Monsters: Evolving from Titans to Ancient Gods
Chapter 32 Dragon
The remains of a dragon-shaped titan are displayed on the lava islands, the massive skeleton already showing signs of fossilization. Despite being long dead, it still exudes a chilling aura and intense radiation.
It is obvious that this is the source of those Titan derivatives in the outside world; it created an astonishing number of dragon beasts with some special power.
Seeing the skeleton gradually turn into fossils, Longbo speculated that it may have died millions of years ago.
Perhaps those derivative species were able to grow to this extent because of the favorable environment of the inner Earth and the long passage of time.
Those giant beasts may not have been this big at first, but they grew larger with each generation.
If we had encountered Kamazoz decades ago, and if its derivatives had not gone extinct over millions of years, perhaps the same thing could have happened.
Longbo's thoughts continued to wander. He vaguely remembered that in the movie Godzilla vs. Kong, there was a giant beast called Doug that looked a bit like Godzilla.
He remembered that someone online had mentioned that it seemed to be a distant relative of the Godzilla race, so could it be considered a Titan derivative of the Godzilla race?
This seems to be a question worth considering.
His thoughts returned, and Longbo began searching for the source of the life response.
The cave walls offered no hiding places and showed no signs of life.
Looking down more closely at the floating island, they finally saw several petrified eggs behind the Titan's remains.
They appear to be descendants of this Titan; they may be dead eggs, or they may have failed to hatch for unknown reasons.
He crouched down, reached out his hand encased in bone armor, and picked up one of the pieces. The four eyes of the mask rapidly adjusted their gaze, constantly shifting between a colorful world and various perspectives such as thermal imaging and electromagnetic fields.
Ultimately, Longbo saw no possibility of the egg hatching successfully.
Looking down at the other dragon eggs, the result was exactly the same; they had long since lost their vitality over the long years.
There were three eggs in this nest. Longbo didn't know how many offspring this dead Titan usually had in its nest, or whether there were originally more eggs here.
However, given that he recently discovered traces of Titans here, he does not rule out the possibility that other eggs may have successfully hatched into new Titans.
If this conjecture is true, then there is only one possible location in such a vast cave to hide a Titan.
Lava River.
Longbo thoughtfully surveyed the surrounding lava lake. He still found no signs of life, but he did discover another passage in a small lake where lava had accumulated.
His guess has a certain probability.
After a long while, Long Bo stood up. The birth of that guess made his trip worthwhile.
He looked at the skeleton in front of him, thought for a moment, and ultimately decided not to take it away, but he also did not put the dragon egg fossil back in his hand.
He plans to keep it as a souvenir.
He figured that since the dragon egg's mother hadn't said anything, he casually put it into the Rainbow Magic Realm.
Longbo no longer intends to continue searching for the Titan that might have hatched from the egg, although he could find it if he were determined, but there is no need for it.
It can only be said that he came to challenge Titan to an elbow strike, not to bully a kid.
Before leaving, Longbo took one last look into the lava river, then returned along the same path he had come from, once again returning to the upper region of the Earth's core.
As Longbo emerged from the cave, the flock of dragons still circled in the sky, roaring noisily, as if they were displeased that Longbo had trespassed into their forbidden territory.
But Longbo merely glanced at him and ignored him. At that moment, he also felt the same way the Rodon couple had felt when they faced his provocation.
What apex predator would care about being provoked by an ant?
Titans and these dragons are not on the same level, so there is no need for them to be angered by their provocations and choose to retaliate.
Of course, this doesn't mean Lombard doesn't hold grudges. If he gets the chance, the Rodon couple will definitely give him a good beating.
"Mmm! Mmm!"
With a long bray, the golden ship reappeared in the Earth's core, its head held high, displaying a majestic posture, like a king of mountains surveying his territory.
But the moment it saw Longbo, its face fell again, it stuck out its tongue like an idiot, and its vertical pupils showed a wise expression.
Longbo's gaze lingered on its silly face for only a second before he couldn't take it anymore. He couldn't help but glance at its eight legs and noticed they were covered in saliva and wartdog teeth marks.
This guy seems to be causing trouble even in Rainbow Wonderland, courting death by provoking the wart dogs and getting chased and bitten by a large pack of them.
During this time, the Golden Ship caught sight of the cave behind it, and casually turned around, presenting its hind legs and rear to Longbo, preparing to attempt a solo kill on the rider.
But as Longbo came to his senses and realized its intentions, he punched it to calm it down.
The Titan and the horse set off again. Longbo carried his usual spear on his back, steered the golden ship away from the icy plains.
The two traveled across the ice plains, and although they were far from the lair of the dragon-shaped titans, the number of dragons here was still enormous; they were like sparrows, almost everywhere.
As the golden ship sails through the area, it occasionally opens its gaping maw full of fangs and manages to catch one or two dragons that are over ten meters long.
As it walked, its cheeks continued to chew, almost bursting with juice with every step, dripping red blood onto the ground and leaving long red trails.
But Longbo's attention wasn't on it at the moment; instead, he was looking at another continent in the sky, staring at the newborn Titan with a wingspan of over thirty meters.
It almost perfectly matches all the characteristics of the black dragon in mythology: it is covered in black scales, has a wide wingspan, four horns, and vertical pupils like a venomous snake.
As Nidhogg saw the Titans below casting their gaze upon him, he felt a chill run through his body and soul.
Driven by intense unease, it flapped its dragon wings to increase its speed, opened its dragon mouth to spew out deep purple flames, and accelerated into the space, disappearing into the colorful space.
"It feels a bit like the Night Fury's ability..."
Seeing the appearance and disappearance of the new Titans, Longbo withdrew his gaze, but seemed to be deep in thought.
It is certain that Longbo's speculation was correct; an egg did indeed hatch successfully in that cave.
The Titan's offspring hatched at some unknown time and has been living on that floating island, surrounded by corpses.
The arrival of Longbo made it uneasy, so it burrowed into the lava river and fled towards another exit.
Because Longbo was distracted and lost control of the reins, the Golden Ship's expression gradually became distorted, and it began to let loose, slurring its tongue.
It would sometimes run and sometimes stop abruptly, and it would leap high into the air many times. It would also chase after other giant beasts and maliciously bite their tails.
Longbo was exasperated and pulled on the reins to stop the guy's behavior.
He took out a heavy warhammer from the Rainbow Realm and raised it high, ready to teach this guy a lesson.
But it stopped again the next second because of a new task.

"..."
"So this is going head-to-head with the multicolored Grim Reaper, isn't it?" Longbo muttered to himself after a moment of silence.
