Jiang Yingyue skipped and jumped into Lin Chen's room, just as Lin Chen came out of the Creation Pearl.

Her eyes lit up, and she immediately rushed over and hugged his arm: "Honey, honey, there are tigers in Changbai Mountain! There are big tigers in Changbai Mountain! Let's go catch a tiger!"

Lin Chen looked at her suspiciously: "Where did this tiger come from?"

Jiang Yingyue excitedly recounted the information she had gathered from the soldiers in the camp.

Lin Chen was already in a great mood after listening to her, having just completed the upgrade of the Creation Pearl. Seeing her speaking with great enthusiasm, he did not refuse.

He patted her head and nodded, saying, "Okay, no problem."

Liang Siqi happened to push the door open and came in. Hearing the last sentence, she casually asked, "What? No problem?"

Jiang Yingyue excitedly recounted the tiger story to her again, and finally took her hand, saying, "Sister Siqi, do you want to come with us?"

Liang Siqi smiled and shook her head: "I won't go."

Lin Chen thought for a moment and said, "Siqi, then you lead the team to Bincheng tomorrow, and Yingyue and I will follow you."

Liang Siqi nodded: "Okay."

---------

The next morning, the main force, led by Liang Siqi, set off for Bincheng with Commander Shen.

Lin Chen rode on Yuanzai, carrying Jiang Yingyue, and sped off towards Changbai Mountain.

Soon, Yuanzai carried Lin Chen and Jiang Yingyue deep into the heart of Changbai Mountain, where the snow grew thicker and the forests became denser.

As the altitude increases, the coniferous forests gradually thin out, replaced by exposed rocks and permafrost.

Jiang Yingyue wrapped her arms around Lin Chen's waist, her eyes constantly scanning the surroundings.

"Honey, where is the tiger?" she asked anxiously. They had been there for almost three hours and hadn't seen a tiger, let alone any zombies or zombie beasts.

Lin Chen squinted. This strange situation could only mean that a powerful mutated beast or a superhuman had appeared here: "It should be soon."

He used his divine power to extend his perception outwards, and the life force within a radius of several miles appeared one by one.

Suddenly, he frowned, patted Yuanzai's head, and signaled it to slow down.

Ahead lies Changbai Mountain's Heavenly Lake.

The crater lake froze into a giant ice mirror in the extreme cold, surrounded by gray-white volcanic rocks and snow.

Lin Chen stopped Yuanzai on a high ground at the edge of Tianchi Lake, then climbed down and led Jiang Yingyue to the edge of the cliff.

Something is moving on the ice surface of Tianchi Lake.

Not one, but two.

A massive Siberian tiger stood on the ice, its tawny fur standing out starkly against the greyish-white skylight.

It is nearly two meters tall at the shoulder, at least four meters long, with slightly bent hind legs, an arched back, and a deep roar coming from its throat.

Opposite it was a giant snake.

The snake was entirely black, its scales gleaming with a bluish light in the reflection of the ice.

Its body is as thick as a bucket and its length is estimated to be over ten meters. It sits on the ice, its triangular head held high, and its scarlet tongue flicks in and out.

Its eyes are vertical pupils, golden in color, facing off against the tiger's red pupils on the ice.

Most importantly, it has two bulges on its head, which is the size of a bull's head.

"Husband..." Jiang Yingyue covered her mouth, her eyes wide, "What kind of snake is that?"

"It should be a jiao-serpent." Lin Chen narrowed his eyes. "Or rather, a serpent that is mutating into a jiao."

Territorial battles between mutated beasts are not uncommon in the post-apocalyptic world.

Lin Chen had no intention of stopping their battle; instead, he became a spectator with great interest.

The battle has begun on the ice.

The Siberian tiger launched the first attack, its massive body bursting with speed disproportionate to its size as it pounced on the serpent.

The serpent dodged to the side, then swept its tail across, striking the tiger's hind leg.

The tiger staggered, but its front paws had already landed on the snake's body, its sharp claws digging deep into the gaps between the scales, tearing off a large chunk of flesh.

The serpent hissed in pain, its body twisting violently as it tried to entangle the tiger.

The tiger had clearly learned its lesson before; after landing a successful attack, it immediately jumped back to create distance.

Dark red blood gushed from the serpent's wound, dripping onto the ice surface, steaming, and quickly congealing.

Jiang Yingyue gripped Lin Chen's sleeve tightly, staring wide-eyed. Lin Chen remained silent, his gaze fixed on the battle unfolding on the ice.

The tiger circled the serpent, searching for a weakness.

The serpent moved slowly, maintaining its standoff with the tiger. Neither dared to make another move.

After a standoff lasting several dozen seconds, the serpent suddenly made an unexpected move. It abandoned its confrontation with the tiger and turned to swim towards the side of the ice, heading straight for the center of Tianchi Lake.

The tiger hesitated for a moment, then gave chase.

But the serpent is much faster in water than on ice. Its body slid into a crack in the ice and disappeared into the dark lake.

The tiger stopped at the edge of the crack, growling restlessly, its claws scratching at the ice, sending up a spray of ice shards.

It dared not go into the water, but was unwilling to give up.

Jiang Yingyue asked softly, "Did the snake get away?"

"No." Lin Chen stared at the lake surface. "It's waiting down there."

As soon as he finished speaking, the ice surface suddenly burst open, and the serpent broke through the ice from another position, its huge head heading straight for the tiger's side.

The tiger reacted extremely quickly, rolling to the side to barely dodge the attack, but its hind leg was struck by the snake's tail, leaving it with a gaping wound.

The tiger roared and turned to bite the snake's tail. The snake, in pain, thrashed violently, trying to throw the tiger off.

But the tiger held on tightly, its claws carving deep furrows into the ice, refusing to let go. The serpent, too, fiercely coiled itself around the tiger.

Two colossal beasts entangled on the ice, their roars and hisses mingling together, causing several avalanches to erupt from the snow-capped peaks surrounding Tianchi Lake.

Lin Chen shielded Jiang Yingyue and took a few steps back.

"Yingyue, wait here." As soon as he finished speaking, he appeared not far from the tiger and the serpent.

The two beasts, who were originally locked in a struggle, both turned to look at him.

Lin Chen smiled and strolled towards them.

They sensed a strong threat from Lin Chen and surprisingly released each other, watching him warily.

Seeing this, Lin Chen exclaimed, "Not bad, not bad, they actually possess quite a bit of intelligence."

His gaze swept over the two beasts: "Submit to me, and I'll guarantee you a life of luxury, how about that?"

The tiger was the first to express its dissatisfaction, growling softly at Lin Chen and making attack gestures.

The serpent was not to be outdone; it coiled its body, retracted its head, and prepared to gather its strength.

Seeing both beasts assume an attack stance and even appear to be joining forces, Lin Chen raised an eyebrow and smiled wickedly: "What? You're unwilling? Looks like I'll have to beat you into submission!"
