The Necromancer's Church Management Manual
Chapter 32 Summoner
"The spirit Adrian requests to sign a spirit contract with you. Do you agree?"
"Undead? Adrian? Undead Pact," Garr muttered to himself.
Adrian was an unfamiliar name, at least not in Andrew's memory.
But he knew very well that the undead and the dead were not the same.
Undead are just a group of dead people with some memories; they are completely incapable of disobeying their master's orders.
The spirit of the dead indicates that he had a strong desire before his death, which made him insist on not dying.
Finally, there's the Undead Pact.
The necromancer contract is an equal relationship between the two parties, and either party can terminate this equal relationship, just like his previous necromancer contract with His Majesty Edmund.
The necromancer's pact, on the other hand, is a relationship of enslavement, where the necromancer must unconditionally obey and execute all of Garr's commands.
If Garr signs a necromance with him, it means Adrian will become his henchman, but in return, Garr will need to fulfill his unfinished wishes.
Gar scratched his ear, pondered for a moment, and finally made up his mind:
"agree!"
He could sense that Adrian would be a great asset to him.
After all, he had already reached Lv30, and the being who could sign a contract with him in reverse must be quite powerful.
As Garr finished speaking, a new magic circle appeared in his hand and entered the skull's forehead.
The skull's empty eye sockets erupted with blue and white flames the instant the magic circle entered, burning fiercely.
Garr's level has now reached Lv31.
Adrian propped himself up and leaned slightly forward:
"Praise be to death, Andrew."
Garr opened the church's management manual, and the characters on it jumped around rapidly, revealing the other party's information.
[Undead: Adrian]
【Contract: Undead Contract】
[Rank: Lv43 (Diamond)]
[Identity: Prince of the Kingdom of Vesta]
[Faith: The Triune God]
[Class: Summoner]
[Blessed by: Swift Leopard, Wild Bull, Dragon Turtle]
A Diamond-level Summoner, very strong.
The Kingdom of Vesta is a nation that has already perished.
Prince, is that right?
Garr looked at Adrian and asked:
"What is your wish?"
"Destroy the Kingdom of Slo." The soul fire in Adrian's eyes flickered slightly.
-
It was completely dark when Gal looked towards the Temple of War in the distance; it was already seven o'clock in the evening.
At this moment, he was in a sorry state, and his monk's robes were torn in several places.
However, this could not conceal his joy at his great success.
He returned to the Church of Light, where Selena sat drowsily by the fireplace, reading a book.
When she saw Gar approaching, she stood up and walked to his side.
"You look exhausted. Are you injured?"
"I'm fine." Gal waved his hand and plopped down in a chair.
Selena thoughtfully took out a glass of water and poured a glass of water for Gar.
"Are you hungry? We ate dinner quite early, and it's gotten cold now. Let me heat it up for you."
She made a move to go out.
"Wait a minute," Garr interrupted, "There's no need for that."
Let me first give an overview of today's situation.
Gar opened his notebook and began to review the events.
"Although Meleson did not come out to obstruct me during today's sermon, I encountered Meleson's men when I went to the Water Moon Dungeon."
Selena's heart tightened: "The people Melissa sent..."
“I fought with him, and I won,” Gal continued. “From him, I learned that he has an accomplice, Claude, who is currently monitoring us. I know his next plan is to poison the porridge we’re given out tomorrow.”
"Um, if we talk like this, won't Claude hear me?"
"No." Gard finished his drink in one gulp, then said calmly, "Because he no longer has the chance to hear it."
Outside the city of Dusk, after seeing Gal return to the church, Claude went to the agreed location to wait for Smithson.
Smithson did indeed arrive, and Claude immediately smelled the strong stench of blood on him.
"Smithson..." Claude immediately took a few steps back cautiously. The spot where he had been standing was now occupied by Smithson's bone spear.
If he hadn't dodged, that shot would have hit him squarely in the chest.
Seeing the bloodstains all over his chest, Claude's face showed a look of pity:
Goodnight, Smithson.
Smithson's pale face remained expressionless; he simply spoke:
Goodnight, Claude.
Claude was a necromancer with many uses, but he had little combat ability. He ran through the snow towards the inner city.
Smithson showed no mercy and pierced him from behind.
Claude coughed up blood, and a gray-white circular magic circle rose from the ground. Instantly, a bloody hole appeared in Smithson's abdomen as well.
Smithson felt no pain at all, but Claude was already convulsing in pain, lying on the ground and crawling with difficulty.
After a long while, as if he had come to terms with it, he turned to look at Smithson, who was gradually approaching, and spoke with difficulty:
"Do you want to remain a necromancer forever, or... shall I give you... a release?"
"I..." Smithson paused, unable to answer.
"Flame...Explosion..."
A massive rock ball fell from the sky and engulfed Claude instantly.
There was no spectacular explosion, only silence.
The grayish-white magic circle also disappeared completely.
Vinia walked slowly over, her mouth clicking as she squeezed out two words:
"Let's go..."
Smithson looked at Vinia, then down at Cloud, who had turned to ashes, and slowly spoke:
"Let's go, report back."
-
Garr continues to review the situation:
"Just to be on the safe side, we need to take samples of the food for poison testing tomorrow to confirm its safety."
"Next up is the Archbishop of the Temple of War. The reason he suddenly agreed to cooperate with me today is because he also learned about His Majesty Edmund's will."
"Although we don't know his specific purpose, he must have had many methods to become an archbishop. He is not as mild-mannered as he appears on the surface, otherwise he would not have killed homeless people in the street."
Gar nodded, mentally reviewing whether he had overlooked anything.
Selena watched him silently, his brow furrowed, for a long time before she spoke:
"Gal, I don't think you need to be so tense. The church is developing rapidly, and everything is moving in a good direction."
"Yes, you're right." Gar rubbed his temples, realizing he had indeed been overthinking things.
He now has a sense of emptiness, like he's been too busy during the week and doesn't know what to do when he has free time.
"By the way, Gar, there were a lot of homeless people and children at church today." Selena lowered her head and rubbed her fingers together.
"I've been thinking about opening a church school. Didn't you say before that I'd be good at being a teacher or something...?"
"Be confident, Selena." Gar grabbed Selena's shoulder:
"Yes, church schools are also an indispensable part of society; they must be established."
