Monsters: Evolving from Titans to Ancient Gods
Chapter 20 Study
In the volcanic region of the Earth's core, Longbo's figure appeared without warning, returning to this world.
Upon his return, he did not release the items from the Rainbow Demon Realm. Instead, he went directly to the edge of a riverbank and removed his face armor once again.
Longbo crouched down, lowered his gaze to the babbling river, and realized that the mod on his body had also disappeared, and his subtly styled face had returned to its original form.
But the lightness he still felt in his body told him that the changes brought about by the mod had not completely disappeared.
Realizing this, Longbo then tried to move his body in the volcano to conduct in-depth tests on his own body.
After a ten-minute test, during which Longbo left the entire area in a mess, he reached a conclusion.
While not as terrifying in terms of strength as it was in the One Piece world, it still retains some of its former power. Its movements and mobility are incredibly agile, far surpassing its previous self, making it seem unlike a Titan weighing 60,000 to 70,000 tons.
This is undoubtedly a significant improvement for Longbo. With mobility surpassing that of the red-haired gorilla and the addition of a charged particle cannon with an ultra-long range, he could even say that he is not afraid of any Titan except the Snow Demon.
After calming his thoughts, Longbo released everything from the Rainbow Magic Realm.
The carcass of the rabbit-headed sea king lay quietly on the ground, while warty dogs greedily devoured its flesh, some even burrowing inside its body to feed.
Upon seeing the environment they had returned to, and with Longbo's figure appearing before them, the wartdogs whimpered and stopped eating, making room for Longbo.
Although they already knew that Longbo did not eat, their long survival experience and instincts drove them to give priority to the leader of the tribe.
But Longbo clearly didn't care about any of that. He merely glanced at them and then ignored them, striding over the corpse of the Red Reaper to the buildings and items he had obtained from the town and the giant's ship.
Scattered buildings and a batch of supplies came into view, including a lot of giant cloth and some weapons, mostly heavy warhammers and double-edged Viking axes.
As for the buildings, they were basically human workshops, blacksmith shops, and weapon shops.
Longbo placed them all next to a boulder, then sat down on the scorching ground and picked up the weapons, the giants, and the various notes from the human forging workshops, attempting to analyze and learn from them.
These things would undoubtedly be of great help to Longbo in his attempts to make weapons. Although no one taught him step by step, these tools, notes and weapon patterns could provide Longbo with very good references.
With plenty of time, nothing will be a problem.
In short, it was an unexpected bonus of the mission; he hadn't realized he would happen to encounter both a human city and giant ships.
The wartdog beside him pounced on the sea king's corpse once again, feasting greedily and eagerly.
Food was plentiful, so they didn't fight over it like they used to, ending up badly injured. This was the kind of life they had always dreamed of.
The enormous carcass displayed in the volcanic area attracted the attention of many predators, who flocked to the area.
The giant, serpentine reptiles known as War Bats glided through the sky, their wings flapping with bone spikes, descending steadily. When they saw that only a pack of wartdogs were feeding on the massive carcass, they pounced down.
Although they are advanced predators in this inner world with a wide diet, they are not short of food.
However, under normal circumstances, given a readily available and fresh carcass, they would not mind temporarily serving as scavengers.
Moreover, the colossal beast displayed in the Crimson World is unbelievably large, clearly indicating a high level of life; consuming its flesh and blood would undoubtedly bring unexpected benefits.
As they approached the volcanic area, several kilometers away, unlike the fluctuations of the subterranean super-species, the war bats' ferocious faces revealed an inescapable greed.
They sensed the radiation fluctuations from Titan.
Titan flesh and blood are extremely attractive to them, but Titans are far more powerful than most life forms in the Earth's core, so very few creatures can rival them.
But the situation is different now. It is already dead. No matter how powerful it was over the past billions of years, it can only become food now.
One of the war bats fell from the sky, its body, over a hundred meters long, undulating and casting shadows through its dark red wing membranes, which were stretched open by bone spurs, almost obscuring the sky.
The war bats opened their massive jaws and lunged forward, their chilling fangs and fierce eyes flashing with a malice that sent chills down the spines of many creatures, as they tried to drive away the wartdogs surrounding the corpse.
The roar from the sky alerted the wartdogs, who stopped eating and exposed their bloodied heads, howling menacingly back at the war bats.
They converged from all directions of the corpse, forming a swarm, and roared madly at the three war bats.
Near the distant boulder, Longbo turned his gaze away from the objects in front of him upon hearing the sound, looked up at the source of the sound, and took in everything.
What came into view were three serpentine behemoths falling from the sky, crashing into the sea king's corpse with a dull thud. Their serpentine bodies moved quickly, coiling above the corpse and spreading their wings to appear even larger.
"Is that a Naruto?"
Longbo looked at the giant beast in front of him thoughtfully. He remembered that this seemed to be the subterranean super species that almost killed the handsome guy on Skull Island in the movie.
The giant beasts seemed oblivious to the fact that Longbo was nearby, still confronting the wartdog and showing no sign of backing down over the corpse beneath them.
Perhaps realizing that they had Longbo backing them up, the wartdogs now displayed an arrogant attitude that was not typical of small and medium-sized predators, becoming unusually aggressive.
Hoof-like claws left deep grooves in the volcanic rock, volcanic ash that had been dormant on the surface for hundreds of millions of years rose up, and angry, brutal roars echoed one after another.
During the standoff, Lombard also noticed that many of the wartdog puppies would occasionally glance at him while barking.
"..."
"Perhaps this is what happens when a dog bullies its master."
As Longbo thought this, he reached out and picked up a heavy warhammer that looked like it was used by a giant over fifty meters tall from the boulder, and weighed it in his hand.
The four pupils of the visor contracted, and the magnetic field and color vision focused and aimed simultaneously, causing a heavy warhammer weighing hundreds of tons to fly out of Longbo's hands.
"Whoosh..."
The square warhammer burst through the atmosphere with a deafening sonic boom, leaving a visible sonic trajectory behind it, and instantly struck the head of one of the giant beasts.
The moment the heavy warhammer made contact with the behemoth's head, it created a powerful shockwave that twisted the behemoth's head, shattered its scales, and broke its thick fangs, sending them flying high into the air along with the splattered blood.
boom!
With a deafening roar, the war bats fell from the sea king's corpse, crashing heavily onto the volcanic surface along with shattered metal fragments, sending tremors throughout the volcanic region.
The sudden change stunned all the giant beasts. When the other two war bats turned to look at the source of the anomaly, they realized that the Titan fluctuations they felt were not from the corpses beneath them.
Faced with this situation, a sudden idea popped into their not-so-bright minds.
be cheated.
But it was too late to reverse the situation. The wartdogs had launched an attack with overwhelming force, and the pressure was like a mountain collapsing.
Longbo glanced at the chaotic scene in the distance, then lowered his head again, fiddling with the small objects in front of him, occasionally picking up a piece of metal ore and chewing it, as if everything in the distance had nothing to do with him.
He ignored the chaos not far away and began to examine the tiny things in front of him closely.
Although human notes were too insignificant to him, adjusting his vision was not difficult for a Titan with six "cameras".
He also had many ways to solve the problem of turning the pages of a book, such as plucking a few hairs from a wartdog.
The language and text recognition capabilities that mods provide still exist, solving the biggest problem in reading.
