Monsters: Evolving from Titans to Ancient Gods

Chapter 4 The Titans' Trail

On a mountaintop hundreds of kilometers from the coastline, Longbo felt a sense of pleasure that permeated his body and mind, realizing that the next high-radiation zone was approaching.

Unlike the previous area that was almost drained dry by the unknown atomic dinosaur, the radiation energy in this area is extremely rare and may be able to support Lumbert's development to its full form.

Even just by getting close, he could feel how fresh and sweet the air was, almost like a luxury.

Even naturally occurring radiation zones are like this, and Longbo couldn't help but imagine how alluring the air would be in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in the future.

Just as Longbo was imagining sunbathing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in the 11th ward, and taking a bath in the 99% nuclear wastewater in Fukushima, a chilling fluctuation instantly woke him up.

Looking up at the distant sky, a scene resembling a natural disaster was unfolding.

The once clear sky suddenly changed, and a chilling red light emanated from it; it was not a natural light.

The dense clouds were illuminated by a crimson light, painting the entire sky a rosy hue that stretched to the horizon. Despite the great distance, Longbo could still sense the unique radiant fluctuations characteristic of Titans.

"Titan..."

Longbo looked up at the sky and muttered to himself.

He did not try to dodge; he simply stood on the edge of the hilltop, fully alert, surrounded by a field of azure charged particles, his charged particle cannon poised to fire.

The anomaly originated from the sky, which means that the Titan that triggered this anomaly can fly. With only a few hilltops available, Longbo has nowhere to hide.

The same principle applies to running; he has never heard of anything that can outrun something that can fly on two legs.

Rather than getting caught up while running away, it's better to stay put and utilize the turret attributes of your noble ranged unit, ready to fire a shot or two at any time.

In response, Longbo said, "Don't confuse him with those random Titans. Even if he's a young man, he's a young man who can breathe fire."

If I manage to take down my opponent, I might be able to turn the tables. It's common knowledge that flying creatures are generally lighter than those that run on the ground.

Of course, the three-headed dragon that came begging from the stinky aliens and the cosmic gang from M78 next door don't count.

Just as Longbo got into position, ready to wait for the Titan in the sky to appear so he could unleash a devastating attack, the source of the celestial anomaly finally revealed its lineup.

Longbo glanced at it and his heart sank to the bottom, knowing that he would probably have to send it this time.

A Titan, resembling a Pteranodon, soared through the sky, its wingspan of over 260 meters blotting out the sun.

As it moved forward, the intense heat dissipated, illuminating the sky and evaporating all the clouds and mist in its path. The lava armor covering its body was as red as the blazing sun, and streaks of sparks scattered along its flight path, leaving behind a magnificent trail like a meteor shower.

Rodan, also known as the Fire Demon.

Weighing nearly 40,000 tons, with a wingspan of over 260 meters and a height of nearly 50 meters, it can reach a top speed of several times the speed of sound and maintain this speed for a long time.

This is the Titan that appeared in Longbo's eyes.

And there were two of them.

The two Rodan flew at several times the speed of sound high in the sky, and the sonic boom echoed throughout the world. Although they were far apart, the forests on the ground were still destroyed as if they had been ravaged by a typhoon.

Temperatures soared to levels that made it difficult for animals to breathe.

But contrary to what Lonbo had imagined, the two Rodan weren't coming for him; they didn't even glance at him.

The two chased and played with each other in the sky, disrupting each other's flight paths, sometimes biting each other, and their claws hooking at each other.

The stench of romance, carried by the strong wind, reached Longbo's side, making him feel somewhat annoyed.

The two Rodan were completely absorbed in their own world, oblivious to the destruction caused by their movement, and utterly ignoring the speechless Luna below.

The two Rodan were excited, and their long, high-pitched roars carried far. Lumberjack, who understood the meaning in their eyes, just wanted to take his own eyes off and wash them.

"So I'm part of your play too, huh?" Longbo thought to himself, feeling utterly disgusted. That shameless Titan Old Deng was treating the whole world like an umbrella.

...

A day later, the voices of the two Titans exchanging feelings did not end and continued to hover above Longbo's head, making him so angry that his forehead was practically steaming.

"Wow, what a coincidence! Couldn't you two go somewhere else to express your love?"

Longbo was completely distraught. He had initially thought that the two creatures were just passing through and would leave soon.

But to everyone's surprise, the two of them actually spent the whole day rubbing against Longbo's head.

If it weren't for the scarcity of radiation zones on the Earth's surface, and the fact that if you missed this one, you might not know when you'd find the next one, Longbo would have already turned around and gone somewhere else.

If they hadn't failed to create a miniature Rodan for Longbo's live broadcast, he would have worried that he might have impulsively given them a good beating.

Finally, unable to bear it any longer, Longbo started cursing, and the highly intelligent Titan naturally understood the meaning of Longbo's roar.

The two Rodan stopped, flapped their wings, and looked at Longbo with a hint of surprise in their eyes.

They had discovered Luna long ago, but since they had their own lair and were not creatures that hunted other Titans for a living, they paid no attention to this weakling.

But they didn't expect Longbo to be so patient, enduring for so long before finally losing his temper.

In the end, the two Rodan left with disdain, watching Lunaboro, who was so angry he was practically smoking but didn't dare to make a move, leaving Lunaboro alone on the hilltop cursing.

As the two Titans left, Longbo felt relieved, and most of his anger dissipated.

"Forget it, why should I get angry with them?"

The Rodan couple hasn't been sent yet, which means that King Ghidorah hasn't arrived on the little planet to start the final battle with Earth's Titans.

But they will both die sooner or later in the war against King Ghidorah.

Longbo shook his head, moved his feet again, and approached the radiation core area that was now within reach.

He traveled a few more kilometers and arrived at the area with the highest concentration of radiation. However, as soon as he arrived, he smelled something unusual in the air.

It was the salty smell of the ocean, the fishy stench of fish, and a strange, Titanic scent.

Long Bo looked closely and saw that a huge pit had been dug out halfway up one of the mountains, with fresh soil scattered around it.

Judging from the size of the crater, the Titan that occupies this hilltop is slightly smaller than Longbo, and is clearly also a young man.

"There are competitors?"

Lonbo's previously subsided fighting spirit was reignited. He was used as part of the play by Rodan and his wife, but he knew he couldn't beat those two stinking bastards.

If I can't handle them, I can at least handle you, the guy who only managed to create such a small hole.

Longbo had nothing to say, just one word: Fight!

He stood still, without any chilling roar or imposing charge.

He simply raised his hand, channeling the charged particles in his body to surround his arm, and aimed it at the bottom of the pit.

"Eat my Hellfire Unparalleled Blazing Wave Cannon!!"
