Apocalypse: The Primordial Pearl Recognizes Its Master, Starting with Infinite Space
Chapter 120 Lin Chen really didn't lie to me, there really is delicious food!
Mountain and Water Garden Shelter.
Lin Chen stopped not far from the shelter, and with a thought, Duan Rong and her group were moved out of the Creation Pearl space.
One second they were still immersed in the spring-like warmth of the space, the next second, a biting cold wind mixed with snowflakes rushed towards them, making Tan Zhaohui and the others shiver.
With his current strength, he is no longer afraid of the risk of the secrets of his space being leaked.
"Go over there and line up to register," Lin Chen said, pointing to the long, winding queue at the shelter's entrance.
There were mostly teachers and students who were rescued from the university ruins today, wrapped in all sorts of warm clothes, waiting in the cold wind to enter their new homes.
"Let's go." Lin Chen nodded to Duan Rong, Tian Tian, and Hu Shanshan, and led them straight towards the inner city.
After settling the three people in front of the recruitment table of the twins Bai Xin and Bai Jie, he turned and entered the underground shelter that was under expansion.
Underground, the six members of the Hua Hua group have carved out a considerable area.
The newly excavated soil was piled up to one side, while the previously completed room, now connected to water and electricity, looked much neater.
Upon seeing Lin Chen, Hua Hua immediately greeted him, "Brother Lin, hurry up and take away this new soil, otherwise Xiao He will have to spend time making mud walls again, which will delay the progress."
"Okay." Lin Chen stepped forward, lightly touched the mound of earth with his palm, and with a thought, a large amount of soil was instantly moved into the Creation Pearl.
"By the way, Brother Lin," another girl reminded him, wiping her sweat, "the plumber said before he left that if we could do some simple renovations, even just putting up some wallpaper, it would feel much better to live in, and it would also be more moisture-proof."
"That makes sense." Lin Chen suddenly realized and immediately began searching through the mountain of containers in the Creation Pearl space.
Soon, he found a whole roll of moisture-proof wallpaper, floor mats, and a lot of paint in a shipping container.
"I'll have someone come tomorrow and put these to use." He took out the materials.

In the evening, the expanded cafeteria was bustling with activity.
Li Ya's team also returned after completing the cleanup mission.
The cooks were already extremely busy, but fortunately Liang Siqi and her sisters, who were still not fully awakened, came early to help and managed to prepare the food before everyone rushed in.
Others received a large amount of bedding from Lin Chen and went to decorate the newly excavated rooms.
When Lin Chen led the tired but satisfied Hua Hua and others into the cafeteria, he immediately spotted Li Ya sitting in the corner, looking restless.
The food in front of her was barely touched, and her eyes were unfocused as she stared at something.
Lin Chen frowned, walked over quickly, gently took Li Ya's wrist, and led her to a relatively quiet little room next to the cafeteria.
"Xiaoya, what's wrong?" The voice was full of concern.
"Brother Lin, I..." Li Ya's voice choked as she opened her mouth. She suddenly threw herself into Lin Chen's arms, her shoulders trembling slightly, and her tears silently soaked his clothes.
"Tell me," Lin Chen said, feeling a little uneasy as she cried. He gently patted her back. "Who made you suffer? Tell me."
Hearing the commotion, Liang Siqi came over and gently pushed the door open to enter.
"Siqi, you've come at the right time. Quickly, ask Xiaoya what's wrong with her." Lin Chen said helplessly. Li Ya was just crying and wouldn't say anything.
Upon seeing Liang Siqi, Li Ya seemed to have found a sister she could confide in, and her emotions calmed down a bit.
She wiped away her tears and, sobbing, recounted the warning text message her father, Li Zhenbang, had sent, and how her reply had gone unanswered.
"So Xiaoya misses her dad." Liang Siqi held Li Ya's cold hand, her tone gentle and understanding.
She has a deep understanding of the entanglements and struggles of family relationships.
