Super God Academy: Kabuto
Chapter 136 Black Angel
The ripples in the Winter Cherry Blossom World quietly subsided at the pavilion. As soon as Lin Yu stepped back onto the ground of his own courtyard in Beizhixing, he saw a familiar figure with his hands behind his back, leisurely admiring the green bamboo in the corner of the yard.
The man seemed to sense something and turned around; it was Tsukasa Kadoya. A familiar, slightly cynical smile curved his lips: "Oh, you're back? You've set up a secret base for yourself, huh?"
Lin Yu glanced at him and walked to the stone table: "What brings you here this time? Instead of being a proper instructor in the Super Soldier Company, you're just wandering around my little courtyard."
Tsukasa Kadoya strolled over to him and casually put his arm around his shoulder. "What are you saying? Missed you guys, so what? Came to see you, only to find I'm all alone. But," he pointed to his head, a smug smile on his face, "my gut feeling told me you guys hadn't gone far, and I was right."
"Don't give me that." Lin Yu lightly shrugged off his hand, his gaze scrutinizing. "What's going on between you and my sister?"
Tsukasa Kadoya touched his nose, his gaze drifting to the side: "Ah... you knew all along."
"Otherwise what?" Lin Yu's voice was calm, yet carried an undeniable force. "She's my sister. I'm warning you, Kadoya Tsukasa, if you dare to bully Qi Lin, I guarantee you won't leave this universe alive. I'll chase you through every world until I find you."
"Okay, okay," Tsukasa Kadoya said, folding his arms behind his head and gazing at the sky, his tone becoming more serious. "Am I that kind of person?"
Lin Yu said no more. Light flowed in his palm, condensing into a card that shimmered with seven-colored light, and he handed it over: "This is a temporary pass to the small world. The entrance is in the pavilion. Next time, remember to knock first."
Tsukasa Kadoya took the card, feeling the strange spatial fluctuations within it with his fingertips. He smiled and said, "I understand. I'll be going now. Kirin is cooking for me today, and she promised to wait for me for dinner, so I can't be late." Before he finished speaking, his figure had already faded away and disappeared like a faded ink painting.
Lin Yu stared at the spot where he had disappeared, narrowed his eyes, and muttered to himself, "This guy... looks like I need to find an opportunity to have a 'good' talk to him."
"Don't you think he deserves a beating?" A voice almost identical to Lin Yu's, except that he was wearing a black trench coat, rang out from the side.
Lin Yu suddenly turned his head and saw another "self" leaning against the pillar, dressed in black as ink, with an ethereal and unpredictable aura.
Lin Yu, dressed in black, met his gaze and said calmly, "He has his own way of walking his path. What you need to do now is to quickly familiarize yourself with the power that is awakening within you." As he spoke, the space around him rippled slightly, and an antique-looking box appeared, which he casually tossed over.
Lin Yu caught the box; it felt slightly heavy in his hand.
"I've already modified it," Lin Yu in black continued. "Take it back and let He Xi study it thoroughly, then hand it over to this country. They need this." His gaze seemed to pierce through the present, seeing certain trajectories of the future.
"Who exactly are you...?" Lin Yu wanted to ask.
Lin Yu, dressed in black, waved his hand, interrupting him: "The time is not right. When the time comes, you will naturally understand." After saying that, his figure disappeared into the shadows as if he had never been there.
Lin Yu stood there, weighing the rather heavy box in his hand. After a long while, he shook his head helplessly: "Goodness, how come my future self is so eccentric and has such an annoying aura?"
He didn't linger any longer, turned around, and the space in the pavilion was once again shimmering with light.
Almost at the same moment Lin Yu's figure disappeared, in a conceptual "nothingness," Lin Yu's figure in black slowly materialized. He listened to the seemingly time-traveling comment about him being "despicable," clenched his fist, and his knuckles cracked slightly.
His face was expressionless, but a faint, almost helpless smile flashed in his eyes as he muttered to himself:
"Okay, very good... I've got it."
"It seems that the 'me' I am now has not experienced enough trials and tribulations."
"It needs to be strengthened further."
The door of the cottage by Winter Cherry Blossom Lake opened slightly, letting in a cool evening breeze. Lin Yu appeared in the doorway, carrying a trace of the hustle and bustle of the outside world, which was quickly enveloped by the warmth inside.
"I'm back—" he deliberately dragged out the sound, making a somewhat childish announcement.
Keisha didn't even lift her gaze from the ancient book in her hands, but her cool voice contained a barely perceptible hint of gentleness: "I know. You're not blind, no need to shout it so the whole little world can hear."
