Super God Academy: The Stranger

Chapter 29 A Heart-Piercing Serendipity

The conversation with He Xi was very pleasant, and time passed quickly without Qian Mu realizing it.

Almost none of Qianmu's questions could stump Hexi for even a minute. Only a few questions made Hexi ponder for a while before she answered them precisely, praising the unique perspective of the Kabbalah civilization, saying that it could be understood in such a way.

As for the issue of the Dark Dimension, this was exactly where He Xi had her figured out. Before she could even finish explaining the details of the problem, a series of code data was thrown over, complete with various comments explaining what each step did and what its function was, making it easy for even a complete novice to understand.

Qianmu couldn't help but sigh that a master is indeed a master; Hexi's teaching ability and breadth of knowledge far surpassed Zhixin's. Some questions that Zhixin couldn't answer, or that she wasn't sure whether she should tell Qianmu, could be answered by Hexi, and she improved day by day.

However, what puzzled Qianmu was that Hexi answered all his questions without holding anything back, which felt a bit off.

Qianmu decided that next time he came, he would bring some advanced knowledge to test He Xi's opinion and see if he could get an answer.

As dusk approached, Qianmu thanked Hexi and asked to return to the floating island.

He dared not stay here again. The Heavenly King had been single for millennia and had always been virtuous. It was impossible for him to stay overnight at her house. It was not like the angels had not arranged a place for him to stay.

Secondly, it's not safe to stay overnight here. Just while asking questions, he felt He Xi's gaze constantly scrutinizing him, and every now and then she would look at him with a strange look. Was Qian Mu staying here because she was afraid he wouldn't take something?

The auspicious clouds arrived slowly and leisurely, but left at breakneck speed, as if chased by wolves, leaving trails of contrails as they returned to the floating island.

He Xi stood at the door, looking somewhat annoyed at Qian Mu's retreating figure as if fleeing from a tiger's den or a wolf's lair. She sighed helplessly until Qian Mu disappeared from sight before turning around and returning to her own courtyard.

The next day arrived in the blink of an eye.

As Qianmu was leisurely lying in the garden in front of the castle, a familiar figure flapped its snow-white wings and flew towards the floating island, landing in the small garden where Qianmu was without any hindrance.

Angel Zhixin's adorable little face appeared before Qianmu, but Qianmu adjusted his large sunglasses, stretched without ceremony, and lay back down.

"Zhixin, what brings you here?" Qianmu tilted his head and looked at the angel Zhixin, not understanding why she had come to see him.

And, "How did you know I was here?"

"Qianmu, it's no secret where you live. You can find out with a simple search on the Angel Network now," Zhixin said with a smile, pursing her lips.

Because the only male life form to have resided in Heavenly City in thousands of years, there have been several civilizations that have visited the Heavenly Court of Merlo in recent years. The Angelic Civilization boasts the largest number of civilizations under its command, with all gods paying homage. However, these civilizations all know some information about the Angelic Civilization and that all angels are female. Therefore, the envoys sent to the Heavenly Court of Merlo are mostly female. Even if a female envoy cannot be found, male envoys come and go without lingering. As a result, the area in the Heavenly Court of Merlo for receiving male foreign guests has never been open to the public.

The unique treatment that Qianmu, the scorpion's father, receives is considered big news in the Angel Civilization.

As everyone knows, gossip is a woman's spiritual sustenance, and even goddesses and female angels cannot avoid it, and may even go too far. The moment Angel Yan brought Qianmu to the floating island, the island's location coordinates were exposed and spread on the angels' internal network.

"This speed is terrifying!" Qianmu exclaimed, standing up in astonishment at how quickly the news spread among the angels.

Qianmu stood up and led Zhixin toward the living room. He figured there were probably quite a few angels watching the live stream, so he should keep his distance and talk things out inside.

Meanwhile, outside the Heavenly City, Angel Yan, dressed in clean and tidy armor, emerged from the wormhole, verifying her identity and preparing to enter the Heavenly City of Melo to report to Queen Keisha.

Upon entering the living room, Qianmu pulled out two chairs and gestured for Zhixin to sit down. Only then did he continue asking questions.

"Is there something you need from me?" Qianmu knew Zhixin's personality; she wouldn't come to him without a reason, so there must be something she wanted to discuss.

Or rather, most angels are like this. Their civilization is so advanced that it can be described as utopian. If they didn't need to enforce justice and order throughout the universe, they wouldn't need any human interactions, and their moral character would naturally be noble because they don't have any material desires.

There's less backstabbing and entanglement of interests, so people tend to be more straightforward, speaking their minds, pointing out mistakes directly, and admitting their errors. Living in such a society would be very comfortable, well, for most people. Those inherently cunning and power-hungry individuals might dislike it.

However, Qianmu doesn't dislike it. He also dislikes all kinds of scheming and social niceties. He prefers this kind of straightforward and direct interaction, which is at least less mentally exhausting, isn't it?

Zhi Xin's face flushed red. She wasn't sure if she should make the request; her heart was racing, her palms were sweating, and she felt her cheeks burning. She knew her request might seem strange, but she decided to say it anyway.

"Um, could you give me a strand of your hair?" Her voice was barely audible, almost like a mosquito's buzz, and she barely dared to look the other person in the eye. She felt her cheeks burning even hotter and wished she could end this awkward situation immediately.

Zhi Xin now deeply regrets why she told Qian Mu about the gene matching system on Kaker Star. Now her actions are like a marriage proposal, and one with an uncertain outcome. If it works out, all will be well; but if it doesn't, Zhi Xin feels she might have to avoid Qian Mu for a while.

Qian Mu was somewhat surprised by Zhi Xin's request, wondering why she would ask him for her hair. He understood the significance of this request: genetic testing for matching.

He was surprised that the angel's gene matching system didn't have his data. He couldn't believe that when he was editing his super gene in He Xi's lab, He Xi hadn't secretly collected his gene data, since that wasn't a difficult task.

"Could it be that I've been judging a gentleman by my own petty standards? Has He Xi's integrity really reached such a level? It seems I've been misunderstanding King Tianji all along." Qian Mu felt a little guilty.
