Chapter 212 Void Invasion
The heart of the Shenhe civilization is now nothing but broken star rings and floating tombstones.
The massive, rhomboid space station wreckage slowly rotated in the void. The patterns on its surface, which once shone with the brilliance of the universe's most advanced technology, had long since faded and were now covered by a writhing, translucent, fleshy membrane. Beneath the membrane, intricate biological vessels could be vaguely seen pulsating, pumping some kind of dark energy to every corner of the ruins.
At the center of the ruins, the "Eternal Obelisk," carved from an ancient star core, still stands. However, its surface is now covered with eerie, dark-gold patterns that resemble interwoven blood vessels and nerve bundles. The patterns flicker at a fixed frequency, and each pulsation causes subtle folds in the surrounding space, as if this star field itself is being slowly pulled into a deeper, darker dimension.
Principal Kieran, using himself as a seal, continued the final resistance of the pale golden light membrane that enveloped the ruins, composed of countless sacred geometric symbols. However, the membrane was already covered with spiderweb-like black cracks, and from the depths of these cracks, a viscous, seemingly living shadow constantly seeped out, eroding the very essence of the membrane.
At the top of the obelisk, where the will of the Zilean had manifested, now floated a dark, ever-changing mass of matter. It had no fixed form; sometimes it resembled a rolling cloud, sometimes a transparent jellyfish-like outline, and sometimes a collection of countless tiny eyes. It was the High Priest of the Void Sea Clan who had invaded this time—"The Singer" Saldos. Its mission was not to fight, but to preside over this transdimensional "descent ritual."
Beneath Saldos, around the base of the obelisk, three hundred and sixty Void Sea Clan "Tide Speakers" knelt in a circle. Their forms resembled a hybrid of mermaid and octopus, their pale skin covered in fine scales, their heads devoid of facial features, only a constantly swirling, eerie blue vortex. They chanted in unison a hymn indescribable in any known language; the sound waves did not propagate through the air, but rather resonated directly with the spatial reference frequency.
As the hymn reached its climax, the dark gold patterns on the obelisk shone brightly!

The clear cracking sound did not originate from the material world, but rather resounded at the level of rules.
The pale golden membrane that Kilan had sealed was finally completely penetrated and pierced by darkness at a certain point.
A point.
An infinitely small "point," representing the breaching of the dimensional barrier, appeared in the void directly in front of the obelisk.
From this point onward, reality, like a clear pool stained with ink, is rapidly blackened and distorted. It's not a regular spatial rift, but a more thorough "realistic ulcer"—the spatial properties of that area are being rewritten, physical constants are becoming invalid, causal chains are collapsing, and it is gradually adapting to the rules from another dimension.
Saldos's shadowy body trembled violently, conveying an emotion mixed with fervor and exhaustion. Activating this "Scar of the Beginning," even with the aid of tens of thousands of years of spatial and temporal tension accumulated at the Divine River Ruins and the reverse energy released after the Kieran Seal was eroded, had nearly exhausted the life essence of all the Whirlwind Speakers it had brought. A third of the Whirlwind Speakers had already turned to ashes during the chanting, and the rest were withered and barely breathing.
But that's enough.
The "First Scar" has been opened, like the first anthill dug into a dam.
Next, the flood will find its own way out.
The moment the "Scar of the Beginning" stabilized, the first "sound" came from its absolutely dark depths.
It was a rustling sound, a piercing ache in the soul, a result of the friction of billions of carapaces, the scrambling of limbs, and the opening and closing of mouthparts. The sound did not travel through vibration, but rather was a kind of information pollution, resounding directly within the consciousness of all living beings who perceived the existence of the "trace."
The next moment, they arrived.
It wasn't a fleet of warships, nor was it a neat formation.
It's "trendy".
An endless, surging swarm of insects erupted from the "Scar of the Beginning"!
Their forms are bizarre and varied, but most follow the basic structure of arthropods, differing only in size, details, and additional bio-weapons. The smaller ones resemble hunting dogs, moving with ghostly speed, their carapaces displaying vibrant colors and possessing exceptional optical camouflage capabilities; their sharp mouthparts and appendages gleam with an eerie light capable of tearing through energy shields. The larger ones are like mountains, resembling centipedes or scorpions magnified a thousand times; their thick chitinous carapaces are covered with countless turret-like biological organs, spewing acid, plasma clusters, or high-speed bone spikes.
They had no formation, no tactics, only the most primal instincts to devour and destroy, and an extreme hatred for "non-void existence" deeply ingrained in their genes. The swarm of insects, like hungry black asphalt, instantly covered the entire airspace near the Divine River Ruins and spread wildly in all directions.
