Legendary Knights Starting with Oz
Chapter 2 Escape
Having lost nine Core Medals, Regedo's body instantly crumbled, reverting to a pile of Cell Medals that fell to the ground.
One of the most inconspicuous 'cell coins' fell to the ground and rolled under the table.
Wang showed no interest in the pile of Cell Coins on the ground, but instead looked at the nine Core Coins between his tiger paws.
"Hmm? A core coin without a design?"
Behind him, five greedy people watched this scene silently.
"Could it be a semi-finished product?"
Kazali exclaimed in surprise upon seeing the nine core coins.
"Can a half-finished core coin also breed greedy individuals?"
The original OZ placed the Regedo Core Medals into the OZ Belt one by one, and after scanning them with the coin scanner, there was still no reaction.
"It seems to be a failure indeed."
Seeing this, even the original Oz had to think so. However, being naturally suspicious, he did not use the nine core coins to restore Legend. After all, this was something Kara had been researching behind his back. Having just dealt with Kara, who knew what other tricks this new Greedy might have up his sleeve.
Just in case, he thought it best to seal the coins away.
Picking up the coin storage box that had fallen to the ground, and looking at the ten slots on it, the original Oz's heart skipped a beat. He quickly filled the box with nine coins, making sure the five greedy people behind him didn't see what was inside.
He then carefully observed the entire secret chamber with his eagle eye, secretly searching for the missing tenth coin. After confirming that he had not detected any fluctuations from the core coin, he felt slightly relieved.
He was well aware of how greed arises.
Each core coin has ten coins. If one is removed and the balance is disrupted, the remaining nine coins will become sentient due to their desire to become whole, thus giving birth to greedy beings.
Even the five greedy individuals around him were unaware of this; they were born with only nine coins in their bodies, and he had already taken six of them.
Therefore, these greedy individuals believe that the desire to become whole only restores the nine core coins within their bodies, and they are unaware of the existence of the tenth one.
Currently, this new greedy being, though weak, is still subject to the same principles governing the creation of greedy beings. It's just that this tenth one...
After much thought, the first Oz could only conclude that Kara had taken it or hidden it somewhere else.
After all, the greedy one has already been born, and one of them has indeed disappeared without a trace.
"These cell coins are yours."
Wang said something to the greedy people behind him, then used his legs to leap up and leave the underground chamber.
Anku also spread his wings and left. He didn't care about ordinary cell coins. Moreover, he had something more important to do: he wanted to avenge that innocent little girl!
Mezier was also preparing to leave; after all, she had no shortage of Cell Coins, and with her abilities, she could have as many as she wanted.
Meanwhile, Gamel picked them up one by one.
Kazali and Ufan looked at the few cell coins and left without looking back.
Reggie was a greedy man who looked like a child. The number of cellular coins he produced was so small that they didn't even bother with him.
"Mezier, here are these coins for you!"
Gamel gave the coin he had picked up to Mezl.
Just as Mezier was about to refuse, a coin suddenly rolled over and hit her high-heeled boot.
"Um?"
Feeling a faint consciousness coming from his feet, Mezier paused for a moment, then casually pulled Gamel down to squat down and pick up the remaining coins together.
He also picked up the special 'cell coin' at his feet.
After being collected by Mezir, Regedo felt as if he had entered a warm and humid nest, with Mezir's three blue core coins in front of him, emitting a deep blue glow.
A strange longing arose, and the Core Medal carrying the consciousness of Regedo slowly came to the center of Mezier's three Core Medals, the platinum halo and blue aura slowly merging.
As Mezl returned to his residence after leaving the underground chamber, his body suddenly stiffened. A strange feeling washed over him—a throbbing sensation from his very soul, a comfort that defied description.
She then quickened her pace and immediately returned to the river.
When there is no war, Mezier usually lives in the clear river, which is her private dwelling.
"Who are you? What just happened?"
Mezir interrupted the strange sensations that kept coming and took out the core coin of Regedo.
At that moment, she suddenly noticed that there seemed to be a pattern on this core coin, which she could vaguely make out. It seemed to be a combination of the patterns on her three core coins.
"Hello, Sister Mezier, I am Regedo, the youngest child of Mother."
Regedo conveyed his goodwill to Mezir.
"You called me 'sister'?"
A smile immediately appeared in Mezier's tone.
"Yes, Sister Mezier was the first one Mother created."
"The mother you're referring to, could it be... Kara?"
"Yes."
"The little guy is only born, but he already knows a lot."
"Because I am my mother's most perfect child."
"Really? But I get the feeling you're a half-finished product, or rather, a premature baby? Your Core Medal isn't even as good as the Cell Medal."
Mezir gently stroked the core coin of Regedo.
"Mother must have her reasons for doing this!"
Regedo didn't know how to explain it, because Mezier was right, his core coin was really... hard to explain.
"You call her 'Mother' so naturally."
"Because that's just how it is, just like how you, Sister Mezier, are the eldest sister in the family, it's an indisputable fact."
"Really? You've got a sweet tongue, little one. Do you want to recover your strength?"
Mezier flicked the core coin in his hand lightly, his words full of seduction.
"No, it's no use recovering. It's better to stay in my sister's body for now."
Regedo resolutely refused.
"But I'm very worried about you staying inside my body."
"Sister, I would never harm you. Besides, we greedy people can't die anyway, so I have no reason to lie to you."
Mezier looked at the core coin in his hand, thought it over and over again, and finally agreed.
"Then come in, but don't move around inside my body."
"Okay, sister, just bear with me, I'll be right in."
"Hmph~"
As Regedo's Core Medal forced its way into the middle of his three Core Medals, Mezir subconsciously let out a muffled groan.
"What a naughty child! I told you not to touch things like that."
Mezier's tone sounded reproachful.
"Sister, I'm not moving around randomly. Do you feel comfortable now?"
"Huh? How did you know?"
"That's because my sister is missing too many Core Medals. Although she has the three most basic ones to maintain her body, her stability is far from enough. My Core Medals can help my sister be more stable."
"I see, I didn't know you had this ability."
"I've already told you I'm my mother's most perfect child."
"However, sister, you need to be careful. That king might be about to make a big move."
