Super God Academy: Kabuto
Chapter 27 Class
Earth - Late Night Lena's Dormitory
"Goddess Lena! Goddess Lena!"
The urgent call pierced through her sleepiness. Lena rolled over in bed, irritably burying her head in the pillow: "Holy crap...who is it? I'm sleeping, Goddess!"
In the blurry vision, Yuan Li's figure appeared, bowing deeply, not even daring to raise his head.
"Goddess," Yuan Li maintained a respectful posture, but his voice carried an undeniable urgency, "the Taotie vanguard is approaching the solar system. They possess a clear will to destroy; war is inevitable. Should we... intervene?"
Lena rubbed her sleepy eyes and sat up, her silk robe slipping off her shoulders. She narrowed her eyes, scrutinizing her guardian before her, a dangerous glint in her voice:
"Do you... often peek at me while I'm asleep?"
Yuan Li trembled, lowering his head even further: "This subordinate dares not!"
"In my opinion, this is an extremely urgent and special situation." He tried to steer the conversation back on track, his voice filled with worry. "If the goddess does not make thorough preparations soon, we may... fail in our duty."
"I know," Lena waved her hand, interrupting his anxiety, "Pan Zhen definitely sent someone to watch me from the shadows. Go back and tell him."
She jumped out of bed, walked to the window, gazed at the night sky above the earth, and her tone became firm and resolute:
"I'm very happy on Earth, he doesn't need to worry about me. Also, compile the information you gave about the Gluttonous Beasts into a detailed report and send it to me."
"Let's go back."
"Yes! I take my leave." Yuan Li felt as if he had been granted a pardon and bowed as he withdrew.
Just as he turned to leave, Lena's languid yet authoritative voice rang out again:
"Hey, Mao Shen."
Yuan Li suddenly stopped in his tracks.
"From now on..." Lena's voice carried an undeniable warning, "Don't be too bold."
Yuan Li, with his back to her, took a deep breath:
"This humble general... dares not!"
Before he finished speaking, his body flashed with energy, and he instantly disappeared from the room.
Silence returned to the dormitory, leaving only Lena standing by the window. Her earlier languor had vanished; she gazed at the night sky, her eyes sharp as a knife. In the distance, among the stars, the shadow of war was quietly approaching.
A ray of sunlight streamed through the porthole and fell on the classroom floor of the Giant Gorge. The members of the Super Soldier Company sat neatly at their desks, a rare sight, while Rose, dressed in military uniform, stood on the podium.
"Starting today, we will learn micro-wormhole transport technology." She looked around at the team members with different expressions below the stage, her tone calm but direct, "Considering that there are liberal arts students, police academy students, vocational high school students, and... farmers and hoodlums among you."
Liu Chuang immediately stuck his neck out in his seat and shouted, "I'm not doing this anymore!"
Zhao Xin put his hands behind his head and rocked his chair: "You're talking to me~"
"Can't you listen attentively in class?" Rose glanced at them, and the two instantly fell silent.
"So," she continued, tapping her fingertip on the control panel, updating the database for each person's black armor in sync, "I know you don't understand complex spatial calculations. Your dark alloy armors are equipped with powerful dark matter computing clouds that can assist you in completing most calculations. But the core algorithmic logic needs to be constructed and understood by you yourselves."
The holographic projection behind her lit up, revealing a seemingly empty space model.
"The basic principle of micro wormhole technology is that countless micro-space wormholes, invisible to the naked eye, are scattered throughout the space we live in."
As she explained, the space in the projection was magnified, revealing countless tiny ripples that constantly appeared and disappeared like bubbles.
"Therefore, we first need to learn to activate the 'Dark Eye'." A glimmer of light flashed in Rose's eyes. "It can recognize light and colors outside the normal spectrum, allowing us to clearly 'see' the ripples in these spaces—we call them 'insect clouds'."
She looked at her teammates below the stage, who were trying their best to understand.
"Next, we will capture and utilize them by driving dark energy. The basic driving mechanism of dark energy should already be activated by the super genes within your bodies."
The projection changes again, showing how, from the perspective of the dark plane, one can guide their own dark energy flow to touch and gather the "bubbles" of those spaces.
"In the dark matter space, you can not only 'see' wormholes, but also directly 'feel' the flow of dark energy. Using your innate super genes, drive this energy to slightly distort space, bringing together scattered wormholes to form stable channels through which matter can pass."
Just as Rose finished demonstrating the micro-wormhole transport and the classroom atmosphere became slightly more lively, an unusual ripple once again appeared in the space to the side of the classroom. This time, it was not as flamboyant as Rose's, but more restrained and precise, as if a rift had been silently cut open in the space itself.
Amidst the astonished gazes of the crowd, the Kabuto insect device, dark red in color and gleaming with a metallic sheen, silently emerged from the void. Ignoring everyone else, it flew directly to Qi Lin, gracefully circled her twice, and finally hovered lightly, landing on her shoulder.
A clear electronic voice echoed directly in the depths of Qi Lin's mind:
I'm going home tomorrow; there's a gift for me.
Qi Lin was taken aback at first, then a look of understanding and warmth flashed in her eyes. She nodded slightly, the movement so subtle that it was almost imperceptible.
After the message was delivered, the Kabuto insect instrument did not linger at all. Just like when it came, it disappeared into the void with a "whoosh," and the spatial fluctuations in the classroom subsided.
"Holy crap!" Zhao Xin was the first to react, practically jumping out of his seat. He rushed to Qi Lin's side, pointing to where the insect device had disappeared. "Qi Lin, what was that...what was that thing just now? Was it alive or a robot? That was so cool!"
Qi Lin looked at Zhao Xin and the other teammates who had gathered around, their faces full of curiosity, and explained softly, "That thing just now, my brother calls it the Kabuto insect maker. It... is very powerful."
"Then why did it suddenly run over?" Rui Mengmeng asked, blinking her big eyes. "Is your brother looking for you?"
Facing the probing gazes of the crowd, Qi Lin nodded, her tone calm yet carrying a barely perceptible hint of anticipation: "Yes, my brother asked me to go back tomorrow. He said... he has something for me."