The first to suffer were the outer perimeter of the ruins, the automatically operating Divine River defense buoys that had not yet been completely eroded. The high-energy lasers fired from the buoys burned holes in the swarm of insects, but these holes were instantly filled by more insects. The swarm climbed onto the buoys, corroded their outer shells with acid, pried open their armor with their appendages, and burrowed inside, chewing and devouring the intricate Divine River creations from the inside out, turning them into nutrients for their own proliferation.
Some Zerg individuals underwent physical mutations after consuming specific artifacts created by the Divine River Technology. Paths of ghostly blue light, resembling Divine River runes, appeared on their carapaces, granting them new abilities such as short-range spatial jumps or energy deflection—the terrifying learning and evolutionary capabilities of the Void Zerg were beginning to emerge.
The vanguard of the insect swarm, like a swarm of sharks smelling blood, began to rush towards the nearest places with abundant life and traces of civilization, heading towards the front lines of the known universe.
About a minute after the swarm of insects emerged, the fluctuations of the "Scar of the Beginning" changed.
The rustling of insects was replaced by a deep, resonant roar, like countless mountains rubbing and moving deep within the earth's crust. The "ulceration" of space was further stretched and torn apart, becoming even more unstable, shimmering with an earthy yellow light with a heavy, textured quality.
Then, they "walked out".
Unlike the dazzling diversity of the Zerg, the Earth Royal Family members exhibit a strange sense of unity. The first to step out were hundreds of "colossi".
They average over a kilometer in height, resembling upright lizards or giant bears covered in heavy rock armor, but with more rugged and savage details. Their bodies are not covered by simple rock or shells, but by a dark, slowly flowing substance somewhere between crystal and metal, naturally etched with complex, earthy-yellow patterns, radiating a suffocating sense of "mass" and "gravitational disorder." Their movements appear slow, but each step actually compresses space; when their massive feet (or claws) land, visible ripples of distortion appear in the surrounding spacetime.
Following the colossi are even more royal units of various forms: there are the "Earth Devouring Worms," which meander like trains and have drill-like mouthparts; there are the "Sky Peak Beasts," which float in the air, are shaped like inverted mountains, and constantly scatter petrified spores from their bases; and there are the most numerous, resembling heavily armored rhinoceroses or wild boars, whose groups are powerful enough to shatter asteroids...
Unlike the Zerg, the Earth Sovereigns didn't spread wildly. After emerging from the "Traces," they began to systematically "establish themselves" around the colossi. The colossi lowered their massive heads and inserted some kind of organ into the void—not into matter, but into the spatial structure itself. Earthy-yellow ripples spread out from them, and wherever they passed, the "properties" of space began to change: becoming more "solid," more "heavy," and more repulsive to the energy flow of non-Earth Sovereign units. They were transforming this area into their "home ground"—the "Wasteland"—suitable for their battles.
A portion of the Zhenyue Soldiers and Earth-Eating Insects began their ascent into the depths of the Shenhe Ruins, where they had not yet been completely devoured. Their objective was clear—deep within the ruins' core, where the Shenhe civilization's core database of "dimensional technology" and "solutions to ultimate fears," sealed by Kilan's last remaining power, lay. The Void desired not only destruction, but also devouring and absorbing, especially the fruits of the Shenhe civilization's tens of thousands of years of research into the Void.
When the Zerg ravaged the land and the royal family established their domain, the third and final violent fluctuation of the "Scar of the Beginning" descended.
The previous chirping of insects and the sounds of the mountains were now replaced by an absolute silence.
It wasn't that there was no sound, but rather a silence where all sounds had been absorbed and soothed. A deep blue, almost black light emanated from the mark, and where the light passed, even the hiss of the insectoids and the footsteps of the royal family became blurred and distant.
The remaining whisperers of Saldos knelt in the direction of the mark, making the most devout kneeling gesture.
The main force of the Void Sea Clan... or rather, their true "original form," began to descend.
The first thing to flow out is the "sea".
It wasn't real water, but some kind of eerie blue substance somewhere between liquid, gas, and energy. It gushed forth from the rift, spreading rapidly, thickening and blurring space, distorting light, and severely interfering with or even falsifying sensor signals. This was the "domain" of the Void Sea Clan—the "Sea of Illusion." Within this "sea," sea-clan units thrived, their combat power multiplied, while non-sea-clan units suffered comprehensive sensory deprivation, energy erosion, and mental pollution.
Next up are the sea creature's combat units.
Unlike the ferocity of the Zerg and the solemnity of the Royals, the units of the Seafoes possess an eerie "elegance" and "mystery." There are the "Ghost Rays," which swim in swarms, resembling manta rays but with wingspans of hundreds of meters, capable of firing beams of mental disintegration; there are the "Dream Mothers," which lurk in the depths of the "sea," resembling giant jellyfish, whose tentacles can traverse space to capture and inject parasitic spores; and there are the most unsettling of all, the "Abyssal Spirits," which seem to be composed of flowing, eerie blue crystals, have no fixed form, and can freely transform between physical and spiritual entities.
