Super God Academy: Kabuto

Chapter 133 Facing Hua Ye

Meanwhile, in the lakeside cabin of the independent universe "Winter Cherry Blossom," time flowed peacefully.

Lin Yu had just conjured a pot of herbal tea with a starlight-like hue using his imagination and poured it for He Xi and Keisha. He Xi's true form was lazily curled up on a wool blanket by the fireplace, her head resting on Lin Yu's lap, her fingertips unconsciously playing with the hem of his clothes, enjoying the warmth of his occasional gentle kisses on her hair. Keisha, on the other hand, leaned against a chaise lounge by the window, an old physical book lying open on her lap, her gaze often drifting to the tranquil reflection of the Milky Way outside the window.

Suddenly, He Xi's body, which was resting on her pillow, paused slightly. Her long eyelashes trembled, and she slowly opened her icy blue eyes. A faint, data-driven light, belonging to the battlefield, flashed in her eyes, but was instantly melted away by the warmth of the small world.

"What's wrong?" Lin Yu keenly noticed her sudden change and asked softly.

He Xi snuggled against his lap, finding a more comfortable position, her voice carrying a hint of languidness from just being awakened, and a calmness that only he and Keisha could understand:

"It's nothing serious. A few unruly 'flying insects' got into the house, and I spent some time swatting them away, but I'm a bit tired. One of the 'big moths' had a strange insect-killing device, so it took a little effort to swat it, and it also messed up a lot of the 'furniture'."

She picked up the cup of starflower herbal tea, took a sip, and continued delivering the most horrifying battle report in the most casual tone:

"My clone suggests that I might need to go back and do a thorough cleaning myself, and also take the opportunity to disassemble and study the workings of that insect killer, so as to avoid bothering you again next time."

Keisha looked up from her book, a knowing glint and an almost imperceptible sharpness flashing in her golden eyes, as if the aura of the King of Gods had briefly returned. She said calmly, "Need help with the 'cleaning up'? Although I am now a 'deceased' person, it's good to take action occasionally and deal with some cosmic garbage, which can be considered doing a good deed for the people."

Lin Yu looked at his lover in his arms, who seemed languid but had just commanded an amazing defensive battle, and then at the eager little Nai Sha over there, and couldn't help but chuckle and shake his head.

He lowered his head and kissed He Xi's forehead:

"Then let's go back and take a look. Do you need me to keep watch, or help you 'repair the furniture'? Dongying is always here waiting for you to come back."

His tone was calm, yet it contained a protective will powerful enough to shake the stars.

He Xi smiled slightly, put down her teacup, and her icy blue eyes held both gentleness and wisdom.

"Okay. I'll go back now. I'll be right back."

She stood up, her slender figure appearing exceptionally resolute in the warm glow of the light. A brief, dimensional-reducing "battle to defend the homeland" and "technology recovery operation" had been arranged in just a few words.

After He Xi left, the room fell silent. Lin Yu's gaze fell on Keisha by the window, who was looking down as she turned the pages of a book, her profile framed by a faint golden edge in the windowlight.

"Little Naisa, come here." His voice, tinged with laughter, broke the silence.

Keisha raised her eyes, her golden pupils widening slightly, carrying a hint of the former king of gods' majesty and a subtle, almost imperceptible embarrassment: "Don't call me that." Even so, she closed the book and obediently walked towards him. "What is it?"

As she drew near, Lin Yu reached out and easily pulled her into his embrace. Keisha gave a soft hum, not resisting the hug, but instead, after that helpless and indulgent "hmm," she moved even closer. Lin Yu possessed a reassuring aura, mingled with the scent of pine from the cabin and the warmth of the fireplace, a haven where, like this small world independent of the known universe, she could temporarily lay down her crown and burdens. She allowed Lin Yu to play with her blonde hair, an extremely intimate, even slightly "blasphemous" gesture; if any angel in Heavenly City were to witness it, they would likely be speechless with shock. But here, there was only starlight, the fireplace, and each other.

"But I prefer to call you that," Lin Yu chuckled, his fingertips stroking her soft golden hair with gentle, affectionate strokes, "Little Milka."

Keisha looked up at him, then suddenly leaned in and gave his neck a light bite, a helpless yet affectionate warning. She then pressed her cheek against his shoulder, her voice muffled, "So, what are your plans next?"

Lin Yu's gaze drifted out the window, as if piercing through nebulae and dust to glimpse the turbulent undercurrents beyond the known universe. "Something over there wants to get in. Karl is trying to open the door for them." His tone was calm, yet every word carried immense weight. "Now it's just a matter of whether the door opens first, or we act faster. At that point, it'll likely be a war between two universes."

She quietly turned the pages, her gaze not entirely focused on the words. The amount of information conveyed in Lin Yu's words was immense—"a war between two universes," which far exceeded the scope of conflicts between god-level civilizations within the known universe.

"Then we..." Keisha's voice calmed down, tinged with thought.

"I know what you're thinking," Lin Yu interrupted her, his arm tightening slightly—a gesture of reassurance and support. "Just do what you want to do, what you should do. He Xi and I will be behind you."

She knew what Lin Yu meant: to let her do what she wanted, to integrate the power of the angels, and to prepare for the possible upheaval. He and He Xi would be her support, her trump card, her...home.

This support wasn't simply about providing strength, but rather an unconditional trust and acceptance. He knew her pride, her responsibilities, and her path, so instead of saying "I'll help you," he said, "Go ahead, we'll support you." This dispelled the last trace of awkwardness she felt from their intimate gesture. He understood her.

Inside the cabin, time continued its slow flow. Strategic plans were being drawn in silent understanding, the shadows of the future temporarily kept at bay. At this moment, only the warmth of closeness, the soft rustling of pages, and the crackling of the fireplace offered unspoken support and protection.

Keisha knew that when she needed to step out of this hut, don the crown once more, and wield the holy sword, she would have the strongest support behind her. But for now, she allowed herself to be simply Keisha, a woman nestled in her lover's arms, reading books and enjoying a moment of peace.

Lin Yu's gaze also fell on the distant void outside the window, the direction of the known universe. Karl's movements, the changes in the void, the ripples of a possible collision between two universes... all of this was brewing. But the real, warm touch in his arms, the faint fragrance of hair lingering around his nose, brought him immense peace of mind.

When soldiers come, we'll meet them head-on; when water comes, we'll dam it. With him, with He Xi, and with this seemingly lazy but ever-thinking little Nai Sha in our arms, no matter what comes, we have the strength to fight.

More importantly, no matter how drastic things change outside, this little house by the winter cherry blossom lake will always be a haven where they can return and rest.

The firelight quietly illuminated their embracing figures, imprinting the tranquility and strength of this moment deep into the time of their small world.
