Super God Academy: Kabuto

Chapter 104 Exploring the Way

When Tsukasa Kadoya recovered from the brief dizziness of the spatial teleportation, he found himself in a completely weightless environment, plummeting rapidly towards an endless, pure black abyss.

"What does that guy want to do by throwing me into this godforsaken place?" The thought had barely crossed his mind when a primal, instinctive fear gripped his heart!

He abruptly looked down into the abyss—where a pair of enormous, jet-black eyes, like blood-red stars, slowly opened, silently gazing at him. In that instant of eye contact, Tsukasa Kadoya's mind was forcibly flooded with countless maddening visions: the collapse of stars, the heat death of the universe, the utter disintegration of order, and the devastating destruction of all things. It was the embodiment of ultimate chaos, disorder, and annihilation!

"Tsk!" He immediately tried to open the aurora curtain below to escape, but was shocked to find that the surrounding space seemed to be completely sealed and frozen by a more advanced and terrifying force, and his ability was ineffective here!

"Lin Yu, you bastard! Take me back right now!" Realizing he had been tricked and might be facing the real danger of being destroyed, Tsukasa Kadoya couldn't help but shout out in a fit of rage, his voice sounding unusually abrupt in the void of his fall.

As if in response to his call (or perhaps some mastermind had finally "seen enough"), just as he was about to fall into the maddening aura emanating from those eyes, a familiar colored light screen unfolded beneath him.

"Whoosh—!"

The next second, the world spun around him, and Tsukasa Kadoya was thrown back into the original void, landing awkwardly on the ground. He gasped for breath, cold sweat unusually beading on his forehead, the deathly threat that had almost frozen his soul still throbbing violently in his heart.

"Damn it... how could they trick me like this..." he cursed under his breath, still shaken. "What kind of monster was that? It was terrifying..."

At the very moment Tsukasa Kadoya was teleported away by the light barrier, those pitch-black, blood-red eyes at the bottom of the abyss seemed to show a rare moment of clarity. They glanced thoughtfully in the direction the light barrier had disappeared, their gaze seemingly carrying a hint of inquiry, or even a... indescribable, complex emotion? But just a instant later, crimson and chaos completely engulfed their pupils again, the enormous eyes slowly closing and disappearing back into the endless darkness, as if nothing had ever happened.

Reunion in the Void

After resting for a while to calm his turbulent blood and emotions, Tsukasa Kadoya stood up, his face grim, opened the Aurora Curtain, stepped inside without looking back, and quickly left this unfortunate place.

No sooner had he left than the two mysterious figures reappeared like ghosts.

"Did you notice anything?" the man in the black trench coat asked, his tone tinged with inquiry.

"His condition is not right," the hazy figure murmured, his voice still calm. "He is probably relying on the special nature of that abyss to suppress some kind of 'instinct' or 'corruption' within himself. However, the situation at the very bottom of the abyss is still impossible to discern; the interference is too strong."

The blurry figure paused, then added, with a hint of warning: "However, given his personality, he's not one to suffer a loss after you've tricked him like this."

Upon hearing this, the man in the black trench coat shrugged indifferently, his tone even carrying a hint of schadenfreude:

"It's okay, he can't find me anyway."

The two figures slowly merged into the void once more, as if they had always been a part of this silence. Only a knight, utterly startled, and a "creditor" hidden behind the scenes, who might be remembered, remained.

In the kitchen early in the morning, Lin Yu deftly placed the cooked porridge and a few side dishes on the table. Just as he was about to wake He Xi, he suddenly felt an itch in his nose and couldn't help but sneeze.

"Achoo! Who's talking about me..." He rubbed his nose, then smiled and didn't dwell on it. "Never mind." He turned and walked towards the bedroom, his voice full of warmth: "Honey, get up and eat."

The bedroom door was gently pushed open. On the soft, large bed, He Xi was lazily stretching, her silk nightgown outlining her breathtaking curves, a glimpse of her fair skin peeking out unexpectedly. She let out a soft, sleepy nasal sound: "Mmm~~~".

Morning light streamed through the window, illuminating her long, bright silver hair, especially highlighting the few unruly, sticking-out strands that swayed gently with her movements, adding a touch of adorable charm rarely seen on her. Lin Yu's heart softened at the sight, and he went over and gently ruffled her hair.

He Xi opened her icy blue eyes and looked at the person who was "misbehaving." Instead of being annoyed, she smiled with a playful and charming smile and said in a voice that was still husky and magnetic from just waking up, "Little kid, you're being naughty~"

Looking at her radiant smile, Lin Yu felt a surge of warmth in his heart and leaned down to place a gentle kiss on the corner of her lips.

"Get up," his voice was so gentle it could melt your heart, "I'm waiting for you."

Breakfast ended in a peaceful and cozy atmosphere. He Xi and Keisha, like two retired senior citizens, lay comfortably on the deck chairs in the courtyard, enjoying the rare warm sunshine.

He Xi turned her head slightly to look at Lin Yu, who was sitting on the low stool next to her, and asked, "Kid, when are you going?"

Lin Yu gazed at the distant sky, shook his head, and said calmly with a hint of uncertainty, "I don't know. He didn't tell me the specific time, he just told me to be prepared."

Perhaps the summons will arrive in the next second. This uncertainty makes the tranquil sunlight all the more precious.
