Super God Academy: Kabuto

Chapter 67 Convergence

In a distant cave, Liu Chuang, who was resting, also heard the eerie annihilation sound and felt the ground tremble.

"You stay inside, I'll go check it out!" He picked up his axe and rushed out of the cave.

As soon as he stepped out of the cave, he saw a dazzling seven-colored sword light, like the first ray of light after the creation of the world, silently streaking across the sky, its target being the Demon One hidden in the clouds!

Not far from Qi Lin, a red figure hovered silently in the air. He was clad in heavy red armor that resembled biological matter, and his pair of icy blue compound eyes coldly gazed at the sky, as if piercing through layers of spatial barriers and locking onto Morgana inside the demon wings.

Morgana, through the observation system of Demon One, could also clearly see the red figure in the lower left corner of the screen. He held a strangely shaped longsword that looked like it was made up of countless insect parts, and behind him unfolded magnificent yet dangerous seven-colored energy wings.

It was as if a voice, transcending space, resounded directly in Morgana's mind:

【MAXIMUM HYPER TYPHOON!】

The red figure brandished its sword.

A seven-colored sword light, condensed to its ultimate form and containing power beyond the rules of the mortal world, surged forward silently. Wherever it passed, space itself groaned in agony, as if it were about to be torn apart!

"Damn it! It's that trick again! Activate maximum power to evade! Karl! Help me!" Morgana roared.

With the combined effects of Death God Karl's remote-assisted calculations using the Great Clock and the Demon One's own computations, the Demon Wings narrowly made an extraordinary spatial jump, almost grazing the edge of the seven-colored sword light, and fled the original airspace in a sorry state.

In the distant depths of space, the Demon One, having just completed its jump and still crackling with electricity, emerged.

"Karl, you unlucky kid!" Morgana roared, still shaken. "I almost lost everything! What's wrong with that Lin Yu?"

"According to the Great Clock's detection, Lin Yu's original energy signal does indeed still exist somewhere in the universe and has not dissipated. The one that appeared on Earth just now... may not be his original body."

"Damn! This guy's power is this strong! You're telling me it's not him? Are you talking about a ghost?!"

"I haven't actually encountered or analyzed his power structure, so I can't make an accurate judgment. My advice to you is to stay away from that galactic sniper named Qi Lin for now."

"Karl, what about...Keisha...you haven't sorted things out on your end either, have you?"

On the other end of the communication, Karl was unusually silent for a moment before slowly replying, "Holy Keisha, there are no problems."

His tone remained calm, but that brief silence seemed to contain a deeper message.

Qi Lin looked up at the gradually fading red figure in the sky. The moment their gazes met, the icy blue compound eyes seemed to soften for a moment. She could almost feel the affirmation and protection contained in that gaze, and a bright smile of relief mixed with a touch of pride finally appeared on her tense face. She waved vigorously towards the sky.

The red figure nodded slightly to her, then vanished completely into the air, as if it had never existed, like ink dissolving in water.

The crisis was over, but the smoke of battle lingered. Qi Lin composed herself and turned to the members of the Wild Wolf Special Forces and her comrades who had just endured a fierce battle.

"We must keep moving forward and find Chuangzi and the others as soon as possible!"

The group set off again, trekking arduously through the vast mountains and forests. Following intermittent signals, they finally located the entrance to a hidden cave.

Zhang Youdan, the captain of the Wild Wolf Special Forces, signaled everyone to remain vigilant. He then stepped forward and, facing the deep cave entrance, called out in a friendly voice with a distinctive military accent:

"Hey bro inside! Want to see the sunrise?!"

The sound echoed at the cave entrance. Inside the cave, Liu Chuang and the others, who were resting around the faint firelight, instantly became alert and grabbed their weapons. Liu Chuang gestured for the others to be quiet, then shouted in a gruff voice towards the outside:

"Who?! Who is it?!"

A response came quickly from outside the cave, this time a clear and familiar female voice:

"Zhang Youdan, captain of the Wild Wolf Special Forces!" Then, the voice they had longed for rang out, "And me."

"It's Sister Qilin!" Rui Mengmeng was the first to exclaim in surprise.

A huge smile instantly spread across Liu Chuang's face, as if a tremendous burden had been lifted. He waved his hand and shouted, "Go! Get out! They're our own people!"

He strode out of the cave first, followed closely by Rui Mengmeng, He Weilan, and others. The long-awaited sunlight was a bit dazzling, and Liu Chuang squinted as he saw the dashing Qi Lin and a group of special forces soldiers who, though tired, had sharp eyes.

He immediately straightened his back and gave a solemn military salute, but his words carried a hint of self-deprecating bitterness:

"Oh dear... I'm sorry to have made such a fool of myself. Our Super Soldier Company has been beaten to a pulp, and we still need our brothers to come to our rescue."

Zhang Youdan immediately returned a standard military salute, his tone firm and resolute, filled with sincere admiration: "Not at all! Comrade Liu Chuang! You are all outstanding! Look at your Comrade Qilin, that battle just now was incredibly exciting! I believe that with you all here, we will definitely succeed!"

At this moment, the injured angel, Starry Sky, clutched her wound and staggered out. She glanced at the Super Soldier Corps and human warriors outside the cave, and her pure white wings instinctively unfurled, wanting to fulfill her angelic duty and fly away from this place. However, her injuries were too severe, and after flying only a few meters off the ground, she ran out of energy, cried out in alarm, and fell back down.

"Oh my god! Fanxing!" Liu Chuang reacted quickly, rushing forward and, though not catching her directly, blocking her from falling and preventing further injury. "You're not fully recovered yet, what are you doing!"

He looked at Fanxing's pale yet stubborn face, his tone becoming sincere: "Little sister, take my advice, why don't you come with us for now? It's very chaotic outside, where can you go alone? If you come with us, at least you'll have someone to look after you, and maybe we can even find out news about you angel sisters. You can't go on alone!"

Qi Lin stepped forward and softly advised, "Sister Fanxing, stay. It'll be safer if we act together."

Rui Mengmeng nodded vigorously, "Yes, yes, Sister Fanxing, let's go together!"

Looking at the concerned and sincere faces around her, and sensing the emptiness of dark energy within her, Fanxing remained silent for a moment before finally nodding gently: "...Okay, thank you."

"That's more like it!" Liu Chuang grinned, picked up his axe again, and glanced at his comrades from the Super Soldier Company, the Wild Wolf Special Forces members, and Angel Star who had temporarily stayed behind. A surge of pride welled up within him:

"Alright! Brothers and sisters! Our destination, North Star! Let's rendezvous with headquarters! Let's go!"

This special team, composed of super soldiers, human elites, and a temporarily fallen angel, embarks on a journey once again, bearing their wounds and hopes, resolutely marching towards the city that symbolizes resistance and the future.
