After marrying Lin Yuntang, Lan Shu rarely thought about that person anymore.

In the past, when I thought of him, my feelings were always very complicated.

It could be resentment or sadness.

But now everything has suddenly calmed down.

It's just bad luck that she met a not-so-good man.

It's nothing serious.

"What are you thinking about?"

"It's nothing." Lan Shu only came to her senses when she heard Lin Yuntang's voice. She looked up at the man and said, "I just miss the past a little."

Lin Yuntang had somehow climbed onto the roof, and the two sat side by side on the roof, with a cold, lonely moon overhead.

"Would you like some?" Lin Yuntang brought up a pot of wine. Although the red seal had not yet been opened, a hint of wine aroma could be smelled.

Lan Shu nodded. "What kind of wine?"

"Pear Blossom Wine," Lin Yuntang confessed truthfully. "We still had several jars of wine left over from our wedding."

As Lan Shu drank her wine, she thought to herself, "My husband is really frugal."

"The Book of Orchids".

"Hmm?" Lan Shu responded subconsciously, then said unhappily, "What did you promise me on our wedding night?"

Upon hearing this, Lin Yuntang's ears immediately turned red. "Little...little darling."

Lan Shu was satisfied. "What is it?"

"I really want to go to the Northern Frontier with you," Lin Yuntang said. "If Prince Cheng agrees, I think His Majesty won't refuse either."

"Didn't we discuss this before?" Lan Shu said. "Every year from the summer solstice to the autumn equinox, I can come to the southwest to be with you."

Lin Yuntang lowered his eyes. "But I don't want to be separated from you."

Lan Shu chuckled, "Look at me and say it again."

Lin Yuntang then raised his head, gazing at his husband with deep affection.

He said firmly, "My darling, I don't want to be separated from you."

Lan Shu was in a great mood. She put her arm around his shoulder and kissed the man on the cheek.

"Wow, you're getting better and better at talking lately," Lan Shu said. "Keep it up."

Lin Yuntang pinched his husband's waist with some displeasure. "Little darling, I'm talking to you about serious matters."

"No, your presence in the North will distract me." Lan Shu's gaze swept down to the man's crotch. "If you're thinking about this every day, you won't be able to think about anything else."

Lin Yuntang's face flushed bright red. "You're a boy!"

Lan Shu: "Yes, so what?"

Lin Yuntang: "...No uttering such vulgar or offensive language."

Lan Shu rolled her eyes. "Ha, who cares about you?"

"Little darling." Lin Yuntang lifted his husband's chin and forcibly moved his gaze away.

Lan Shu leaned down and kissed the man's lips in that position, "When I'm not in the Southwest, you're not allowed to go out and flirt with other women."

Lin Yuntang said, "No, that won't happen."

"If you take a concubine, I will kill you," Lan Shu said fiercely.

Lin Yuntang took the initiative and embraced her husband, kissing him passionately.

Lan Shu was breathless from the kisses, her bright eyes seeming to hold a pool of spring water.

"My darling, I only want you."

Lan Shu felt it was incredibly unladylike to be kissed until she was exhausted, so she started bringing up old grievances: "I don't know which heartless person wanted me to be their concubine. They were shameless enough to marry their own brother's sweetheart."

Lin Yuntang explained with difficulty, "Su Han was in such a bad state at the time that she mistook me for Lao Wu."

"At the time, I also thought that Lao Wu was dead, and I was afraid that Su Han had gone with him, so I didn't explain and let him misunderstand."

"I have no improper thoughts about him, nor have I ever thought of marrying him. I just want to take care of him in place of Lao Wu, at least to keep him alive." Lin Yuntang paused, "And I have never thought of making you my concubine."

Lin Yuntang's original words were that he could not be allowed to have a wedding for the time being.

Lan Shu also thought of this, and said, "Without a wedding, what's the difference between me and a concubine? Isn't this just making me a concubine?"

Lin Yuntang: "...I won't do it again, please forgive me."

Lan Shu also felt that she was being a bit unreasonable, but as a super beautiful woman, it was understandable for her to act a little.

"Alright, I'll forgive you for now," Lan Shu said casually, "but don't let it happen again."

Lin Yuntang nodded seriously, "Okay."

Lan Shu was pleased with her obedient husband and leaned in for a kiss.

Newlyweds are always exceptionally affectionate.

"I've already discussed it with Prince Cheng. We'll spend some time in the southwest before returning to the north," Lan Shu suggested. "Why don't we take this opportunity to have a baby?"

Ideally, I'd like to have a baby as adorable as a pearl!

Lin Yuntang's Adam's apple bobbed, his voice slightly hoarse, "When will you give birth?"

Lan Shu chuckled, "Of course, the sooner the better."

As her husband carried the beautiful woman in red back to their room, she was still contemplating what methods to use next.

As it turns out, the great beauty didn't need to do anything; her every smile and frown was enough to make Master Lin infatuated.

Lan Shu never imagined she would get married, let alone that one day she would willingly give birth to a child for a man.

As dawn broke, Lan Shu was so tired that he could barely keep his eyes open.

He mumbled a name in his sleep.

"My husband."

The man beside him put his arm around him and said, "I'm here."

"If you change your mind, I really will kill you..." Lan Shu muttered softly, and soon fell into a deep sleep.

The man pulled up the blankets and covered the beautiful woman's smooth, fair shoulders.

Lin Yuntang had always known that the seemingly resourceful young man was actually extremely insecure.

He would keep asking, "Will you love me?"

Will you always love me?

Do you only love me?

Lin Yuntang would always answer him patiently.

"I love you."

I will always love you.

I only love you.

By sheer coincidence, when Lan Shu was pregnant, Su Han was also pregnant.

The two pregnant men, having nothing to do on a regular basis, decided to go to the temple to offer incense and pray to the Bodhisattva.

It just so happened that Lin Wu was on leave, so he went with two pregnant men.

Lin Si was rather pitiful; he was still at the drill ground leading new recruits and couldn't accompany his husband.

There are no temples near Wudubao; you have to take a horse-drawn carriage over two mountains to find one.

Lanshu, however, saw someone in the temple whom he would never forget for the rest of his life.

A man who should have died in the desert.

The man was wearing a kasaya, and the ordination scars on his head looked like they had been there for a long time.

He now looks kind and gentle, almost like a monk.

Their eyes met; one remained calm, while the other could not hide his emotions.

Lan Shu stroked her belly, feeling completely at peace.

After Su Han devoutly finished praying to the Bodhisattva, Lin Wu helped her up, and she saw Lan Shu staring blankly at the abbot.

"What's wrong?" Su Han asked.

Lan Shu shook her head. "It's nothing. I still need to ask the abbot for a reading. You can go ahead."

Su Han was very good at reading people's expressions, and seeing that he was unwilling to say more, she stopped asking.

"Then we'll wait for you in the meditation room at the back," Su Han said. "We can buy some vegetarian food while we're at it."

Lan Shu nodded.

Lin Wu frowned. "Are you really alright?"

Although Lan Shu was skilled in martial arts, he was heavily pregnant and had no way to resist danger.

Lan Shu said, "Hmm."

Lin Wu and his wife then left, but they didn't dare go far, fearing that Lan Shu might encounter danger and have no way to call for help.