"Then... shall we go and pick up your dad tonight?" Lin Chen suggested, looking at Li Ya's red eyes.
"But," Li Ya lowered her head, her fingers twisting together, "I don't want to see my aunts, my brothers and sisters..."
Liang Siqi gently put her arm around Li Ya's shoulder and comforted her, "Don't be so sad. Xiao Ya, the fact that your father can still send text messages means that he is at least safe for now."
"Since the Chang family wants to use him to restrain you, they won't let anything happen to him easily before they actually make a move against us."
"We still have time to think about the safest way to get your father out, without forcing you to face someone you don't want to see."
Lin Chen nodded: "Siqi is right. Bringing your father over is easy. The problem is whether he's willing to leave alone. If he's willing, I can bring him over anytime. The key questions now are, what do you want to do? And, what does he really think?"
He looked at Li Ya and proposed a more direct solution: "Or, without alerting anyone else, let's quietly go see your father tonight and ask him about his situation and thoughts in person."
Li Ya raised her moist eyes: "Is...this okay? Wouldn't it be too dangerous?"
Lin Chen's lips curled into a slight smile: "Have you forgotten my spatial teleportation ability? As long as I know the approximate location, coming and going is just a matter of a moment. There's no danger."
Listening to their calm words and feeling their unreserved support, the cold, tangled mess in Li Ya's heart seemed to be infused with a little warmth, and slowly loosened up a bit.
She took a deep breath, then slowly exhaled, and nodded vigorously: "Okay."
When the three returned to the cafeteria, it was already bustling with noise and filled with steam.
The aroma of freshly cooked food mingled with the warmth of the gathered crowd, creating a world apart from the harsh winter outside.
The newly joined Cheng Meier, Duan Rong, Tian Tian, and others were so moved that they shed tears when they finally got to eat hot food.
The little foodie Hu Shanshan was already showing off, her little mouth constantly chewing and swallowing at an astonishing speed.
He kept muttering to himself, "Lin Chen, he really wasn't lying to me, there really is delicious food!"
Lin Chen led Li Ya to a relatively quiet corner to sit down.
Liang Siqi got up to get her food, while Lin Chen kept an eye on Li Ya.
Although she had calmed down a bit, a thin mist still lingered between her brows. She simply lowered her head and slowly stirred the hot soup in the bowl with a spoon.
The surrounding area was filled with the buzzing of conversations, a mixture of relief at surviving the ordeal and hope for a new beginning.
Many new faces were excitedly sharing their observations of the day or looking forward to their future lives.
"I heard a lot of people came in today," a girl at the next table said to her companion. "Just the ones that Sister Ya and her friends brought back from the university town, there's a huge crowd."
"Absolutely," his companion said, shoveling food into his mouth. "Sister Bai Xin's recruitment drive hasn't stopped either. I just passed by the recruitment area, and the line was still incredibly long. I reckon there must be at least 2,500 or 2,600 new recruits joining today."
"Now our inner city team's total number of people is probably going to exceed five thousand, right?" The little girl's voice was filled with amazement. "This growth rate is like a snowball rolling downhill."
Another girl chimed in, "The cleanup around the university town is almost done. We probably won't see many more good things like this in the future. But, many hands make light work, it's always good."
These conversations drifted into Lin Chen's ears.
His expression remained calm, showing little emotion.
The resources in the university town are about to come to an end, and the rate of personnel replenishment may slow down in the future, but Lin Chen doesn't care.
At the current rate of Creation Crystal production, it would take him more than a month to fully awaken all these people.
When that time comes, this legion, composed entirely of high-level superhumans, will truly become an unshakeable force in this wasteland.
Even in the end times, what is there to fear?
He looked up at Li Ya across from him, his voice calm yet reassuring: "Let's eat first. We'll leave after we finish eating about your father."
Li Ya met his gaze, and the certainty in his eyes seemed to dispel some of the gloom in her heart.
She gave a soft "hmm," finally picked up her chopsticks, and began to seriously deal with the food in her bowl.
