Chapter 138 Liang Bing's Visit
Winter Cherry Blossom World, atop a solitary peak.
Lin Yu slowly exhaled a long breath, the astonishing energy surging around him gradually calming and subsiding. He looked at the mountain range in the distance that had completely disappeared and turned to dust, his brows furrowing slightly: "The power has grown a bit too rapidly, and controlling it requires more precision than expected... Fortunately, I chose this place." If he had tried it near the lakeside cabin, his carefully cultivated little world would probably have been destroyed.
He stood up and snapped his fingers lightly. In an instant, the rules of time and space were subtly altered; countless particles swirled, rocks were reshaped, and vegetation regenerated and spread at a visible speed. In just a few breaths, the destroyed mountain had been restored to its original state, as if the annihilation had never happened.
With a slight movement, he returned to the lakeside cottage. Inside, Keisha and He Xi were sitting opposite each other, enjoying tea, the fragrant aroma mingling with the scent of cherry blossoms outside the window.
"Finished your research?" Lin Yu approached and casually placed his hand on the back of He Xi's chair.
"Hmm," He Xi put down her teacup, her fingertips drawing a faint light in the air, and the box containing the G3-X appeared on the table. "Its basic performance is equivalent to the strength of a third-generation divine body, and its structure is very inspiring. I made some adaptive adjustments and added a little 'gift.' You can hand it over to them now." With that, she flicked her fingers, and the box flew steadily toward Lin Yu.
Lin Yu caught the box, didn't even look at it, and casually tossed it into the light screen that unfolded beside him: "No rush." He walked around behind He Xi, gently put his arms around her shoulders, and leaned down to whisper in her ear: "Qi Lin will be back in a few days, along with your little apprentice."
"Hmm?" He Xi tilted her head slightly, her azure eyes looking at him. "Did they say what it was about?"
"I don't know either, but Wang Xiaoming probably came specifically to find you."
Upon hearing this, Keisha smiled knowingly: "Little Zhixin. Her relationship with Zhao Xin is quite stable now. It's time to bring her back and let the 'parents' meet her."
Lin Yu quickly kissed He Xi on the cheek, then strolled behind Keisha, placed his hands on her shoulders, and began to massage them with moderate pressure: "Where's your little apprentice? He's in charge of the Merlo Heavenly Court, extremely busy, and I wonder how things are going with Ge Xiaolun. Why don't you invite him over to 'meet the parents'?"
Keisha tilted her head slightly and gave Lin Yu a sidelong glance. The unintentional charm she exuded stirred Lin Yu's heart, and he couldn't help but lean over and kiss her on the cheek.
Keisha raised her hand and gently wiped her cheek with the back of her hand, her tone as calm as ever, but without much reproach: "Speak properly, don't resort to violence. Yan is now shouldering the heavy responsibility of the entire Angel City, and it's not easy for her to extricate herself. Besides, my 'deceased' queen's sudden appearance is not the right time. Let's wait a little longer."
Watching Lin Yu intently massage Keisha's shoulders, He Xi across from her picked up her teacup, gently blew on the steam, and uttered two meaningful tsks: "Tsk, tsk. They've forgotten their 'old love' once they have a 'new love.' Men—"
Lin Yu paused, looked up at He Xi, and a mischievous glint flashed in his eyes: "Mischievous Xi, I haven't given you a massage, have I? Looks like I'll have to 'teach you a lesson' today." Before he finished speaking, he pounced on He Xi with a smile, causing He Xi to chuckle and pretend to dodge.
In this warm and playful moment, Keisha put down her teacup, turned her gaze to the window, and calmly spoke:
"Alright, stop fooling around."
"A guest has arrived."
Upon hearing this, Lin Yu and He Xi immediately stopped playing around. Lin Yu's gaze turned to the path outside the window, and with a slight movement of his divine sense, he already knew the identity of the person who had come.
"It's your sister." He turned to Keisha and He Xi, his tone calm. "I'll go see her. You two stay here."
Keisha picked up her teacup without speaking, her eyelashes drooping slightly to conceal the complex emotions that flashed across her eyes. He Xi gave her a knowing look.
North Star, Lin Yu's small courtyard.
Liang Bing stood with her hands behind her back, curiously observing the seemingly ordinary yet subtly extraordinary courtyard. Her fingertips brushed against a bamboo leaf, sensing the gentle energy fluctuations within it, so different from anything in the known universe.
