Even as the game of Rennes continued, Coulson did not stop struggling.

If he doesn't struggle now, he can hardly imagine how he will be criticized at the first Winter Games next year after Christmas.

After hanging up the phone, Coulson breathed a sigh of relief and smiled at Connor beside him, "Done."

Connor shrugged. "You'd better really get this sorted out. If we don't get this done by dawn, someone else will come and take care of us."

As he spoke, his gaze involuntarily drifted through the glass to the man on the hospital bed.

After treatment, Torbjörn's condition has stabilized.

But Connor was thinking, how could someone survive such horrific injuries? Just who was that person?

Then his gaze shifted to the side, where Yukihime was sitting quietly on a bench, leaning against his thigh.

Who is this woman?

Coulson refused to give him any information, leaving Connor to guess.

His guess was that this group of people might be from some secret department, but he didn't have the authority to find out.

The problem is, Coulson doesn't have as much authority as him...

Just as he was pondering, Coulson's phone rang again. After answering it, he could no longer hide the joy on his face.

"They did it!" Coulson exclaimed excitedly to Connor. "Let's go over there now."

Before Connor could react, he was dragged away.

"Hey buddy, shouldn't you tell me something?"

"Coulson, this is a helper I recently recruited. What do you think?"

A middle-aged man in a blue suit with slicked-back hair walked over with rhythmic steps.

"Nick Vance, the owner of Vance Group, you know, the one with your property management company."

"This is our weapons testing area. No outsiders will come here, so feel free to do as you please." After saying that, he turned his head to the other side: "Andrei, it's your turn to perform."

"Okay, boss!" The young man, who looked to be about the same age as a 12th grader, responded, then patted his lap and said, "Big guy, let's go."

It walked clumsily toward the testing area.

Platforms filled with firearms rise from all directions, ranging from light-firepower police pistols to heavy-firepower Browning machine guns.

Connor even caught a glimpse of a few individual rockets.

Each platform is also equipped with a robotic arm. After Nick asked Andre if he was ready and received a response, he operated it on his phone.

He turned to Coulson and Connor with a smile: "Watch closely."

As soon as he finished speaking, the robotic arm grabbed a gun from the side and began firing.

Connor's expression changed as he saw the guns firing in Andrei's direction. The young man made no attempt to dodge, but instead stood there with the monster beneath him, receiving the barrage of bullets.

"Hey, stop! This is murder!"

Rat-a-tat-tat! Flames burst forth, and spent cartridges flew everywhere.

Andrei's entire body was engulfed in a storm of bullets. Connor couldn't bear to watch any longer, so he turned his head away and covered his eyes with his hands.

After a long while, the gunfire stopped.

When Coulson and Connor looked onto the field, they saw Anderson covered in blood and gore.

He was shocked. This was too inhumane. They should at least have waited until he left before doing it!

But the next moment, his mouth gaped open and his body trembled.

Because Andrei, whom he judged to be dead, began to writhe, and then his wounds healed at a speed visible to the naked eye.

When he came to his senses, he found Andrei peeling off a layer of dead skin.

"Haha, scared you, huh? I was actually quite startled the first time too." Nick put his arm around the two of them, a smug smile on his face.

"I discovered Andrei at the university. He was supposed to graduate this year, but I admitted him early."

Nick pointed to Andrei's tattered clothes: "This kid can share anything. He plays games every day, but he's second in the whole grade. The first is his deskmate."

Coulson paused in his cigarette-lighting motion. "You don't mean to tell me..."

Before he could finish speaking, Connor interrupted, "He can share other people's learning abilities? How is that possible?"

Nick laughed heartily: "Right? I didn't believe it when I first met him either, but look."

A Barrett rifle, controlled by a robotic arm, fired, striking Andrei squarely in the brain.

Normally, this blow would be enough to kill someone three times over, but Andrei only had half of his face blown off, and it is healing rapidly.

"This guy," he pointed at Number One, "is a terrifying creature. Its body can learn and adapt to pain. As long as it's attacked, its defense and self-healing abilities will only get stronger. You know, at first I could just shoot through its skin with a pistol. But now, without any anti-materiel equipment, I can't do anything to it."

He took a deep breath and said, "It's terrifying. Thankfully, weapons are in the hands of civilization."

With this, the anomalies in Manhattan will no longer be a problem!
