The Alchemist's Guide to Flesh and Blood Ascension

Chapter 62 Soft Persimmons and Hard Stubborn Things

"Olivia, let the other Purifiers hold him off... You have more important things to do," Uriel's phantom lit up again.

"Your Excellency, Bishop, please speak," Sister Olivia bowed, not daring to look up.

"In the shadows lurks an easier target than Yunevo. Take a small anti-magic stone and an elite squad, find them... and force Yunevo to the brink of defeat," Uriel said, his eyes narrowed and his tone filled with murderous intent.

"Sister! Obelisks... one obelisk has already been destroyed by that damned alchemist!" The Purifier who brought the news panted heavily, with a hint of relief at surviving a disaster.

The explosion followed immediately, plunging the entire church camp into complete shock and chaos!

The magic-suppressing aura dimmed by one-sixth, just like the psychological defenses of the cult members crumbling and shattering...

The alchemist who should have been a lamb to the slaughter... is now demonstrating to them what "the beauty of numbers" truly means!

"Damn it!" Olivia's brows furrowed. She quickly followed Uriel's instructions, drawing three relatively elite squads from the chaotic battlefield, grabbing a magic source compass, and heading straight outside the tent.

"Bishop Uriel told us to hold him off!"

"For my God—"

The believers' expressions became even more fanatical, and they fearlessly restrained the black figure's every move.

Sister Olivia, holding a compass, led three groups of people toward the azure blue dot at the twelve o'clock position—as Uriel had said, the magical fluctuations did not resemble those of a traditional mage.

Successfully capturing them might severely weaken Yunefu's forces.

An elite squad led by a priest named Huijie and two Templar Knights was moving silently toward the edge of the territory.

But they were always under the watchful gaze of a pair of sky-blue eyes...

"They've split up..." Iseria's voice was soft, but it reached everyone's ears clearly.

The ratman Nehta was observing the church camp's movements through a pair of light-blocking arcane telescopes, his rat tail slapping the ground excitedly: "Good, good! We were just worried about not being able to make a difference under the anti-magic field—"

"No, since they, who are in the open, have the audacity to come after us, who are in the shadows... they must have some kind of advantage," Iseria interrupted, crossing her arms in deep thought.

"It should be an anti-magic stone, a small one, one that can be carried around," she added, her black robe, the same style as Yunevo's, swaying slightly in the wind of the plain.

Iseria took the telescope from the ratman and looked at Yunev, who was fighting with two Templar Knights. She bit her lower lip—what else could she do?

Escaping from the lab...and then back to the Starmoke adventure...while hunting the "gargoyles"...

She is the darling of "Ether," or rather... she is "Ether" itself, the free fifth element.

"Iseria?" Tide Mage Tedes interrupted the pale-haired girl's recollection, continuing, "They are still 150 meters from the border, and the mages' preparations are complete..."

Iseria shook her head and lowered her voice: "Do you remember what I did for Yunevo back then? During the gargoyle hunt?"

"But this time, the anti-magic field is larger in scale and more complete in structure—"

"Yonev said it's just a change of name but not substance..." The girl raised her right hand, her slender fingertips flashing with sky-blue light.

It was just a simple arc, but it made the church team, who were still a hundred meters away from the boundary, stop in their tracks!

One more step forward, and I'll die...?

Was it an illusion? The three elite squads were filled with doubt.

"Keep moving forward," Olivia said coldly.

But Iseria's second move was already over...

Just like pulling the fuse and holding the detonator, the detonation action is exactly the same.

Eunice told her that this way they could set off fireworks.

……

Inside the anti-magic field, Yunevo was slamming the head of a Purifier against the ground, his face splattered with blood.

Rednas and Gordon, a Templar Knight wielding a heavy hammer, silently retreated, their breathing beneath their visors heavy as if they had just finished a marathon.

How many obelisks is this again...? Yunefu raised his head, blinked, and looked thoughtful.

Never mind, everything's going well.

Until the sky-colored light shot up.

The etheric elements throughout the world seemed to be singing a soft chorus.

He turned his head sharply and looked through his [Spirit Vision] towards the direction outside the anti-magic field—the elite squad led by Olivia was frozen in place as if time had been stopped!

The elite squad dared not make a move—the etheric elements were like sharp blades pressed against their throats, and they even managed to crush the small anti-magic stones they carried…

Iseria pulled down her hood, her face pale, her off-white hair fluttering in the wind...

She looked up at the five towering obelisks, her eyes filled with undisguised disgust.

So she raised her right hand again, and the bandage wrapped around it broke off piece by piece, revealing the deep blue patterns on her skin!

"Control the ether? Wishful thinking," it was as if a god was mocking, casually hurling a "punishment."

At the top of the anti-magic field, sky-colored flowers bloomed, or perhaps it was the "fireworks" she had seen at Tircol Academy...

The light from the remaining three obelisks went out simultaneously, and the runes engraved on their surfaces resembled children's scribbles, devoid of any sacred aura.

The two rune chains snapped, scattering silvery fragments across the entire battlefield!

Within the former anti-magic zone, some purifiers simply vanished without a trace...

The cultists, strangely, were completely unaware of the situation, and the battle continued.

Iseria blinked, and her indifferent expression vanished in an instant.

She looked at Ionevoy from afar and asked like a child hoping for praise, "How did I do?"

"Excellent! As a reward, you can have an extra frosting pudding every day." Yunevo dodged Gordon's heavy hammer and kicked the heavily armored shield warrior away.

"Well then... I can eat three cream jelly cakes every day, hehehe..." The girl smiled brightly, but something settled down in her sky-blue eyes.

She glanced at the mages who had already launched their counterattack and had been patiently waiting for so long, then turned and stepped down the earthen slope with light steps.

A thought that couldn't be simpler came to mind...

Ah... I guess Yonivore is still the best.

Then, the last trace of "divine" aura on her body vanished, and Iseria reverted to being that chattering girl with her eyes shining as she looked at the froze.

"Everyone... keep going!" She sensed the etheric elements becoming languid, silently crouched back down at the small mound, picked up her binoculars, and looked at the black figure in the distance.

"Especially Yonevo..."
