Becoming a god starts with enhancing fire arrows.

The recruit, now invisible, has short, light pink hair, a small nose, a slightly pointed chin, and smiling, red-amber eyes.

Most notably, she had a pair of creamy white cat ears that were lively and adorable.

Reese!

Avira instantly recognized this mid-level Soul Blade user, whom Rhodes had nearly killed in a fight to barely manage to severely injure.

Why did she come?

And didn't she have a deal with Cassandra? Why would she attack the goblins?

Just as Avira was lost in thought, Reese appeared behind the goblin mage like a ghost, and the invisible, transparent blade in her hand flashed and plunged diagonally into the goblin mage's throat.

The goblin mage didn't even have time to turn his head before he felt an unbearable pain in his brain and neck at the same time.

The next second, his body went limp and he collapsed to the ground.

Reese's little face showed a look of disgust. She grabbed the thin, silver staff that was still standing on the ground with her left hand, and then kicked the goblin mage's corpse away.

He then carefully checked his boots for any traces of goblin green blood.

"What?"

"Are there reinforcements from humanity?"

Seeing that the back row had vanished in an instant, the two goblin warriors immediately lost their desire to continue restraining the group.

They simultaneously swung their two giant clubs at Avira, trying to create an opportunity to retreat.

Seeing Avira jump away, he immediately turned and ran away.

But Reese behind them wasn't about to let them get away.

She quickly caught up with one of the goblin warriors, her mind blade tracing an invisible path through the air as it headed straight for the warrior's throat.

The goblin warrior was surprised by Reese's speed and hurriedly raised his giant club to block, but the psychic blade cut a mark on the club.

Reese's lips curled up, and she cruelly stabbed her left staff directly into the opponent's left eye!

"Ah!!" The goblin warrior's scream lasted less than a second before blood spurted from its throat again.

Seeing that he couldn't escape, the other goblin warrior roared and, wielding his giant club, charged at Reese with a do-or-die mentality.

With the agility of a cat, Kressi took advantage of the inconvenience of heavy weapons and leaped lightly behind the goblin warrior, her mind blade piercing straight through his heart.

"As a warrior, not wearing armor deserves to be killed," Reese muttered, looking at the few drops of goblin blood that had somehow splattered on her right hand.

Suppress the instinct to clean with your tongue.

Avira raised her greatsword, watching the cat-eared girl with unknown motives warily.

"What do you want?"

"Me? Of course I'm here to help," Reese said matter-of-factly.

She looked at Rhodes and Paril, who were dealing with the enemies surrounding them: "If we don't hurry up and break through, it will be too late."

Rhodes had, of course, noticed the situation earlier, but he had no room for hesitation.

Time is running out.

The enemy's encirclement was gradually taking shape, and the goblin reinforcements were not yet known when they would return. There was simply no time to care what Reese had come for.

Let's try a different approach.

If Reese really wanted to kill them, the three of them, surrounded by goblins, would have no chance to resist.

With this in mind, Rhodes decided to ignore Reese and prioritize breaking through.

"West!"

Rhodes fired three flaming arrows, which then exploded violently.

Paril immediately followed up with a fireball to open up the gap.

Seeing this, Avira chose to trust Rhodes's orders, keeping an eye on Reese while leading the way.

"Carry Paril and run towards the jungle!" Rhodes gave the order again, while maintaining his sword song state.

Four figures burst out of the goblin encirclement like a sharp sword.

They fought and retreated along the way, soon leaving the edge of the camp and disappearing into the dense jungle next to it.

Scattered magical attacks were flying in from behind.

However, if there is a priest in the team, getting hit once or twice is not a big deal.

Soon, the sporadic attacks from behind turned into faint curses.

Three and a half figures walked almost side by side in the jungle.

Avira carried Paril in the middle, with Rhodes and Reese on either side.

Just as Rhodes finished drinking the fifth mana potion, Reese spoke first:

"Alright, that's enough. We can't hear any pursuers anymore."

Rhodes and Avira both stopped in their tracks.

Rhodes drew his rapier, and Avira, wielding a greatsword in one hand and Paril in the other, stood in serious confrontation with him.

Paril didn't recognize the wanderer in front of her, but gently tugged at Ivyra's left hand, wanting to get down.

"Don't be so nervous, here, this is for you."

Reese tossed her slender staff to Rhodes, who stared straight at her without moving.

The silver-white staff fell to the ground with a thud.

Rhodes was afraid there was something wrong with the staff, or that his opponent might launch a sneak attack while he was distracted by catching the staff.

Reese pouted and tried to take a step closer, but was stopped by Ivira's greatsword.

"Is this how you treat your savior?" she asked with a smile.

"Thank you," Rhodes said.

"Thank you!" Paril added.

Avira brandished her greatsword: "What do you want?"

To everyone's surprise, Reese suddenly put on a pitiful look, staring at Rhodes with her large, ruby-like eyes: "I just wanted to help you~"

"If you could just turn around and leave now, that would be the biggest help you could give me." Rhodes remained vigilant.

"Hmm..." Reese paused for a moment, then said, "Are you worried that I've made some kind of deal with Cassandra to harm you?"

She waved her hand again, as if to explain, "The ambush last time was only because it involved a transaction between our tribes. I didn't really have a strong desire to kill you."

Not really? Very?

Rhodes did not respond.

"I just wanted to apologize for the attack last time. Hey, is there still a spot available in your squad?"

Still, no one answered.

Seeing that the three of them were still eyeing her so menacingly, Reese sighed, "Fine, I'll leave then."

As she spoke, she slowly turned around.

He had just taken one step when he suddenly turned around.

He swung the colorless, transparent blade of thought at Avira's breastplate.

Avira let the psychic blade smash into her armor, took a step forward, and raised her greatsword.

Reese was just bluffing.

She took a side step, circled around Paril, and reached out her right hand to stroke her hair.

He then smiled, dodged Avira's attack, and jumped away.

"ah!"

Paril looked at the green liquid on her silver hair and exclaimed in surprise, "Oh no, am I poisoned?"

"It's probably not poison, it's goblin blood," Rhodes explained.

He really didn't understand why Reese had come.

Once he was sure the other party had left, he turned off the sword song and downed another mana potion.

Sword Song's mana potion consumption is still terrifying.

Avira looked in the direction Reese had left, then turned to Rhodes: "She'll definitely come back for you."

Rhodes gave a wry smile: "Let them look for me then. I'm already got a lot on my plate, so what if I have too many lice to resist the itch?"

As he spoke, he picked up the silver staff that gleamed with a metallic sheen from the ground, the tip of which was still stained with goblin blood.

Regardless, I do lack a suitable staff.
