"Something's happened to the Prince!" Graham roared, looking at Olaf and the eight men in black behind him.

His eyes widened in alarm. "Olav, you actually came in person?!"

Olaf completely ignored him.

Lance clapped his hands: "A level 15 Berserker, right?"

Olaf's expression changed: "How did you know?"

This should be a top secret of the Sassanid Kingdom, known to only a handful of people within the kingdom itself. Why...?

Lance: "Guess?"

"Alfred has probably already been sent, but we don't know how long he's been dead. If he just died, there's still a chance to save him; he was the highest-ranking professional in Rield City."

"but……"

Lance stared at Olaf.

This guy is a variant of the Hero class, much stronger than our Exemplary class.

He also has eight Exemplary Class members supporting him; we can't win...

If he went to rescue Alfred, and when he came back after the rescue, all his teammates would be gone.

"Use Polymorph? That requires Olaf to make a save against Perception. But who knows how high this level 15 Berserker's Perception is? If it's very high, the spell might miss immediately, and that would be the end of it."

"And the banishment spell performs a charm immunity."

Lance stared at Olaf's square and stern face, and, realizing that Olaf's approachability wasn't very obvious, he made his judgment.

"This guy probably isn't very charming."

The thought process took almost an instant, and then he leaped up and swung his sword at Olaf of Lance!

At the same time, the Exemplary class brought by Olaf also clashed with the Exemplary class of Rield City.

Olaf is extremely fast; most mages wouldn't have time to cast a spell.

[Arcane Instant Cast - Banish!]

A golden light shot out from Lance's fingertip, enveloping Olaf's entire body.

Olaf's body stiffened abruptly; he felt a tremendous force pulling at him, as if it were trying to rip his soul out.

He struggled, but the force was too great.

"You..." He only managed to utter one word before he vanished with a "snap".

Only a faint golden light remained in place, slowly dissipating.

Everyone engaged in the battle was stunned.

How did a level 15 hero-ranked warrior suddenly disappear?

"Without Lord Olaf, how can we possibly contend with the people of Rield City?!"

"That's the [Exile] spell!" A Paradigm-level player recognized the spell.

"That spell will only last for one minute. After one minute, Lord Olaf will return, and everything will be alright once he comes back!"

……

Lance chose not to participate in the battle for the time being. Instead, he took advantage of Olaf being thrown into another dimension, flew in through the hole, and landed on the second-floor corridor.

The study was a mess; the desk was broken in two, documents were scattered all over the floor, and book pages were turning in the wind.

Alfred was lying on the floor.

His neck had been cut open with a deep gash, and blood was flowing all over the ground.

But he still held the sword in his hand.

Lance could tell how he died almost instantly.

"That's backbone!"

Lance crouched down next to Alfred's corpse, placed his hand on his chest, and began to cast a spell.

I wonder if it lasted more than a minute...

[Third Ring Spell - Resurrection!]

[Resurrection: When you touch a creature that died within the last minute, it revives with 1 health. This spell cannot revive creatures that died of old age, nor can it restore lost body parts.]

There are ways to resurrect in Faerûn.

After a person dies, the soul does indeed leave the body and travel to outer planes (such as the Seven Heavens, the Nine Hells, etc.) to become a Prayer, but this journey also takes time.

The multiverse follows a set of underlying rules.

While the ultimate fate of a mortal's soul is determined by their beliefs and actions, the soul retains a certain degree of self-selection before it is completely transformed into a supplicant.

The essence of resurrection magic is to call upon the soul. Benevolent deities usually respect the free will of mortals, and if believers choose to respond to resurrection, the deities will not forcibly detain them.

As for the Abyss and the Nine Hells...

Demons and devils are masters at exploiting loopholes in the path of souls that have fallen into evil dimensions.

If the soul was sold through a contract, the resurrection spell may fail due to ownership disputes.

However, if a soul has only fallen into evil deeds and has not yet been transformed into a larva or a demon, there is still a possibility of redemption.

The spell 【Resurrection】, although only at the third level, is mastered by very few people in the entire continent of Faerûn.

The number of times the gods grant resurrection spells to priests and the multiverse grants resurrection spells to primordial paladins is extremely limited.

The resurrection of the dead is a miracle among miracles, and many legendary priests and paladins are unable to master this spell.

But Lance certainly would.

Golden light emanated from Lance's palm, like warm water, slowly seeping into Alfred's wound.

The deep, bone-revealing wound began to heal, the torn flesh began to grow back together, and the severed blood vessels reconnected.

Although the injury has healed to some extent.

But the blood started flowing again, and the heart started beating again.

[First-level spell - Healing!]

Healing spell! Healing spell! Healing spell! ...

Alfred suddenly opened his eyes and sat up.

He was panting heavily, his hands groping around his neck, finding a scar that had already healed.

"I……"

He looked down at his hands, then at Lance, a bewildered expression on his face: "Wasn't I dead?"

Lance stood up and dusted off his robe.

"If you're alive, stop talking nonsense."

"There are still eight Exemplary Rank and one Heroic Rank outside. We'll deal with them after that."

Alfred paused for a moment, then quickly realized what was happening.

He picked up the sword from the ground and stood up.

He glanced outside the door.

Not far away, the eight men in black were still locked in combat with Graham and his group.

"But where did Olaf go?"

"I banished you with the [Ban] spell, but you'll be back soon."

Alfred gripped his sword and strode out.

"Gentlemen!" he shouted, "I'm not dead yet!"

Everyone was taken aback.

The eight men in black were completely blank in their minds.

They just witnessed Alfred commit suicide, his blood flowing everywhere.

Is he alive now?

The scar on my neck is still there!

But the person did come back to life!!!

"What are you standing there for?" Alfred raised his sword. "Kill!"

"But what happens after Olaf comes back?" he asked somewhat uneasily.

Lance thought for a moment, then looked Alfred up and down.

"Don't move yet, let me give you a buff."

He raised his hand.

[Third Ring Spell - Haste!]

The pale blue light fell on Alfred, and he felt a lightness all over his body, as if a shackle had been removed.
