The Alchemist's Guide to Flesh and Blood Ascension
I've saved my complete collection from Chapter 1.
During a shady deal, Yonivo Sol's internal organs became "external filth," and the murderer was the Church.
But he didn't get a chance to be resurrected in a countdown.
On the verge of death, Yunefu, an alchemist, used a forbidden displacement array from his memories...
He replaced his internal organs with a completely new set to keep himself alive.
Late at night, in the alleys of the lower town of Hart City, south of the city.
On the ground, the twisted blood-red six-pointed star was cut off at the top and bottom by a horizontal line, eerie and ominous.
The yellowish coarse salt, representing the "flesh," mixed with blood, was thrown into the center by the blood-covered figure.
In an instant, the bursting crimson light engulfed everything.
Amidst the excruciating pain, akin to having ten fingernails ripped off, Yunevo felt that the system's ever-cold, mechanical voice was particularly jarring.
[Forbidden ritual completed. Congratulations, host, you have activated the deep protocol.]
Starting today, the Flesh and Blood Ascension System will unlock further features for you.
One dose of immune rejection injection has been automatically consumed for you.
Since its arrival, this system has only been responsible for recording every item it collects... whether it's herbs or monsters.
"Damn it, I thought you were just there to collect the illustrations..."
The cold body began to warm up, pulling Yonivo back to his senses. He stood up, grimacing, clutching his abdomen that had been "ripped open" a few seconds earlier, and muttered under his breath.
Even someone as clever as him couldn't have predicted that the Church would be willing to use the anti-magic stone as a "sack" to trap him, and then send a group of Templar Knights to ambush and kill him.
He tried to spit out a few mouthfuls of blood and foam, trying to get rid of the lingering herbal taste in his mouth—the backup plans he had prepared for in case of emergency had finally come in handy.
The conflict between the church and alchemists is becoming increasingly severe... Even someone as well-known as myself has become an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire.
A glint flashed in Yunevo's eyes, then he breathed a sigh of relief—the restrictions at the stronghold had not yet been triggered, and he had to rush back immediately to transfer those precious assets.
The next moment, he abruptly stopped jogging, his expression grave.
The faint scraping sound of light metal armor came from the dimly lit alleyway. The footsteps were deliberately slowed down, but were still clear.
A suppressed and dissatisfied low voice drifted in between the sounds: "...just to verify a corpse that was almost cut in half at the waist?"
The final blow, the possibility that Yonivo least wanted to happen, still came.
His heart sank; all his belongings had already been taken from him.
In this straight alleyway... how do we fight the enemy, and what do we use to fight them?
Out of the corner of his eye, Yoniv caught a glimpse of the tangled granulation tissue at the site of his wound. After the itching subsided, his skin was smooth as before.
...Punch them until they're scared?
In the shadows, his fists clenched so tightly they trembled, his eyes fixed intently ahead.
The two apprentice knights sent by the church have been exposed to the dim light.
Two apprentice knights... truly befitting the arrogant structure of the church, which summons its subordinates in layers.
They carried silver daggers and had two bottles of fuel hanging from their waists, moving forward leisurely as if they didn't care about the autopsy.
[Current non-human organ's skill: Corrosive Spray]
"Corrosive spit...?" Yunefu's furrowed brows relaxed for only a moment; the current situation did not allow him to continue thinking!
Suddenly, a violent feeling of nausea struck—stomach acid churned like a tsunami, instantly rising to my throat.
He instinctively opened his mouth as wide as possible, and a staggering amount of scorching green acid gushed out!
"Finn, enemy attack!" The apprentice knight's cry of pain reached the ears of the charging Yunevo, and the acrid smell of corroding metal gradually filled the air.
Another apprentice knight's short sword pierced Yonivo's right lung. He groaned and reached out to protect the pierced wound, allowing it to heal subtly under the powerful life force!
Instead of decreasing, his speed increased under the stimulation of adrenaline, and he swept past the two of them in just a few seconds before plunging headfirst into the sewer at the end, which reeked of stench and where the squeaks of hungry rats could be heard!
"Damn it, Raymond..." Finn crouched down, his trembling fingertips brushing over the still melting gap in his light armor. His gaze lingered on his companion, who was clutching his face and wailing, his voice trembling.
