Chapter 23 How can we say we have no clothes? We share the same robes.
Sun Wukong slowly stood up, his gaze sharp and intense, landing on Liu Chuang. His gaze was heavy as a mountain, carrying the weight of a thousand years.
"That's enough." He spoke, his voice low yet clear, reaching everyone's ears. "Liu Chuang, I, Sun Wukong, swear to Heaven—if you stray from the righteous path, I will break your legs!"
Liu Chuang trembled. Facing this "Buddha" who embodied the spirit and strength of the nation, all his rebellious spirit and wishful thinking vanished. With a thud, he knelt straight down, his voice choked with emotion:
"I was foolish before! I did many terrible things! I, Liu Chuang, swear to Heaven today—" He suddenly looked up, meeting Sun Wukong's gaze, and spoke each word with resounding force:
"I will never stray from the right path! I will never betray my comrades!"
"Get up." Sun Wukong's voice softened, carrying a hint of barely perceptible approval.
Just then, dawn broke in the east, and a magnificent red sun leaped over the horizon, its golden rays showering down on every young soldier like a warm tide, gilding them with a sacred glow.
"Are you going to subdue demons and monsters?" Sun Wukong asked, gazing at the rising sun.
"They say it's... fighting aliens." Ge Xiaolun scratched his head, trying to explain using modern vocabulary.
"It's all the same." Sun Wukong shook his head slightly, his tone profound. "To harbor evil thoughts is to become a demon."
"But... how are we supposed to fight?" Rose asked, voicing the confusion in everyone's hearts.
"Try your best," Rose added, but the answer seemed so weak.
Upon hearing this, Sun Wukong smiled, a smile tinged with the world-weariness of someone who had seen through it all: "Trying hard to fight? You just don't know how, huh? Heh, even I, Old Sun... don't know either."
He abruptly changed the subject, his voice becoming distant and resonant:
"Did you know? In a thousand worlds, there might only be one where life takes on the form of humans. And only in the human world can... kindness and compassion grow."
He turned around, his gaze sweeping over every young and determined face, finally settling on the rising sun, as if making a promise to his distant master, and also as declaring to the younger generation before him:
"I, Old Sun, must protect it for my master!"
His voice echoed through the mountains, carrying an undeniable determination.
"Remember, this will be a... catastrophe."
Having said that, he strode towards the edge of the cliff, bathed in the increasingly intense sunlight, his entire figure seemingly ablaze. Gazing upon this land that needed protecting, he loudly recited an ancient war song, his voice transcending time, resonating with the warriors of a thousand years ago:
"How can we say we have no clothes? We share our robes with you!"
All the soldiers of the Super Soldier Company gazed at the Victorious Fighting Buddha, radiating endless glory in the morning sun, and unanimously and resolutely walked behind him. The sunlight stretched their shadows and Sun Wukong's shadows, merging them seamlessly, making them indistinguishable from one another.
Super God Academy, rooftop terrace.
As dawn broke through the clouds, golden light bathed the earth. Angel Yan and Lena stood side by side, gazing at this planet where a storm was brewing beneath the tranquil surface.
"Compassion has already come to this world," Angel Yan said slowly, her voice like the morning breeze, "and justice will surely remain."
Her gaze seemed to pierce through mountains and rivers, glimpsing a more distant future. A moment later, she withdrew her gaze and looked at the sunlight beside her:
"I will report the situation here truthfully to Holy Keisha."
Lena turned her head and met Angel Yan's gaze, replying briefly and solemnly, "Thank you."
Angel Yan nodded slightly, but then subtly changed the subject, her tone carrying a hint of amusement and deeper meaning: "Furthermore... there are also things belonging to us angels within the Galactic Force."
She observed Lena's reaction and continued, "Don't you guys plan to explore this further?"
"That thing... I can't develop it." Lena spread her hands, indicating her helplessness.
Angel Yan's red lips curved into a meaningful smile. She gracefully stepped forward, leaned close to Lena's ear, and whispered in a seductive and teasing voice that only the two of them could hear:
"Angelic hormones..."
She slightly distanced herself, looked into Lena's slightly widened eyes, and then revealed the answer with a soft laugh:
"Go and love him."
"Hehehe..." Laughter, like silver bells, rippled in the morning light.
Lena whirled around like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, her face a mask of disbelief and disgust: "Me? Me, love him? Love that loser? What a joke!"
Seeing her intense reaction, Angel Yan smiled leisurely, looking as if she had everything under control.
After venting her anger and calming down a bit, Lena thought for a moment, and then a meaningful smile appeared on her lips: "However... I don't mind being a matchmaker."
