"Walk!"

Lance pointed at Olaf, who was still fighting Alicia to the death.

"Let's give him a just and righteous beating!"

"good!"

Graham and his men had been itching for a fight for a long time, and they rushed forward one by one with their weapons.

A dozen or so fully buffed Exemplars, like a pack of hungry wolves, instantly surrounded Olaf.

Olaf was already evenly matched with Alicia, and was even slightly at a disadvantage.

It was only thanks to the Berserker's explosive power that they managed to hold on.

Suddenly, a dozen or so Exemplary-ranked beings with buff spells rushed out, along with a mage eyeing them menacingly.

His heart skipped a beat, and he thought to himself, "Oh no."

"Have you no shame?! A whole group of you ganging up on one person?!"

Olaf forced Alicia back with a single sword strike, roaring and cursing.

"Face? Can you eat your face?"

"Are you a child?"

Alfred sneered, and his longsword whistled as it thrust towards Olaf's side.

"When you led your men into the city in the middle of the night to find me, why didn't you say you had no shame?"

Olaf hurriedly dodged to the side, but was then struck by Alicia's sword and lost his balance.

He was then struck squarely in the back by Graham's battle axe.

Although his vital energy and armor blocked the attack, his vital energy was also greatly reduced as a result.

"Damn it!"

Olaf grimaced, his blood surging wildly within him.

He wanted to burst out, but there were weapons all around him, and he couldn't find an opening.

Alicia seized the opportunity and slashed at his greatsword.

The immense force sent Olaf's wrist numbing, and his greatsword nearly flew out of his hand.

Immediately afterwards, Lance cast a spell on him.

[Upgraded Ring Casting - Slow!]

As if things couldn't get any worse, the spell actually worked on the first try!

Olaf's movements slowed down by half a beat.

In that split second, three longswords and two battle axes struck him simultaneously.

[Ascending Ring Casting - Weakening Ray!]

Lance raised his hand and cast another spell, which accurately hit Olaf.

As expected, I've become immune.

"Master!"

Olaf, his eyes red, leaped and frantically tried to rush toward Lance, who was flying in the sky.

Lance was startled.

[Third Ring Spell - Thunder Step!]

Lance teleported away instantly, and incidentally delivered a low-damage but extremely insulting attack to Olaf.

"Didn't you pass the immunity? The spell didn't even work, so why are you so angry?"

"Aren't you in a hurry?"

Upon hearing this, Olaf became even more enraged.

"Clap clap clap!"

Before he even landed, he tried to stomp on the air and rush towards Lance again.

But Alicia also jumped up, her greatsword held horizontally in front of him, and then she slashed at his shoulder.

"Your opponent is me!"

Alicia roared, a purple magical light flashing on the blade, slicing through Olaf's blood aura and armor, and entering his shoulder blade.

The cracking sound of bones breaking was enough to make your teeth ache.

Olaf was knocked back to the ground with a painful roar, his greatsword slipping from his grasp and clattering to the ground.

He staggered back a few steps, his knees buckled, and he knelt on the ground with a thud.

The effects of the Bloodlust had worn off, and he had lost all fighting ability; he barely had the strength to even lift his head.

The soldiers of Eriland erupted in thunderous cheers upon witnessing this scene.

"We won! We won!"

Olaf has lost!

Sassan's soldiers panicked completely, abandoning their armor and weapons, and turned to flee south.

Alicia, carrying her greatsword, walked step by step towards Olaf.

The blade was pressed against his neck, and his eyes were as cold as ice.

"Now, is there anything else you'd like to say?"

Olaf raised his head, spat out a mouthful of bloody saliva, but showed no fear on his face.

"Kill me or torture me, it's all up to you. If I even flinch, I'm no hero!"

In that very instant.

The sky suddenly darkened, and a terrifying surge of magical energy swept in from mid-air.

The magical power was so immense that it made everyone present feel suffocated.

The air seemed to freeze.

Lance's expression suddenly changed, and he looked up at the sky.

The space in mid-air rippled like the surface of water, and a huge teleportation array appeared out of thin air.

In the center of the magic circle, an old man dressed in a dark blue mage's robe slowly walked out.

His hair was gray, and he held a staff in his hand inlaid with a huge sapphire.

[First-Circle Spell - Detect Magic!]

In Lance's eyes, James was surrounded by a strong magical aura, and he was covered in magical equipment from head to toe.

"Master James!"

Olaf on the ground saw the newcomer and his eyes lit up instantly.

Lance's heart skipped a beat, and he returned to his teammates.

The Arcane Echo effect activates, restoring the arc to full.

This is a level thirteen, seventh-ring archmage; this is a true high-level mage.

Lance doesn't take Exemplary Warriors seriously, but he'll run away if he can as long as he can as an Exemplary Mage.

However, we currently have a hero-level warrior on our side, so we can observe him secretly for now.

James glanced down at Olaf, who was badly injured on the ground, and frowned.

He didn't look at anyone else around him, and gently tapped his staff.

A pale purple shield instantly enveloped Olaf, pulling him to his side.

"James! How dare you!"

Alicia roared and slashed at the shield with her sword.

However, when the sword blade struck the protective shield, it only created ripples before being deflected.

Lance immediately reached out and grabbed her, shaking his head slightly.

She couldn't break through the seventh-ring archmage's protective barrier right now.

Moreover, mages of the same level can have vastly different combat strengths due to differences in their specializations and the spells they possess.

What if this James is really a master?

If the other party is provoked, those present may not be able to withstand the wrath of a seventh-ring archmage.

James's gaze finally swept over and landed on Lance.

His eyes held a hint of surprise, as if he hadn't expected the mage who had forced Olaf to ask him for help to be so young.

But he didn't say much, only gave Lance a gentle smile.

The staff tapped again.

"I'm sorry everyone, I have to take Olaf back with me."

His voice was as soft as if he were speaking in everyone's ear.

As soon as he finished speaking, the teleportation array beside him lit up again.

With a flash of golden light, he and Olaf vanished from their spot in an instant.

That terrifying magical fluctuation also vanished without a trace.

The scene was silent for several seconds.

Alfred breathed a sigh of relief and put down his sword.

"Luckily he didn't make a move, otherwise things would have been really troublesome today."

A general of the Exemplary rank complained:

"Your Highness, why are you so afraid? Even if a fight breaks out, he might not be able to kill us all before he runs out of spell slots and magic storage items!"

"Um?!"

Lance was taken aback. What kind of profession was this, that it required such bravery?

[Class: Barbarian]

That's not surprising, that's not surprising at all.
