite girl grabbed one in each hand and swam upwards with all her might.

The next moment, a terrifying explosion rang out.

The violent shockwave almost flattened the entire seabed from bottom to top, and the whole world seemed to be shaking. The three of them were like three fallen leaves in a storm, being swayed by countless bubbles.

For a fleeting moment, Chen Motong almost thought he was going to die in the shockwave.

The target was a Dragon King-level embryo, so the bomb's strength was naturally not weak. At such close range, they should have been doomed.

but.

Although the explosion was violent and the shockwave was powerful, it was not as overwhelming as expected. Chen Motong glanced down and his pupils contracted.

She saw a giant, scarred dragon!

The dragon actually wrapped the bomb in layers with its body, and at the same time froze the trench with countless cold currents!

It blocked the strongest wave of impact with its body!

The explosion left the dragon riddled with wounds, but it did not die; instead, it was thoroughly enraged.

As those golden eyes, seemingly burning with molten lava, locked firmly onto the three of them, Fingel coughed violently and whispered, "It looks very angry."

"I can tell," Chen Motong said. "Do you still have the strength? Hold on tight, it might be a bit bumpy from here."

"Is there still a chance?" Fingel asked. "It seems like it's getting serious."

"I don't know, let's take a gamble."

Almost before she finished speaking, the dragon's roar disappeared, replaced by an ancient, hoarse voice, which seemed to be the language of the primordial era.

The temperature plummeted, and a dragon-like creature made entirely of ice stretched its body out from the seabed. One, two, three, four... and finally, a gigantic creature composed of nine ice snakes emerged from the seabed, breathing out cold water and freezing the porous ice grid into a solid block of ice.

Word of Power: Nine Infants.

The super-powerful incantation, second only to the Primordial Authority, seemed to freeze the entire world the moment the nine-headed monster descended upon it!

Chen Motong pulled Fingel and EVA and swam upwards without looking back, even though she knew that this speed could not be faster than the speed of the ice, but she still kept swimming.

Because she was gambling.

Just then, a powerful current of water surged up from below.

Aside from the significant temperature difference between the upper and lower layers of seawater, such vertical ocean currents are rare. Either there is an underwater volcano below, or something incredibly large is rising at high speed.

Chen Motong seemed to sense something and looked down.

A slow smile played on Chen Motong's lips; she knew she had won her gamble.

Suddenly, a bright light enveloped the three of them. What rose with the beam of light was not a black monster, but a huge black warship.

A Royal Navy-marked Astute-class attack submarine!
