Hogwarts: My Grandmother is the Queen
Chapter 40 The Troll! In the Underground Classroom!
Many people's impression of Hagrid is limited to his tall stature, his honest and simple personality, his tight-lipped nature, and his role as a master of legicaturing.
But everyone has overlooked one point: what kind of imperial position Hagrid holds in the Forbidden Forest.
Although he wasn't very popular in the wizarding world, he had a lot of influence in the Forbidden Forest.
Do you know the Eight-Eyed Giant Spider? It's one of the thousands of Class 5X dangerous creatures in the Forbidden Forest, according to the Ministry of Magic. Their leader, Aragog, was once Hagrid's "little darling."
As for others, needless to say, such as the centaurs, they have a good relationship with him.
Coupled with his warm and kind personality and loyalty to his friends, it's indeed hard to dislike him.
"Speaking of which, I do know about this." Daphne put down her knife and fork and said slowly, "It seems that Weasley and Granger had a fight in Charms class because of something, and they said some very hurtful things. When I went to the restroom just now, I thought I heard Granger crying in the stall."
"Ha, Weasley..." Draco said with an expression of utter disgust. "Let me guess, it must be his problem, right?"
"I don't know," Daphne said, shaking her head, and picked up her knife and fork again to continue eating.
Just as Henry forked a piece of roasted potato, Professor Quirrell suddenly burst through the door and staggered into the Great Hall.
His large scarf was askew on his head, and his face was full of terror.
Everyone stared at him as he walked over to Professor Dumbledore's chair, leaned against the table, and said breathlessly, "The trolls—in the underground classrooms—I thought you should know that."
After saying that, he collapsed to the floor and lost consciousness.
The auditorium fell silent for a moment, then erupted into chaos. Screams, gasps, the screeching of chairs scraping the floor, and the clatter of cutlery falling created a sea of panic.
"Bang—crash!" The plate shattered, dessert splattered, and several nearby Hufflepuff girls screamed.
Henry's surroundings weren't much better off. Draco was so terrified he was practically a meme, yelling like a groundhog going with the flow. Pansy was pale, her hands gripping her knife and fork tightly, as if the cutlery could protect her. Daphne's face had turned deathly pale, her eyes wide open.
In the auditorium, it seemed that only Henry did not take the matter seriously. He sat there, slowly and deliberately eating his roasted potato.
While Draco and the other two were terrified, they couldn't help but swallow hard when they saw Henry's calm and composed demeanor, as if the Alps were collapsing before them.
"Your Highness..." Draco forced himself to calm down, "Aren't you...aren't you afraid of trolls?"
"Wasting food is a bad habit, Draco." Henry smiled at Draco, picked up a napkin, and slowly and elegantly dabbed his lips. "Besides, even the most powerful dark wizard wouldn't dare to rush into Hogwarts and confront Headmaster Dumbledore, let alone a troll."
"Oh...oh!" Draco exclaimed in realization.
No matter how much someone dislikes Dumbledore, they will never question his abilities.
if not?
Why didn't Voldemort, in his prime, come to Hogwarts and fight Dumbledore?
Is it that you don't want to?
Daphne and Pansy exchanged a glance, both seeing the admiration in each other's eyes.
As expected of His Highness!
That kind of mindset alone is something we could all learn from for years!
At the faculty and staff seating area, Professor Dumbledore had to make his wand explode with purple sparks several times before everyone quieted down.
"Prefects!" Professor McGonagall abruptly stood up, her face ashen. She pointed her wand at her throat, her voice booming like thunder, drowning out all the noise. "Lead your students back to their dormitories immediately! Maintain order! Now!"
The prefects of the four colleges snapped out of their daze and stood up, shouting in an attempt to quell the panicked students in their respective colleges.
The crowd began to surge, pushing and shoving each other, rushing towards the exits like a frightened herd of animals, and order was on the verge of collapse.
Henry stood up, turned around and grabbed Daphne's wrist, who was looking somewhat bewildered.
"Your...Your Highness?" Daphne asked, somewhat flustered.
"Come with me first, we'll go find Headmaster Dumbledore." Henry's tone was firm and left no room for argument.
Daphne was already at a loss, and let Henry pull her along, against the flow of people rushing towards the Slytherin exit, struggling to squeeze towards the faculty seats at the front of the Great Hall.
Panicked classmates kept bumping into him, and someone shouted, "You're in the wrong place!" But Henry ignored them, his eyes fixed on the teachers' table.
Dumbledore had stood up, and the usual gentle smile on his face had disappeared, replaced by a solemn and dignified expression.
He was speaking rapidly to Professor McGonagall and Professor Sprout beside him, and the professors nodded, their wands already in their hands.
Professor Snape vanished from his seat like a giant black bat when Quirrell collapsed, and was nowhere to be seen—he didn't seem to have gone in the direction of the underground classroom.
Henry finally managed to squeeze near the faculty and staff table, where it was relatively more spacious.
He took a deep breath and called out in as clear and loud a voice as possible, but not in a rude way, "Professor Dumbledore! Professor McGonagall!"
Amid the chaos, his voice didn't stand out, but Dumbledore turned his head almost immediately, his eyes instantly locking onto the Slytherin freshman who was coming against the flow, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.
Professor McGonagall looked over, her brow furrowed. "Mr. Wells? Get back to your college ranks! Immediately!"
"Professor!" Henry quickened his pace and raised his voice to make sure he could be heard in the noise, "Daphne just told me that when she went to the restroom, she heard Miss Granger from Gryffindor crying in her stall."
Dumbledore's pupils contracted slightly. Professor McGonagall's expression instantly turned even more grim: "Granger? She's not in the Great Hall?"
"She didn't attend the party, Professor!" Daphne quickly added. "I'm pretty sure of that."
"The restroom?" Professor McGonagall repeated urgently, her hand already gripping her wand tightly. "Which one specifically?"
"The abandoned girls' restroom on the second floor," Daphne replied.
Professor McGonagall gasped.
"Minerva," Dumbledore's voice rang out, carrying an undeniable authority, "you and the other professors immediately go to the underground classrooms to assess the situation, bring the situation under control, evacuate students along the route, and ensure the safety of the main passageways."
"But Granger—" Professor McGonagall said urgently.
"I'll go." Dumbledore interrupted her, looking at the two young wizards: "Henry, Daphne, the information you provided is crucial, well done. Now, immediately return to your house ranks and follow your prefects back to the common room. Do not linger, do not be alone."
"Yes, Professor!" Henry replied without hesitation, grabbing Daphne's arm, who was still somewhat dazed, and turning to plunge back into the crowd.
