He Xi looked up from the book in her hands, somewhat surprised, and asked, "Really? Why are you suddenly concerned about him?"

After Lin Yu left, the figure of the man in the black trench coat reappeared in that void. And opposite him, the hazy figure seemed to have anticipated his arrival.

"Just as you expected," the hazy figure replied, "Let nature take its course." He paused, then added with a hint of teasing, "If you're unhappy, you can go out and beat him up."

The man in the black trench coat seemed to seriously consider the suggestion: "Good suggestion."

But then he let out a soft sigh: "Ah... variables." His gaze seemed to pierce through countless dimensions, landing on the small courtyard on the North Star, and on Tsukasa Kadoya.

"I don't know whether letting him stay here is a blessing or a curse."