"Help me! Quick, take me back to the church, report to Bishop Uriel!" Large patches of skin peeled off Raymond's face, and he was retching as Finn supported him as they retreated toward the alleyway where not a trace of blood remained.
"Then...what about the body?"
"Just say he's dead! Utterly dead! He had the anti-magic mark on him and crawled into that sewer teeming with hungry rats!"
"us……"
"If the church investigates, we'll be the first to die! We're just here to confirm his death! Understand?"
……
On a street, Ionevoy, wearing a hood, leaned against a wall, coughing violently.
He reeked of the stench emanating from the sewers, which conveniently masked the faint smell of blood on his body. As he walked back as usual, he was stopped by an abrupt wall.
The wall stood perfectly upright, with fresh traces of construction still visible, separating the narrow path that connects the rich and poor areas.
"Why bother with all that?" Yunevo spat out a mouthful of acid without a care in the world.
It was still the same street corner he knew. Under the misty morning air, the freshly baked dark bread from the bakery emitted a faint aroma of wheat.
Amidst the intermittent hammering sounds from the blacksmith's shop, Yonivo suppressed his nausea and pretended to be normal as he brushed past several early-rising craftsmen.
Damn it... could there be some spies lying in wait here...?
After all, Yoni's whereabouts are usually very unpredictable, so the church will probably take measures to "block both ends".
"No..." He stopped and stood at the outer wall of the apartment, his eyes flashing like threads, pointing to several hidden flower pots.
The "alarm device" he planted, the alchemical plant "Tranquil Orchid," has disappeared!
But the restriction was not triggered?
Yunevo gritted his teeth and rushed towards the apartment, heading straight into the abandoned ventilation shaft. After many twists and turns, he finally entered the dark alley leading to the stronghold.
The doorknob of the outpost was still angled downwards, and the triple rune lock was still in place. He secretly breathed a sigh of relief, skillfully unlocked the door, pushed it open, turned on the light, and then stepped over the stairs.
He felt as if he had just experienced a long-awaited physical fitness test, and he felt like he had completely lost half his life.
After all, before he transmigrated, he was just a graduate student who had only been enrolled for a short time.
The centrifuge was running at 12,000 revolutions per minute, but it wasn't balanced, and blood splattered everywhere.
Driven by his obsession with balancing, he, as a member of the Juniper family, concocted many excellent potions and gradually began to make a name for himself in the city of Hart.
There were many orders, but due to the church's complete ban on non-governmental businesses, he chose to conduct the transactions in secluded, dark alleys.
But as the saying goes, if you walk by the river long enough, you're bound to get your shoes wet.
Yonivore considers himself a vengeful person, and now that he has recovered, he is determined to replace the organs of those epic monsters in one go and burn the church to ashes!
It was all thanks to my innate collecting habit, inherited from my previous life, combined with the organ atlas provided by the early system, that I watched as the small black and white locked cards lit up one by one...
The sense of accomplishment is absolutely amazing!
A slight smile appeared on Yonivore's face, but it quickly froze in an instant.
He was greeted by what appeared to be the destitute interior of a "mansion"!
The bookshelf collapsed, the notes and manuscripts disappeared, the counter was in disarray, and the precious metals and medicinal herbs were all taken!
Not to mention his treasured monster organs.
Those monster organs that cost a fortune and risked their lives to acquire, along with the priceless storage tanks, were all looted!
All that remained in the entire storage room were a few copper coins, coins used to mourn him and pay tribute to him!
That damned church... did they think he was doomed? No ambush, no eliminating the threat completely... the whole assassination plan was a complete disaster!
"Haha...you damn..." Yunefu laughed in anger, the relief of surviving the ordeal in his eyes turning to ashes.
He swept the torn paper award pieces off the ground with his leg, and in the dead silence there was only the sound of slow breathing, until his clenched fist completely relaxed.
Yonivore turned and left the storage room, picking up the powdered basic consumables that had spilled on the table and pouring it into a few relatively intact glass bottles.
He left the stronghold quickly, his face showing no emotion whatsoever.
"I will burn the church to ashes sooner or later."
The most pressing issue now is... how to start from scratch again.
