The dragon egg cracked open, revealing a dragon's head, and then Hilo heard a sound.

"...Selphia Novi Silverstar..."

The voice was clear, melodious, and had a slightly distant, cool, and youthful quality.

Hilo turned her head and saw that it was her sister!

Yeah, better than my brother, hehe.

The remaining half of its body was still inside the dragon egg, but it didn't look like the silver dragon from the inherited memories.

Without a mohawk like Silver Dragon's, I really don't understand why the West considers the mohawk hairstyle elegant.

But her younger sister Novi didn't have that; she had a rooster-comb-like hairstyle on her head.

It has a long neck and three pairs of horns on its head that point backward like scimitars.

Its body was covered in shiny, silvery-gray scales.

It looks much better than the silver dragon I remember.

Suddenly, Shiloh realized that she herself seemed to have never seen what she looked like.

There were no mirrors in the stone chamber, nor any reflections from the puddle, and Hilo didn't seem to care much about what he looked like.

Seeing her younger sister Novi's appearance, she raised her paw and touched her head, realizing that she didn't seem to have that ugly mohawk hairstyle either. (See author's profile picture for details)

Then I should be different from ordinary silver dragons, just like Novi.

Hilo and Novi are both considered to be different types of silver dragons, and their lineage comes from silver dragons, but they are just a bit more talented.

Novi's talent is still unknown, but it's estimated to be quite strong.

Thinking that she didn't have that strange hairstyle, Shiloh felt a sense of familiarity with the three dire wolves in front of her.

Novi glimpsed the first ray of light through the crack in the dark egg; it was very dim.

"Could it be nighttime?" Novi wondered, since silver dragons liked to place their eggs in the clouds.

It is both safe and in line with the habits of silver dragons.

It wasn't until she peeked out that she realized it didn't seem to be above the clouds.

Instead, it is a stone chamber with an entrance.

Not seeing her parents shouldn't be like this, but it was the truth. Novi's heart sank. She felt that her parents were either in grave danger or tied up in something and unable to get away.

There was not much food around, only a pile of bones in the corner and a little bit of leftover meat.

That's definitely not enough for the newborn dragon chicks, so she had no choice but to turn around and nibble on the eggshells on the ground.

The food tasted great. As I ate, I could hear sounds coming from the cave entrance: the sounds of burning, collisions, fighting, and roars.

She immediately became alert, staring warily at the dark cave entrance.

The noise stopped after a while, and then a silver tail was seen peeking out from the small hole.

Novi squinted, stopped eating, and prepared to attack the unknown creature at the cave entrance at any moment.

But soon, she saw a strange silver dragon dragging in a charred creature.

It looks like a wolf?

The strange silver dragon had some bite marks, but they weren't deep. Given the dragon's physical strength and regenerative abilities, it would probably recover overnight.

After settling the dire wolf, Shiloh turned around and saw her sister, Novi.

He sat upright on the ground.

"Hello, I'm your... brother, Shiloh. Let's get acquainted," Shiloh said.

When Novi heard Shiro say that he was her brother, she relaxed, as she had already suspected it.

However, this silver dragon did look strange, much better looking than ordinary silver dragons, so she couldn't be sure for a moment.

After quickly swallowing the rest of the eggshell, Novi finally had time to introduce herself to Shiloh: "I'm Novi, your sister."

Upon hearing this, Hilo dragged the dire wolf he had just taken and placed it in front of Novi.

He gestured for her to eat it. Normally, this kind of work was done by Yinlong's parents, but Yinlong's parents were nowhere to be found.

This task fell to Hilo.

Hilo suddenly felt incredibly amazing, being a father, a mother, and a brother all at the same time.

Novi saw the dire wolf on the ground and didn't hesitate. The eggshell she had just eaten was only enough to supplement her nutrition. She sniffed the dire wolf a couple of times and then opened her mouth to gnaw on it.

Taking small sips, Hilo found it very elegant.

While Novi was eating wolf meat, Shiloh leaned closer and smelled Novi's scent.

It's sweet, with a slight rainy smell, a very faint taste.

It seems that she had gotten into a habit of licking dragon eggs before, and Shiloh opened her mouth and licked Novi's head.

Novi's body stiffened, and her tail straightened instantly.

The dragon head shrank back, staring in disbelief at the magnificent silver dragon in front of it, which was a size larger than itself.

Feeling a little embarrassed by Novi's stare, Shiloh took a half step back.

"Novi, keep eating. I just accidentally..." Hilo said with an awkward laugh, his dragon face contorted.

Novi was actually full, and a wave of drowsiness washed over her.

By some strange twist of fate, perhaps the first creature she saw upon waking was Hilo, and she felt a great sense of security.

He drifted off to Shiloh's side, found a comfortable spot, and lay down.

He licked the wound on Shiloh's neck that the wolf leader had left when Shiloh fought the dire wolves and was killed in the process.

This was to express her gratitude to Hilo and for his care, even though she didn't know where the stone chamber was.

However, for such a battle to occur at the entrance, it must be in a dangerous place. It must have been extremely difficult for my brother to survive his first dragon sleep in such a place and be able to hunt for food.

Then she curled up next to Shiloh's body and fell into a deep sleep.

Hilo watched Novi enter the Dragon's Sleep and quietly left her side.

There are still two dire wolf carcasses outside that haven't been dragged in.

Drag the wolf carcasses into the stone chamber one by one, then use your breath to freeze the two dire wolf carcasses and the half that Novi had left over.

There are two and a half dire wolves in total.

If we eat these sparingly, they should last quite a while.

Hilo arrived at the cave entrance, staring at the hole, thinking about how to seal it up, otherwise it would be too dangerous.

If any creature with strong stealth abilities were to reach the entrance of the cave, neither Novi nor she would be able to detect it.

After thinking for a moment, Hilo took another deep breath of icy cold air and exhaled it from top to bottom.

Even after sealing the entire cave entrance, Hilo felt it was still a bit too thin, and after a while, another breath of dragon fire came out.

It tapped the ice wall with its front paws. It was thick enough to keep out creatures from the outside for a while, preventing them from coming after it.

Hilo returned to Novi's side, lay down next to her again, and stretched out his dragon wings to cover Novi beneath him.

Then she closed her eyes as well, as if she had found her home and a bond.

The creature under the dragon's wings is his younger sister. He needs to survive in this threatening dungeon and keep Novi alive.

Then leave this dark and oppressive dungeon.

He longed to soar freely through the sky and gaze upon the stars and the sea.

He wanted to find out why his parents had disappeared and why they had abandoned him and his sister in this dark and hopeless underground city.

All of this became increasingly complex and confusing on the ground, amidst the struggle for supremacy among countless races.

With these thoughts in mind, Hilo fell into a deep sleep.
