Chapter 60 Bus in the Rain

Because of that man's heroic act, the bus was now in complete chaos.

The air inside the carriage was already unpleasant, but now, mixed with the sour smell of vomit all over the floor, it made people want to vomit even more. For a moment, screams and curses filled the air.

Bai Chen's eye twitched slightly, and he covered his nose with one hand, then pulled the window open a little further.

The rain was pouring down, so heavy that visibility was reduced to almost nothing. The whole world was shrouded in a hazy mist, as if enveloped in a fog of rainwater... Fog?

Unconsciously, Bai Chen paused for a moment.

Before he could think too much about it, the conductor sitting at the front of the bus came over, cursing and swearing, with a broom and toilet paper.

"I've told you so many times! I told you to check yourselves before getting on the bus, but you just wouldn't listen. Go and pack yourselves!!"

The flight attendant shoved a broom and toilet paper at the man, looking disgusted.

"If this happens again, you'll be the one to get off the bus!"

Perhaps feeling guilty, the older brother didn't say anything. After meekly agreeing, he squatted down and began cleaning up the stains on the floor and the chair bit by bit.

Unfortunately, his condition clearly did not improve; in fact, it worsened. But in order not to be kicked off the bus, he covered his mouth tightly with his hand.

During this process, the flight attendant simply stood there with her arms crossed and a cold smile, showing no intention of offering any help.

The environment inside the car had quieted down at some point, and everyone looked at the figure kneeling there, trying to cover his mouth with his hand. Some customers sitting in the front, unable to see him, even climbed onto the back of the seats with excited expressions.

...This was an extremely absurd and bizarre scene that appeared before Bai Chen.

It was like a grand trial, or a silent carnival. All eyes were on the eldest brother, as if they were waiting for something, or perhaps anticipating something.

Because they were so far away, a mother holding her child even climbed onto the shelf with her child in her arms, hanging on the shelf like a monkey, stretching her neck and looking in this direction. Her face showed not only some indescribable excitement, but also a hint of longing.

Even though the child in her arms was crying loudly, she paid no attention to it, as if she hadn't heard it at all.

Under the intense scrutiny of everyone, the older man became even more frightened, his whole body trembling uncontrollably, his hands moving shakily, and several times he forced himself to swallow the filth that had risen to his throat.

But the more he acted this way, the more excited the people around him became, and the colder the flight attendant's gaze grew. Anyone could tell that he couldn't hold on for much longer.

Just as he was in despair, a hand suddenly patted his shoulder. The palm of that hand seemed to carry a warm current, and with this movement, the warm current quickly flowed into his limbs and bones.

The next second, he was extremely surprised to find that the internal condition he had been unable to suppress was forcibly controlled... or rather, alleviated?

He turned his head blankly and looked behind him.

"Is there a fire?"

With a cigarette dangling from his mouth, the slightly immature-looking boy reached out his hand to him with a hint of embarrassment.

"...Yes, yes!!"

After a moment of stunned silence, he immediately reacted and, somewhat flustered, took the lighter out of his inner pocket. He almost trembled as he held it in both hands and handed it to the other person.

"Okay, thanks, I'll return it to you later."

After taking the lighter and giving him a somewhat nonchalant wave, the boy returned to his seat.

"Hurry up and clean."

Seemingly realizing something, the attendant glanced at the back seats with a somewhat gloomy expression before returning to the front of the carriage.

Seeing that there was no excitement to watch, the rest of the passengers returned to their original seats with disappointed expressions. In less than half a minute, the bus returned to "normal".

……perhaps?

With a stick of incense dangling from his mouth and a lighter in his hand, Bai Chen glanced at the shadows beneath his feet.

—In a pool of vomit that smelled sour, a bloodshot eyeball stared blankly at him.

.......................................

...I hate it here.

Looking ahead, the girl huddled in the back seat of the car looked disgusted.

Although it was pouring rain outside, the interior of the car was quite nice. It was a spacious six-seater with a large interior space, a small car refrigerator next to it, and a snack cabinet at the foot of the car.

And if she gets tired, she can even pull down the curtain and lie down on the seat to watch a movie... In other words, the car's design can meet almost all her needs.

If she wanted, she could even reach behind her and grab her favorite comic book right now.

But the more she felt this way, the more nauseous she became, to the point where she felt an urge to vomit.

The girl glanced at the two figures sitting in the driver's seat and remained expressionless.

"Xiao Qi? What's wrong? Are you feeling a little carsick?"

Noticing her change, the woman in the passenger seat turned her head with a worried expression.

"There are motion sickness patches in your bag next to you, do you want to try them? Or should I have your dad recline the chair so you can get a good night's sleep?"

"Need not."

With a cold expression, the girl turned to look out the window.

Although the rain was getting heavier, it wasn't dense. Looking out from inside the car, it looked more like a large, thick fog, enveloping everything.

...She hates rainy days.

Although she had verbally refused, the car slowed down noticeably, seemingly to be considerate of her feelings. The seat heater under her seat was turned on, making her feel warm all over. A soft, drowsy feeling, like mist, silently enveloped her.

The girl pinched herself hard, sat up straight, and pressed her cheek against the window.

The icy touch spread, instantly dispelling the fog.

Just then, a dilapidated bus silently emerged from the rain and mist behind, like a ghost, without making a sound.

Actually, the bus couldn't keep up with her vehicle at its snail's pace, but because the bus's speed was deliberately slowed down, the two vehicles were moving parallel to each other for a moment.

With a blank expression, the girl looked up and glanced at the bus.

...and then she fell silent.

Near the back of the bus, a boy with an envious and jealous expression raised his middle finger at her.

girl:"………"
