Monsters: Evolving from Titans to Ancient Gods

Chapter 24 1 vs 2 in the Downpour

The spear, measuring 150 meters in length and weighing thousands of tons, was surrounded by a bursting field of electric particles. With a piercing shriek, it tore through the air and shot straight toward Hydra's chest.

After throwing the spear, Longbo turned around and picked up the warhammer, once again channeling energy into the warhammer, which was forged from metal from the inner world, and using himself as a transfer station to help it absorb energy from the inner world.

Hydra straightened its body, extended its thick right claw, and tore through the air. The scythe-like claw collided with the spear blade, scattering brilliant sparks, before blasting it away.

The long, sharp spear spun and flew up with sparks. Hydra glanced at the paralyzed claws, then slid back down to the ground and snaked its way toward Longbo's back.

Its speed was terrifying, far exceeding the clumsy movements that a giant creature should have made. In just a few seconds, it approached Longbo's back, its gaping maws opening wide, its fangs standing like spears, and glistening venom flowing from them.

It stretched out its neck, its nine heads aimed at different positions on Longbo, and just as it was about to bite down, it heard the sound of electric currents raging from the sky.

In the sky, Typhon saw the spear spinning high into the air as he moved through the torrential rain, almost touching the top of the clouds. The electric particle field swirling around the spear dispersed, forming layer upon layer of giant electromagnetic rings.

Under the manipulation of the newly formed Titan, it formed several orbits, firing the spear a second time with a sonic boom, approaching the Hydra's body like a meteor.

Although the Hydra stopped moving immediately upon hearing the noise, avoiding vital organs, the sharp spear still pierced one of its heads, pinning it to the ground, its blood splattering and corroding the earth.

Painful, angry, and resentful cries echoed behind Longbo, but Longbo's four eyes remained firmly fixed on what lay ahead.

Facing Typhon, who was far stronger than the others, he almost felt the same tension he had when he faced Godzilla.

Unfortunately, he is no longer the person he was years ago, and Typhon is no longer Godzilla.

His four eyes pierced through the endless downpour, and in the gaps between the flashes of lightning, he saw the menacing shadow of the Hundred-Headed Titan.

The two Titans' gazes met, and Longbo's lips curled up slightly beneath his mask. This was the opponent he craved, not someone who would challenge the Golden Dragon to a duel at only forty meters.

The shadows drew rapidly closer, and even the torrential rain and thunder could not drown out the roar of Typhon's flight.

The two Titans collided rapidly, the massive impact tearing through the rain and creating a circular open area in the dim world.

The rain curtain was shaken apart, turning into a hazy mist that shrouded the two Titans. Deep, angry roars and the thunderous sound of warhammers being swung spread through the rain.

The storm almost dissipated upon impact, and the torrential rain turned into mist, making the already dim world even darker. Only when lightning flashed could one see the enormous shadows fiercely battling, the sound of metal clashing exploding.

The mountains collapsed under their power, and the earth was torn open with a crack that stretched to the horizon, as wide as a canyon, causing the world to tremble.

Longbo landed on the edge of the canyon, gripping the long handle of his warhammer with both hands. With a burst of powerful force, he slammed it heavily into Typhon's torso.

The fact that Typhon has an absurd number of heads almost implies that the heads are not its weakness. At least, without the ability to cut off all the heads at once, the heads are less of a priority than the torso.

But Typhon's strength was not weak either. It extended several heads and a sharp claw on one side, and forcefully took Lumbert's blow. Although the heads and claws were broken and bleeding, they firmly held the warhammer in place.

Meanwhile, Longbo's other hand had already extended two bone blades, which also clashed and stalemated with Typhon's claws.

The situation appeared to have reached a stalemate.

Longbo looked up at Typhon, their eyes reflecting the head gathering power under the dark clouds and the menacing vertical pupils.

When standing upright, Typhon was much taller than Lombard. Its lower limbs and tail supported its nearly 90,000-ton body, making it stand more than 140 meters tall.

Its mouth was accumulating power, but it didn't have the obvious radiance of a charged particle cannon or an atomic behemoth, so Longbo didn't know whether it was some kind of breath or venom.

However, it is certain that this torrential rain has spread with highly toxic substances, and judging from the fact that the opponent is also a Titan, it is very likely that it will be equally effective against Titans.

After all, Typhon is a Titan, so it can't possibly evolve venom to deal with ordinary creatures or subterranean super-species, can it?

After a stalemate of more than two seconds, a bright blue electric field bloomed on Longbo's horns, rising with a dazzling light amidst the torrential rain.

The charged particle cannon converged and fired, its straight, thin rays illuminating the storm clouds, heading straight for Typhon's chest.

But the ancient Typhon was very experienced, having fought more Titans than Lombard had ever heard of. He quickly dodged the attack with its extremely long wind-up and lowered his head to prepare to attack Lombard.

But soon, an attack that caught it off guard shot out from between the two stuck bone blades, hitting the eyes and necks of several of its heads at hypersonic speed.

Stinging, Typhon let out a shriek comparable to Kamazozz at non-full power, sending ripples through the air.

Lumbert seized the opportunity to quickly retrieve his warhammer, rapidly spun his body, gripped it tightly with both hands, channeled energy into it, and slammed it heavily into Typhon's side limb, releasing the accumulated energy without reservation.

Azure lightning pierced through the dark clouds and torrential rain, the shock and impact shattering one of Typhon's claws and arms, spraying flesh and blood that stained the rainwater red.

Having done all this, Longbo retreated without hesitation, dodging Typhon's sweeping tail and maintaining a safe distance, never greedily taking a hit.

Despite the seemingly huge advantage, Longbo knew that such a situation could easily be reversed.

The torrential rain now carries venom, and if one gets injured, the situation could easily turn around.

He is on the edge of a dangerous line where he cannot afford to make a mistake; if he gets injured, he could be sent to the hospital at full health.

However, the situation on the battlefield is extremely difficult to control, and unexpected events often occur.

A foul gust of wind swept from behind Longbo, the stench of venom and blood almost touching the back of his neck.

Longbo felt a chill run down his spine. He turned around again, not having time to gather power for his warhammer, and unleashed a fierce attack.

"Thump!"

The warhammer struck flesh with a dull thud, and the surrounding rain seemed to pause, revealing the enormous shape of the creature.

Hydra, with his head severed, staggered and fell on the hilltop. Although he was dizzy, his injuries were not serious, and he quickly glared at Longbo with a ferocious look.

Behind it, a spear pinned one of its heads to the ground, its neck covered with bite marks from fangs.

Clearly, in order to escape and fight back, Hydra bit off one of its own heads.

"It's a vicious serpent," Longbo commented, then gripped his warhammer tightly and began to gather energy once more.

But just as Warhammer was once again enveloped in leaping light, preparing for a tense and exciting one-on-two battle like Guiman, he was struck in the shoulder by a high-pressure water jet, which cut a deep gash in his thick bone armor.

The tremendous impact caused him to stagger; although he was not actually injured, he almost fell over.

On a distant mountaintop, the Xiangliu tree stood guard, its gaping maws and chilling vertical pupils fixed intently on Longbo's movements.

Longbo quickly steadied himself and moved to a position where he could see the entire field clearly. Only then did he realize that the ground beneath his feet had become muddy, and the sound of rushing torrents could be heard from the canyon-like cracks.

It was only then that he realized Typhon's torrential rains had this effect...