Just then, ripples silently spread through the air in the center of the pavilion, and a soft gate of light quietly appeared.
Liang Bing immediately turned around. The Demon Queen's vigilance made her try to see through the portal to the scene behind it, but the light seemed to block all prying eyes. Then, Lin Yu's figure stepped out from it unhurriedly, and the portal quietly closed behind him.
"No need to look," Lin Yu's voice was devoid of emotion, his gaze calmly fixed on Liang Bing. "How dare you come here? Aren't you afraid I'll really 'keep' you here?"
Liang Bing composed herself, temporarily suppressing the hint of arrogance that once belonged to Morgana, and replacing it with a more serious expression. She walked to the stone table in the pavilion and sat down without hesitation: "Please sit down. I'm not here to fight, but to discuss cooperation."
Lin Yu looked at her for two seconds, then walked over and sat down opposite her: "Tell me about it."
“Karl,” Liang Bing uttered the name with undisguised disgust, “he’s gotten involved with an even more disgusting, more evil scum. Earth is a powder keg where all the gods are focused right now, and as the ‘god’ here, you’re bound to run into them sooner or later. As for me, I don’t like that scum either. We have a common enemy, and cooperation is in the best interests of both of us.”
Lin Yu tapped his fingers lightly on the stone table, a faint, enigmatic smile playing on his lips. "Interesting. But Liang Bing, that's probably not the only reason you came all this way, is it?"
Liang Bing paused for a moment, then said frankly, "...Yes, there's one more thing." She raised her hand, and the space around her immediately rippled, forming a stable miniature wormhole.
Du Qiangwei stepped out of the wormhole, her figure upright, her long red hair swaying gently in the breeze. Seeing Lin Yu, her eyes held a respectful yet affectionate look: "Brother Lin Yu."
Lin Yu nodded to her: "Rose."
Liang Bing picked up the conversation, her tone carrying a rare, almost pleading quality: "My Time-Space Rose. She needs better guidance and faster growth. She is also a warrior of Earth; her becoming stronger is good for Earth. I need your help."
Lin Yu's gaze lingered on Qiangwei for a moment, as if assessing something, before he spoke, "I can help. However, I have someone here who is more suitable than me to teach her the mysteries of space and time."
"Who?" Liang Bing asked instinctively. "Kieran?" She thought of the legendary Time God who had disappeared.
"It's not him." Lin Yu shook his head, stood up, and said, "Wait a moment."
As soon as he finished speaking, his figure vanished as if merging into the sunlight, leaving Liang Bing and Qiangwei staring at each other in the pavilion.
Rose sat down on the stone bench next to Liang Bing and couldn't help but ask in a low voice, "Liang Bing, who is this Kilan you mentioned earlier?"
Liang Bing snapped out of her daze and casually explained, "Him? He's the nominal founder of your Super God Academy, the guy known as the 'God of Time,' an ancient god. But he's long gone."
A small world of winter cherry blossoms, inside a lakeside cottage.
Lin Yu's figure solidified again. He briefly explained Liang Bing's purpose and request.
After listening, Keisha elegantly took a sip of her floral tea and slightly raised her eyelids: "Let Hexi go. My foolish sister would probably be terrified to death if she saw me."
He Xi chuckled softly, a mischievous glint in her blue eyes: "Oh dear, isn't that a bit inappropriate?"
Lin Yu walked to Keisha's side, gently patted her shoulder, and smiled knowingly. "Alright, all bark and no bite. You clearly want to see what your sister is like now, but you insist on finding such a high-sounding excuse. So tsundere."
"Who's being arrogant?" Keisha narrowed her eyes, a dangerous aura emanating from her. "If you don't explain clearly, you'll be sleeping on the floor tonight."
Lin Yu suddenly felt a sense of "crisis" and immediately looked for help at He Xi, who was watching the show happily to the side.
He Xi received his signal, smiled teasingly, and finally stood up to smooth things over: "Alright, alright, you two. It's time for me to go out and stretch my legs." She walked to Lin Yu's side and naturally took his arm. "Yu, come out with me."
Lin Yu felt as if he had been granted a pardon and quickly nodded, "Okay."
Watching He Xi and Lin Yu disappear into the halo of light at the doorway, Keisha, left alone in the room, gazed in the direction they had vanished. Finally, she couldn't help but let a faint, yet genuinely soft, curve appear on her lips.