"Hehe." Lin Yu leaned closer to her and quickly pecked her cheek, his smile not quite serious. "My little Nai Sha is beautiful no matter how you look at her."
Keisha extended her slender fingers and pressed them against his forehead, which was trying to push his luck. Her gaze finally shifted from the pages of the book to his face, her expression calm yet knowing: "I roughly know what you're thinking. Don't even think about it."
Plan A failed. Lin Yu readily switched to Plan B, strolled over to He Xi's sofa, sat down next to her, and immediately put on a slightly aggrieved tone: "Wife—I'm back."
He Xi, focused on the complex star map data stream floating in front of her, turned her head upon hearing this, her silver hair flowing down, a hint of mockery in her eyes: "Oh, so you ran into a wall with Queen Keisha and turned to me for comfort?"
"Wife, can you bear to see me all alone?" Lin Yu blinked, flipped his hand, and a futuristic silver-gray metal box appeared out of thin air, landing steadily on the coffee table. "Look what gift I brought you back."
He Xi finally shifted her gaze completely from the star map to the box, raising an eyebrow: "Bring it here so I can take a look."
Keisha, who was standing to the side, closed her book, shook her head gently, and said in a tone that was hard to tell whether it was helplessness or indulgence: "You just spoil him."
Lin Yu opened the box, and a soft light from inside illuminated him and the two women nearby. Inside was a set of precisely structured, sharply defined silver-black armor components. The streamlined armor had a matte finish, and faint energy circuits could be seen at the joints.
"This is..." Lin Yu looked at the armor that was both unfamiliar and vaguely familiar, and fell into thought.
"You know him?" He Xi keenly caught his expression.
"Hmm...it seems to be called...G3?" Lin Yu said uncertainly.
"G3?" The two women looked at him at the same time.
"I don't know the specifics either," Lin Yu scratched the back of his head, "but I know who does."
"Who?"
Lin Yu smiled, a thought flickering in his mind. A red light flashed beside him, and the red Kabuto Zecter insect device floated in mid-air, its compound eyes gleaming with a wise light.
Kabuto Zecter nodded, uttering a steady, synthesized electronic voice: "This is the modified G3-X system. It's an enhanced exoskeleton armor developed based on Kamen Rider Kuuga's data and fighting style. Logically, there should be an even more advanced G4 model in the same series."
"G4...he didn't give it to me." Lin Yu nodded, indicating that he understood.
Keisha and He Xi were completely captivated by Kabuto Zecter's explanation and the armor before them. As top researchers and pioneers of divine body technology, this armor, originating from another system and blending biotechnology with precision mechanics, instantly ignited their research passion. He Xi had already reached out and lightly touched the surface of the armor, fine blue energy threads flowing from her fingertips as she began to analyze its structure.
While analyzing, He Xi asked without looking up, "Honey, who is this 'Void Self' you were talking about?"
Lin Yu leaned back on the sofa and thought for a moment: "I've only heard of him. A very powerful older brother. I remember there was a saying that described him... 'At the summit of the snow-capped mountain, a black angel, a white devil.'"
Kabuto Zecter added in a timely manner, his voice as steady as ever: "Kamen Rider Kuuga's power originates from the Amadam Stone, created by the ancient 'Lindo' civilization. It was initially used by the Lindo warrior Riku, with the core purpose of 'protecting' his people and sealing away a threat known as the 'Grongi.' Its power form changes according to the user's state of mind, and its ultimate form possesses the potential to manipulate microscopic particles and create miracles."
"Oh?" He Xi's azure eyes lit up, showing great interest in "changing with one's mood" and "manipulating microscopic particles," but the analysis in her hands did not stop, but instead became more detailed.
Lin Yu smiled as he watched the two queens instantly enter a state of complete absorption in their research, then quietly got up. He pushed open the glass door of the cabin and walked to the lakeside.
The lake was as still as a mirror under the night sky, reflecting the starry sky and the warm light of the cabin. With a casual stroke, he created a comfortable deck chair and a seemingly ordinary fishing rod. He cast the baited hook gently into the starlit lake.
"Go keep an eye on that Kadoya Tsukasa guy for me," he said softly, as if speaking to thin air.
Kabuto Zecter, hovering beside his shoulder, blinked his compound eyes and gave a short, in response: "Understood." He then transformed into a streak of red light, tearing open a tiny ripple in space before disappearing.
The lakeside returned to tranquility, save for the rustling of the cherry trees in the breeze and the faint whispers from inside the house as the two queens discussed the compatibility of the armor's energy circuit with their divine bodies. Lin Yu leaned back in his recliner, his gaze fixed on the ethereal fishing float on the lake's surface, a relaxed, confident smile playing on his lips.
